The 'spat' between them is not in itself what I was trying to bring attention to; but, rather, the underlying issue i.e, whether or not Benedict XVI resigned properly and whether he is still the Pope. +
I don't know the background behind the following photo but Ann B seems a little off to me and not just because of this photo. I steer clear of her. I much prefer to read Edward Pentin's twitter posts. He sticks to the facts as much as possible and I think that we really should do that. It is fine to be critical about the words and actions of the pope but to continue (and continue and continue) to conjecture about whether or not he really is the pope is simply not Catholic.
I have to disagree. Bergoglio's actions tell us that he seems to be set on transforming the Catholic Church into his own (anti-)church, and he has many cardinals, bishops and priests who are on his side. If Benedict XVI is still the Pope, it would make a world of difference. Bergoglio wouldn't have any authority and those he promoted or appointed would also have none. As I have mentioned before, I believe that Bergoglio and Pope Benedict XVI are the 2 men in the vision of the 3rd secret of Fatima. One is a 'bishop in white' and the other the Holy Father. When he went to Fatima, Bergoglio even referred to himself as the 'bishop in white'! I also think it is very unkind to portray Ann B as someone who is 'off'. And is it true that she does not stick to facts? +
This has been my concern about the warning; because we know it will happen when the world will be at its worse and how bad is the worse and what does it look like? Our Lady of Kibeho Rwanda showed the children in 1982 , what the worse looked like in Rwanda! On January 12, 1982 she told Anathalie one of the seers...... “My child, you must pray, for the world is in a horrible way; people have turned from God and the love of my Son, Jesus.”6 Our Lady then asked Anathalie if she would help save souls, adding that she would suffer much if she accepted the mission. Anathalie agreed whole-heartedly to this request—a task she continues to this day. “No one goes to heaven without suffering,” Our Lady told her, “and as a child of Mary, you may never put down the cross you bear.”7 Then, holding her rosary, the student knelt and received a blessing from the Virgin Mary before she departed. When Anathalie awoke, she was surrounded by friends and a few nuns who informed her that she had been in the same kind of trance Alphonsine had experienced. However, when Anathalie told them she spoke with Our Lady, they believed her. On another occasion, the Blessed Mother told Anathalie, “When I show myself to someone and talk to them, I want to turn to the whole world. If I am turning to the parish of Kibeho, it does not mean that I am concerned only for Kibeho, or for the Diocese of Butare, or for Rwanda, or for the whole of Africa. I am concerned with and turning to the whole world. The world is evil and rushes towards its ruin. It is about to fall in its abyss. The world is in rebellion against God. Many sins are being committed. There is no love and no peace. If you do not repent and convert your hearts, you will all fall into an abyss.”8 The most significant vision occurred on August 15, 1982, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. By that time, news of the apparitions had already spread far and wide. In eager anticipation, thousands of pilgrims descended upon Kibeho for the occasion of the Solemnity, many looking for miracles, cures for themselves or for family members, answers to prayers or spiritual healings. Entering into ecstasy, Alphonsine began to sing her accustomed song of welcome to Our Lady, but she stopped abruptly. Six times more she began the song, but Our Lady interrupted her every time. Alphonsine was struck by the deeply sorrowful countenance of Our Lady. The Virgin was silent for some minutes, and then she began to weep. When Alphonsine asked why she was crying, Our Lady shed even more copious tears. Our Lady told her to sing a song that was to portend the seriousness of this particular apparition. Alphonsine began the song as directed: People are not grateful, / They don’t love me, / I came from heaven for nothing, / I left all the good things there for nothing. / My heart is full of sadness, / My child, show me the love, / You love me, / Come closer to my heart.10 The Heavenly Mother had come to ask for repentance, fasting, penance, prayer; and her children were not responding. Suddenly the crowd heard Alphonsine’s frightfully piercing screams. She was shown a river of blood, of decapitated heads, of corpses piled high upon each other, of untold destruction, torture, and hatred. “So much blood!” The horror continued to unfold before her tear-filled eyes as she saw a million headless bodies piled up in a vast land, and not a single living person