There are a lot of videos on line dealing with "best practices" for those suffering from the virus. The important thing is hydration and monitoring for breathing difficulties. It can devolve into pneumonia. At least that's what I've gleaned. Something for fever of course. It is disturbing because it is unknown just what it can do. I would lay in some popsicles (ice lollies) and fruit juices and pedialyte in case of stomach upset. Even baby food jars maybe for nutrition. Puddings etc. Sorry I cant point you to an actual web site. I think the way you treat the flu basically just being extra quick to get medical help if pneumonia sets in.
This video from Dr. Campbell give far more information than the one I linked in my previous post. This video is much more informative than the second long video in my previous post. This NYT article goes into some more detail about the reasons why more adults than children seem to be affected: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/05/health/coronavirus-children.html
Here’s another data point regarding global deaths outside China: https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/iranian-lawmaker-says-50-have-died-coronavirus-outbreak-qom Iranian Lawmaker Says 50 Have Died From Coronavirus Outbreak In Qom Heading into yet another week where headlines across the world are dominated by the coronavirus outbreak, it looks like the market has finally accepted the fact that this virus isn't 'just the flu' as US stocks look headed for a sharp drop at the open, set to build on their losses from last week. Following the release of the latest batch of infection numbers from China and South Korea, the focus Monday morning has shifted back to Iran, where the true scope of the outbreak is rapidly becoming apparent: News reports claim the death toll in the city of Qoms has already hit 50. If true, that would be far and away the largest number of deaths in a single country outside mainland China (at least, that we know of). Iran alone has seemingly tripled the death toll ex-China overnight (even if the deaths haven't yet been counted by Johns Hopkins, SCMP or the other running databases that have been cataloguing the crisis). As far as 'confirmed' cases go, the toll remains at 12, still higher than any other single country ex-China. At least that's what the Iranian Health Ministry is insisting on. But according to a lawmaker who spoke to the Associated Press, the 'true' death toll is 50: A staggering 50 people have died in the Iranian city of Qom from the new coronavirus this month, a lawmaker was quoted as saying on Monday, even as the Health Ministry insisted only 12 deaths have been recorded to date in the country. ...
Yep. Market tanking as a result of the spread there and Italy, South Korea, etc and also I would guess it becoming apparent a communist is going to be the Dem nominee. We are entering the whirlwinds but have no fear as the winds keep rising. Things are going to get a lot worse but Fear Not!: https://www.cnbc.com/pre-markets/
HH, That'a beautiful! On Friday night, the sunset was amazing also imo. We were driving home and I didn't think to try and get a picture because it was soon blocked by houses and a tree line but the sky was completely clear and the sunset was just startling imo. My husband and my son were with me and I just couldn't stop talking about it. +
What a weekend can bring! Breaking: Dow Drops 960 Points at Open Over Fears of Coronavirus The Dow Jones erased all gains for 2020 at its open on Monday over fears of the spread of the coronavirus. The stock market was down 3.12% when it opened on Monday. Over the weekend there were major outbreaks of the coronavirus reported in South Korea, Italy and Iran. The virus is spreading. Six nations banned people crossing the border from Iran in an attempt to cut off the spread of the deadly virus. There are at least 600 cases reported in South Korea. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...960-points-at-open-over-fears-of-coronavirus/
A 3% drop on the open is pretty substantial. Its been a long time since I've actively followed markets in the US but I bet by this afternoon it will be back close to normal.
I doubt if the market will close the day as "back to normal". It's remaining around a 3% drop so far which isn't that alarming in these times of its overwhelming success which has been a good buffer for hard times. But there is a recognized global slow down due to travel problems....airlines getting hit/tourist/cruise/delivery of goods/shortages now....but also the big investment in China by big tech in which so much investment lies these days. There has to be more reporting of some kind of containment or lack of new cases or coming antidote coming sooner than expected to assuage the overall concern before the current upswing could begin again. The U.S. probably won't be as effected due to the policies of this current administration.
A really striking picture from Milan; outside the Duomo di Milano, Milan Cathedral , dedicated to the Nativity of Our Lady. The cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete. It is the largest church in Italy (the larger St. Peter's Basilica is in the State of Vatican City), the third largest in Europe and the fifth largest in the world.[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milan_Cathedral Sometimes a picture is worth ten billion words. Milan a birth place of the Church; home to St Augustine and Ambrose, See of numerous Popes (Those soldiers look like they could do with eating a lot less Pasta Emergency call up Reservists? Really great small arms though...wonderful stylish uniforms.. it's Italy) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-51614639
Wonder what recent orders to the Swiss Guard might be given these days as well.....masks coming there too in the near future?? Those ancient uniforms (costumes) contrasted w/ masks would be something to digest!
I don't think the Swiss Guard or anyone else will be able to stop virus's that come knocking at the door of the Vatican.. I said that the Holy Father will be gone before the end of this year at the start of the year. I repeat that.
This is an excellent video. In the last 5-7 minutes or so, it names Bill Gates as a very bad guy in the corona virus scenario. That info came out early on this thread and it is being confirmed.