to help bury the dead. As Alphonsine recounted the graphic vision, horrified parents left the scene, fearing that further descriptive words from the seer would traumatize their children. At the conclusion of the vision, the seer sang a song to Jesus, pleading for His mercy. The other two visionaries, Anathalie and Marie-Claire, experienced the same dreadful vision on this day: mass murder, the river of blood, piles of corpses. They reported seeing a tree on fire, an open chasm and a “monster”. The visions lasted for hours. The seers all wept and begged the people to listen to Our Lady’s plea: they had to love and forgive one another, turn in prayer to God, who is more powerful than all evil. 12 years later....... In April 1994, President Juvenal Habyarimana was killed and within one hour of the president’s death, a bloody massacre unfolded which was to prove the accuracy of the prophetic visions. The executions spread like wildfire throughout the country. It is estimated that, in just three months, almost one million were killed as the extremist Hutus targeted the minority Tutsis and moderate Hutus. Militias set up roadblocks to slaughter the Tutsis, many with machetes. Neighbors killed neighbors; Hutu husbands were forced to kill Tutsi wives. The “river of blood” seen by the visionaries materialized, as the Kagera River was “used to dispose of corpses as thousands of Tutsis and Hutu political moderates were murdered on the river banks. The river carried the massacred bodies into Lake Victoria, creating a serious health hazard in Uganda.” 12 The New York Times claimed that as many as 100 bodies per hour were being washed ashore in Uganda or onto the Islands in Lake Victoria. “Bodies lay crumpled, some hardly visible among the piles of burlap sacks, cooking pots and clothes: a mother whose child was still tied to her back, a young boy thrown over the torso of a man, another curled up in between the ashes of cooking fires. And everywhere there was blood, flies.”13 Our Ladys words......"If I am turning to the parish of Kibeho, it does not mean that I am concerned only for Kibeho, or for the Diocese of Butare, or for Rwanda, or for the whole of Africa. I am concerned with and turning to the whole world."!!
I was just thinking last night what a wonderful thing it would be if Bishops lead us in Reparation; Fasting, Penance and prayer for a period of time to avert the Sword of Justice. It would be especially good is specific threats, such as Coronavirus were named. It surprising this is not being done. If for instance I were a Catholic Bishop whose Diocese was threatened by a rumbling volcano this would be the very first thing I would think of. I see crime rates in Mexico City have dropped massively since they introduced adoration. https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/adoration-chapels-leading-to-decreased-crime-in-mexico
Its really interesting in our new Traditional Latin Mass Parish. They have a solid hour of Adoration before each mass, which the priests leads from kneelers at the front. As soon as I saw this I thought to myself that they would be hugely successful in the city. Just from doing Adoration on its own. It is a sure fire recipe for Spiritual Success. So it has proved to be. The numbers attending keep going up and up and up. Another good thing is on Fridays , prayers of reparation to the Sacred Heart. Another Spiritual Bulls eye. Looking for economic, Societal , Enviromental, political answers miss the point. We have to seek first the Kingdom of God and all else will be granted unto to us. The main agenda of the Church is Spiritual. The Church is not the United Nations, not Socialist, not Free Mason, not Globalist. The Church is Spiritual Mother to her children. All her children.
SG, The fact is that Pope Francis is the current pope and as Catholics we need to regard him as such, Ann B is not in agreement with this which is very grave. I think that most members would agree that it would be better/easier if PEB was still the pope but when did Our Lord state that following him would be easy? I believe that He stated just the opposite. No, it is not unkind to state that Ann B is a little off. What she is stating is damaging to our souls and this should be pointed out again and again and again. +
I am afraid I don't really know any homosexuals. Well I must do I suppose but I can't think of any. I'd be curious to meet some, just to see. I think maybe in Scripture they are so strong against it , especially in the Old Testament, is that it is a sin that does not sit still but like a virus spreads. As you mention it seeks to justify itself. It would not be happy to sit in a closet but must come out, screaming at you. It will never be happy unless it rules the roost, as you mention to ease its conscience. It reminds me of something Winston Churchill said about Islam.
I know, Padraig, that you mean well and I do appreciate it but I'm no more worthy of attention than anyone else here - and a lot less so than some. It makes me feel such a fraud because I'm all over the place on the Pope Francis problem. I have no right to publicly call him an apostate, and I apologise for having done so. In truth, I don't know where is the line between judging a person's actions and judging that person's credibility based on his actions. The Pope says that he's a faithful son of the Church. The fact that he is Pope and the fact that we are obliged to think the best of people means that I have no right to disbelieve him on that. At the same time, I can't unsee what the whole world saw at the opening of the Amazonian Synod - the Pope presiding over one pagan ceremony worshipping a false god and participating in an act of homage to the same idol at another ceremony. I don't know how that wasn't a public declaration of apostasy from the Christian faith - a breach of the 1st Commandment "I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt have no strange gods before Me". Neither can I forget the Abu Dhabi statement. Nevertheless, whatever my personal questions about whether the Pope is Catholic, I have no authority to question in public his faith or his right to hold office. That's a job for Bishops and probably a future Pope. So, I urge everyone reading this to, please, pray, use your own judgement, pay attention to Bishops who don't prevaricate about the faith and pray some more. We all here are just ordinary Catholics trying to navigate our way through difficult days and none of us, least of all me, has teaching authority. Saints should be our role models. I haven't read a single mention of St. Sophronius questioning the validity of the papacy of Honorius 1 despite Honorius siding with Sergius on such a vital matter as the two natures of Jesus. It wasn't easy for Sophronius being out of favour with the Pope but he's a saint now and the only reason anyone remembers Honorius is that he was anathematized for failing to do his duty of defending the faith. Maybe a novena to St. Sophronius would be a good idea. At this time of trial, we Catholics need to be united in faith. Squabbling over something we have no authority to resolve is the devil's work. We have to make allowances for each other's shortcomings and foibles, recognising that we all have the same wish to be one with Jesus in His Church. Pay attention to that post of Josephite's about Rwanda. I'm seeing in Europe Catholics being splintered into political camps which are focused on ideologies rather than the Catholic faith with bits of Catholic teaching being used to justify what appears to be a descent into polarisation and extremism. Neither side is a good fit for Catholics and I fear what it could lead to. It appears to me that, sadly, poor leadership in the Church has no small part in fomenting this polarisation. I knew that the Pope kind of inherited Egenio Scalfari from Cardinal Martini, and I knew that the late Cardinal Martini was well known to be sympathetic to the Freemasons, some people even suggesting that he was a Mason. I had never read that Scalfar himself was a Mason until I read this piece in the Eponymous Flower: https://eponymousflower.blogspot.com/2015/03/bergoliata-or-scalfariade-scalfaris-new.html Another article on a German Catholic website seems to say that Scalfari is an opponent of the Masonic tradition but that's a Google translation of the original German so it could be wrong. Anyway, the article itself seems to reinforce the belief that Scalfari is being used by the Pope to put out a message which is somewhat contradictory to the Faith. I'll quote the article in a separate post because some folk reading this probably don't have the option of Google translate.
Here's the Google translation of the Katolisches article dated November 3, 2014 (original in link provided). The interviews were published on the Vatican website but later removed. https://katholisches.info/2014/11/0...verlag-gibt-papst-interviews-als-buch-heraus/ Pope Francis' Scalfari Magisterium - Vatican Publishing publishes Pope Interviews as a book Pope interviews in book form (Rome) The high level confusion continues. In the truest sense of the word, because there is confusion in Pope Bergoglio's Vatican and new ones are added every day. After the strange invitation of Leoncavallo in the Vatican (representatives of the left-wing center "Leoncavallo", which has been the proverbial "center" of left-wing violence in Italy for 39 years, were received by Pope Francis in the Vatican on October 28), the Vatican publishing house Libreria Editrice Vaticana has now published the "interviews and talks with journalists". All controversial “recognized interviews by Pope Francis, published by the Osservatore Romano, the daily newspaper of the Holy See and other newspapers” are published in book form. Francis insists on interviews as part of his teaching post With the publication they are given special meaning. The emphasis is on "recognized" interviews. So far, the question of authenticity has been highly controversial. Especially since Eugenio Scalfari, doyen of left-liberal journalism, announced that he himself had formulated the papal answers in the two interviews he conducted with Pope Francis. However, the printing was done with the Pope's express printing permission, according to Scalfari. The Vatican never really denied it. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi performed strange egg dances in connection with the publication of both Scalfari interviews, with which he confirmed the content of the controversial statements by the Pope, but at the same time tried to distance himself. So far, not a few Catholics have denied that the interviews are part of the papal magisterium. Pope Francis always seems to have seen it differently. Since the Osservatore Romano reprinted the interviews and even published them on the Holy See's website as part of the papal magisterium, withdrew them again and republished them, there can hardly be any doubt after the collected edition by the Vatican publishers that Pope Francis took the form prefers teaching documents to the quick and controversial interview and attaches an authentic statement of his teaching post to them. The “worst evil” in the world: “youth unemployment” Pope Francis' Scalfari Magisterium The first Scalfari interview with the Pope appeared on October 1, 2013 in the daily La Repubblica . The Pope did not describe the “worst evils” that “plague the world”, such as the loss of faith, the denial of God or the attacks on non-negotiable values and natural law. No, Pope Bergoglio called "youth unemployment" and "loneliness of the elderly" the "worst evils" that depress the world. This amazed even an atheist and opponent of the old Masonic tradition like Eugenio Scalfari, who drew the Pope's attention to the fact that youth unemployment is a "political and economic problem" that affects "the states, the governments, the parties and the unions" more. Shouldn't the Pope take care of God? But Bergoglio confirmed his statement and repeated that this was "the most urgent and dramatic problem for the Church, too." "Everyone has their own view of good and evil" - diametrically opposed to the teaching of the Church, yet silence The most explosive statement of the interview is far more serious. Pope Francis, according to Scalfari, said: “Each of us has our own view of good and bad. We have to encourage the other person to move towards what he thinks is good. ” Again, Scalfari was almost speechless in the face of such statements from the mouth of a Pope: “Conscience is autonomous, you said, everyone has to obey his own conscience. I think those are the bravest sayings made by a pope. ” Although Scalfari explicitly pointed out the importance of this statement, Pope Bergoglio insisted in this case as well: “And here I repeat it. Everyone has their own ideas of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight the evil as they perceive it. That would be enough to improve the world. " Officially, people in the church were silent about the words of the Pope and pretended not to hear them. There was no shortage of negative comments, even from the highest church representatives, with the indication that the papal assertion was diametrically opposed to the entire church teaching and was also downright dangerous, because with such a statement even Stalin and Hitler would have justified their worst crimes can. Criticism of liberalism, but not of Marxism On top of that. Another statement caused discomfort. The Pope pronounced a harsh condemnation of "unbridled liberalism", but said nothing against the Marxist left or liberation theology. But on the contrary. In both cases, he praises the followers of these ideologies. Finally, Pope Francis condemned Catholic "proselytism" as "huge stupidity" because "our goal is not proselytism, but listening to needs, wishes and disappointments". This is despite the fact that Jesus gives the order in Holy Scripture: “All power is given to me in heaven and on earth. Therefore go to all peoples and make all men my disciples; baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all that I have commanded you. Be certain: I am with you every day until the end of the world ”(Mt 28,18-20). "There is no Catholic God" In his astonishing remarks, Pope Francis even said: “I believe in God. I don't believe in a Catholic God, there is no Catholic God, there is God. ”In the meantime there is also the Pope's statement that there is no God himself, but the three divine persons, but not God. A lot of words, a lot of confusion. Bergoglio's eschatological remarks to Scalfari should not go unmentioned: “I remember in my letter to you that our species will also end, but the light of God will never end, which will then go to all souls penetrate and will be all in all. The transcendence persists, because this light, which is all in all, transcends the universe and the species present there at this stage ”. No denials The next day, the interview was reprinted by the Osservatore Romano and published on the Holy See's website. Only a few brave voices rose up and dared to say that no one of the same kind had ever been said by a Pope, was contradictory or even openly contradicted Catholic teaching. Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi literally stuttered, the Vatican was so horrified by the interview that they knew nothing about it, which obviously had surprised everyone, but from which one could not distance himself because Pope Francis did not want to distance himself. Father Lombardi tried to square the circle by trying to persuade himself that the Pope had not seen the text personally before going to press. Nobody could really convince Lombardi's statement. Scalfari enjoyed the pleasure of describing the printing of the interview in detail before the foreign press. Accordingly, it may be true that Pope Francis no longer watched the finished interview, but that it had been sent to him by Scalfari before going to press and that the Pope granted the printing permit. One could conclude from this that Pope Francis had so much faith in Scalfari that he accepted everything, no matter what the journalist wrote. As already mentioned, a denial never occurred. Conclusions must also be drawn from this. Only on November 15, a month and a half later, was the interview deleted from the Vatican website. When asked again, Vatican spokesman Lombardi had to perform further contortion exercises. The interview is "credible in its entirety", but "not in the individual reviews". Finally, to add that "the State Secretariat" ordered its deletion. continued in next post/........
continued from previous post/....... Affected silence of some - urge to publish by others It was only then that Bergoglio fans among the Catholic media, such as the Vatican Insider , dared to criticize the interview with caution and to state that it "actually contained statements that were difficult to attribute to Pope Francis". Even then Scalfari was to blame. However, he credibly assured that he had reproduced the content of the statements made by the Pope. The lack of denial from the Vatican confirmed him. Especially now that the interview is even published in book form by the Vatican publishers. Unfortunately, the result will not be a serious and mature examination of the dubious, controversial to intolerable statements of the interview, but an even greater silence of the church representatives, who would actually be obliged to speak. Silence seems to want to sit out the “problem”. But Pope Francis and his closest confidants are not calm. They seem to want to make the "revolutionary" statements of the Pope public, otherwise the publications can not be explained by Osservatore Romano , vatican.va and now the Vatican publishing house . Second Scalfari interview The "dialogue" between the Pope and the anti-Pope continued despite these stumbling blocks as if nothing had happened. On July 13, Scalfari published a second Pope Interview in La Repubblica , again peppered with astonishing statements. Bergoglio said, "If [someone] chooses evil because he is certain that something good will come of it from the heights of heaven, then these intentions and their consequences will be taken into account. We can't say more because we don't know anymore. " Regarding the perennial favorite of church opponents outside the church and progressive circles within the church, celibacy, the Pope said to the astonishment of church historians: "Celibacy was established in the 10th century" and regarding the possibility for priests to marry: "it takes time, but the solutions are there and I will find them ”. But it is even more explosive: when Pope Francis raised the issue of pedophilia and the church, he named a far excessive percentage of clerics affected and added that there are "priests and even bishops and cardinals" among the pedophiles. If that were the case, he would have had to intervene long ago as head of the church instead of reporting on it in clarified interviews. Breathtaking-bizarre non-distancing As early as the morning of July 13, though Sunday, some influential cardinals seem to have picked up the phone and spoke energetic words. Once again, Vatican spokesman Lombardi had to move out and attempt a breathtaking, bizarre balancing act that could only fail with a tortuous explanation. In this case, too, there was no word from Pope Francis about distancing or correcting (see also Cardinals among pedophiles? "Finding a solution" for celibacy abolition? - New bizarre Pope interview with Scalfari ). Father Lombardi could not deny the content because the Pope was unwilling to distance himself from his own words. The Vatican spokesman therefore denied the lack of any other possibility of the form: "You can never speak of an interview" as if it were ultimately relevant. In particular, the statements about "pedophile" cardinals and celibacy could not be "surely" attributed to the Pope. After all, according to the Vatican spokesman, Scalfari did not put the quotation marks correctly, which is why “manipulation” of the reader cannot be ruled out. The choice of words was astonishing. The Vatican spokesman made a serious reproach to a journalist like “manipulation”, which goes back and forth with Pope Francis like a friend of the house. Whoever complained and Father Lombardi urged past the Pope to intervene had two concerns that came up to him. However, there would have been more important points in both Scalfari interviews that would have required correction. And now, in autumn 2014, the interviews will be reprinted, including all controversial statements by the Vatican publishers. The book is personally edited by Don Giuseppe Costa. In addition to the two Scalfari interviews discussed here, the anthology also contains other, no less controversial, interviews. What are the conclusions? When does the inner church discussion of the papal urge to communicate begin? The Rector of Perugia University of Journalism, Antonio Socci, asks another question: "Can a Pope sow this confusion among the faithful?" Text: Giuseppe Nardi Image: Corrispondenza Romana
It looks like Scalfari probably is a Freemason. Another Katolische article from July 2014 says this: Cardinals among pedophiles too? "Find solution" for celibacy abolition? - New bizarre pope interview with Scalfari (Rome) Eugenio Scalfari is clearly the preferred atheist interlocutor of Pope Francis. Scalfari, founder and long-time editor-in-chief of La Repubblica , the leading left-liberal daily newspaper in Italy and an avowed atheist from a family with an ancient Masonic tradition, published the summary of a new conversation he had with the Pope in today's Sunday edition of the Repubblica . This time the Vatican responded promptly. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi published a statement in the morning. Some considerations less about the content (for now), but about the form. you can read the rest here: https://katholisches.info/2014/07/1...-neues-bizarres-papst-interview-mit-scalfari/
Dolours your conflict inside yourself echoes mine. I dont know what to think or what to say moment to moment. I simply dont feel I have the right to say anything about the pope. I take this to confession often. But having said that your commentary is concise analytical well expressed and often quite witty. I enjoy reading your comments so please dont stop. We will all get through this. It wont be easy but we will get through this. Our Lady will be with us every step as long as we stick with her, rosary in hand.
Thanks to Father Mark Goring for once again keeping me abreast of things... And thanks to Maike Hickson for the same, among others mentioned below who continue to speak out in defense of the Truth ... Blogs VP of German Bishops’ Conference: Christ ‘became a human being, not a man’ Bishop Franz-Josef Bode is the head of the 'synodal path' discussion forum on women. Fri Feb 7, 2020 - 10:53 am EST | https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/...ference-christ-became-a-human-being-not-a-man Bishop Franz-Josef Bode, vice president of the German Bishops' Conference Flickr.com February 7, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – “For us, Christ became a human being, not a man,” according to Bishop Franz-Josef Bode of Osnabrück, the vice president of the German Bishops’ Conference and head of the “synodal path” discussion forum on women. Bode made these comments, which are now causing a stir internationally, in a controversial February 5 interview to the diocesan newspaper Kirchenbote. “The collaboration between women and men,” he explains, “is one of the most important signs of the time.” Bode makes these comments in the context of the debates of the synodal path's discussion forum “Women in Ministries and Offices of the Church” which he, together with the theologian Professor Dorothea Sattler, heads. These two leaders also headed the preparatory forum which issued a preparatory document even before the synodal path officially started its first assembly at the end of January 2020. “A human being is either a man(male)or a woman (female). To deny that Jesus became a man (male) is heretical,” responded Father Gerald Murray, a frequent EWTN guest, on Twitter. “The German Synodal Way is a fraudulent usurpation of the Church's teaching authority as this comment shows. Shut it down.” Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, also weighed in, tweeting: “Bishop Bode...I respectfully call you as one bishop to another to return to the truth of the Deposit of Faith for your salvation and for the good of the Church. Your statement that Christ became a human being but not a man is ridiculous & heretical. I cannot stand by in silence!” Bode's collaborator, Professor Sattler, already said something similar about Jesus Christ in September 2019 when she stated: “God could have also become a human being as a woman.” Theologically, this would have been possible. But 2,000 years ago, she added, it was wise from God in light of the “cultural conditions” then to become a human being as a man. She further expounded that in theology it was always about “God's Incarnation, not about his becoming a man.” The question of “gender,” Sattler explained, “has no relevance with regard to the theology of redemption.” All these arguments seem to be an attempt at undermining the Church's definitive teaching that women are excluded from the Sacrament of Holy Orders. In his new February 5 interview, Bode also says that the synodal path's forum on women wishes to discuss what is today already possible with regard to the equality of women in the Church. At the same time, one does not wish to lose out of sight the fundamental questions, that is to say, the question of “ordained” offices for women, according to Bode. In April 2019, this German bishop announced that the topic of the female “diaconate” will be part of the synodal discussions in Germany. “We will not be able to avoid the question of women,” he then added. It it interesting to see that, even though the synodal path as organized by the German Bishops' Conference and the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK) insists that it is meant to be participatory, one of the leading figures of this process had already promoted and announced one of its topics nearly a year before the beginning of that very process. Bode is also a member of the small committee which organizes the synodal path. Next to him, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Professor Thomas Sternberg (the head of the ZdK) and his representative are in that group. Many commentators in Germany criticize this way of steering the current synodal path that is to take place for the next two years. As a matter of fact, an internet survey among some 5,000 German Catholics in preparation for the synodal discussions has shown that the question of so-called female ordination was “very little” mentioned by the participants. Bishop Bode now goes as far as to suggest that, had women been more included, the “cover-up” of clerical sex abuse “would have taken another course.” He refers here to “decisions made by cliques of men,” indicating that the cover-up took place mainly because the responsible persons were male. This same idea is also found in the preparatory document of the discussion forum on women as headed by Bode and Sattler. The document asks: “Would the situation world-wide [concerning the clerical sex abuse] be different, had women more leadership responsibility in the Roman Catholic Church?” In order not to lose women as members of the Church, the text states that “also the question of the sacramental ordination of women has to be asked.” Furthermore, the document asks with regard to the possibility of female sacramental “ordination”: “Is there at all a possibility to gain, with human power of knowledge, certainty about the Will of God in this matter?”, thus questioning the binding nature of the doctrinal teachings of the Church in this field. The authors explicitly question the binding character of the papal document Ordinatio Sacerdotalis, in which Pope St. John Paul II, in a definitive manner, ruled out in 1994 the priestly “ordination” of women. This preparatory document, as prepared under the leadership of Bishop Bode, even questions the very nature of dogmas, claiming that human insights and positions are “always fallible”: “Each theological insight of men thereby always is marked by fallibility,” they write. In his February 5 interview, Bishop Bode also repeated his desire for married priests who would continue to have their normal profession and work as priests on the weekends and as a side-job. The usual form of priesthood could co-exist with the new one, he claimed: “I am of the opinion that there can be both forms.” Not only is Bishop Bode in favor of female “deacons” and married priests, he is also known for his support of the blessing of homosexual couples, a topic which is also part of the agenda of the synodal path. In January 2018, Bode proposed that the Catholic Church discuss the possibility of such a liturgical blessing, and in 2019, he wrote a foreword to a book with the same topic. Already in 2018, Cardinal Reinhard Marx had announced that the German Bishops' Conference had established a commission in order to reflect upon such a possible blessing. Also in 2019, Bishop Bode said about the question as to whether he could picture a woman leading a Eucharistic celebration: “My imagination would allow it.” In light of these reform ideas of Bishop Bode, it might be worth quoting here a prominent Protestant journalist and manager from Germany, Michael J. Inacker. In response to the German synodal path, Inacker commented on twitter: “Strange why Catholics imitate many of the mistakes of us Protestants with passion. What was once diversity in the #evangelical church is now reduced to simplicity. Nothing with a Christian profile. Cardinal #Woelki is right when he warns against Protestantization of Catholicism.”
No one has been able to counter her argument that Pope Benedict's resignation is invalid. Bishop Gracida agrees that it needs investigation. But, no one in the hierarchy will investigate. They come across as failing in their duty as shepherds. Abp Vigano said, "For more than six years now we have been poisoned by a false magisterium". Abp Vigano also refers to him as Pope Bergoglio, and not Pope Francis. Why? To me, it is just crazy to keep thinking of Bergoglio as the true pope when he is so openly anti-Catholic. No, he is an enemy. It is perfectly legitimate to have doubt about Pope Benedict's resignation because he did not resign his munus. This is not about picking up our crosses and following Jesus. Jesus gave us the papacy so that the true Faith will be defended. What about all the warnings by Our Blessed Mother about Satan entering our Church? What about Cardinal Ciappi's statement that the 3rd Fatima secret says that the 'apostasy will begin from the top'? Just look at all the poisonous stuff that's coming from this 'false magisterium'! How can that come from a true pope? Even if he had validly ascended the See, his many horrible statements, documents and idol-worshipping actions make him an apostate. Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As St John Chyrsostom commented on this verse, "...in the discussion of truth the dignity of persons is not to be considered." Posting that picture of her and saying she is off is unkind. +
