Hi Glenn, Do you suppose communism to be the principal reason Conchita - as I have been told - has a flat located in Fatima, Portugal? Given that Spain and Portugal are geographically contiguous countries, after the foretold Warning, Conchita will be better 'positioned' to swiftly return to Garabandal (which could be under communist or totalitarian rule at that time) in advance of the subsequent Great Miracle? Conveniently, these two locales are a mere 720 km (~447 miles) away from each other by road. To answer your question "No" that is not the reason,in my opinion. Why , because you "assume" she wants to return to Garabandal, after the Warning,which may not be the case. IMO, she has no reason to ever return to Garabandal. Knowing her as well as I do, she is a humble and reserved person who never seeks the "limelight", and returning to Garabandal (which she has never done,since she left in 1973) would be cause absolute chaos for her. She can just as easily give the 8 day notice of the Miracle from America, where she enjoys safety & anonymity. Portugal has always been more of a spiritual vacation spot for her,and since people already know about that place, it wouldn't take long for word to get out she is there, and she'll be mobbed there too. Remember her words about Garabandal: " I remember my village caused me to suffer. I felt as if I was imprisoned. I acted by the commands of others who constantly advised me " Go to mass, Pray the rosary, Do this, Give up that ". At times I thought I would be happy in a hermitage away from everyone, and to work there alone for God and see what I was capable of doing without their forever telling me." Ofcourse she may change her mind, but if I was a betting man, I would bet she will be safely tucked away from everyone (especially the media ),and I have a pretty good idea where she will be ( but I won't say for obvious reasons). Thanks, Glenn. Wow - I didn't realize that Conchita hasn't returned to her hometown, Garabandal, since 1973. This, in itself, must be quite a cross. As you've aptly stated, her humility is clearly beyond reproach. This unwavering conviction has been founded on all the interviews and testimonies that I've encountered over the years. Of course, as her longtime friend, you would have firsthand knowledge of this fact. Blessings!

JANUARY 27, 1962: CONCHITA'S MUCH AWAITED ECSTASIES START AGAIN Having known for some weeks already that Conchita would see the Blessed Virgin again, many witnesses came on this January 27 to attend the resumption of her ecstasies. There are many prophecies and statements by our Blessed Mother that have come true already. #1.She said "less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist". Mass attendance is dramatically down. If people truly believed in the Eucharist, why would they not attend mass? Imagine how sad this makes Jesus. #2." Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them." - Some are misguided with their own personal agendas, others have hurt children, others have given in to temptation of evil. Others have caused many to leave the church. This is why we must pray for priests. #3. " No World War 3 " There has been none since she predicted this. In my opinion, in WW1 & WW2, the world was equally divided, you were either on one side or the other politically. The Middle East ( which has been fighting since the beginning of time it seems) and other countries, like Korea, seem to be headed there again . It is possible to have multiple large scale wars ,but for different reasons. Obviously, the Middle East war , might not have anything to do with a conflict with N. Korea, China, Russia or the US. It is possible to have the world at war, but not in the sense of the world equally divided as it was with WW1 & WW2. Lets remember also God will invoke the "Warning" when the world is at its worst ( most likely preventing that war. ) #4. Padre Pio would see the Miracle. When Conchita found out Padre Pio died in Sept. 1968, she met his close friend, Father Bernardino Cennamo, at Lourdes, and asked him, "How is it that Our Lady told me Padre Pio would see the Miracle and he has died?" Father Cenammo responded, "Padre Pio saw the Miracle before he died. He told me himself." #5. Ban lifted on priests going up to Garabandal. "A bishop will come along who will not believe at first, but will receive a sign and allow priests to go up to Garabandal for the Miracle." — Conchita in a 1962 letter to Fr. Jose Ramon Garcia de la Riva In 1987, Bishop del Val officially lifted restrictions on priests going up to Garabandal and gave the pastor of Garabandal at the time, Father Juan Gonzalez Gomez, authority to allow visiting priests to celebrate Mass in the village church. #6. The predicted appearance of the Communion host on Conchita's tongue. Conchita called this the " Little Miracle". For some time, the girls pleaded with the Blessed Virgin and Saint Michael to perform a miracle to convince those who would not believe. On June 22, 1962, Saint Michael told Conchita, that in response to this request, God would permit the invisible Host to be made visible on her tongue. Conchita announced this “little miracle” fifteen days in advance. On July 19, 1962 at 1:30AM Conchita left her house in ecstasy, turned a corner and dropped to her knees in an adjacent lane. She put out her tongue. Those just inches away affirmed that it was bare. In a startling flash, a brilliant white Host materialized on the girl’s tongue. Alejandro Damians, a businessman from Barcelona with a borrowed movie camera and flashlight illumination, took several frames capturing in black and white contrast this miracle of the Visible Host. Multiple eyewitnesses present that night, standing near Conchita, also testified publicly to the sudden appearance of the Host. #7.The increase of abortions. Among the fulfilled prophecies of Garabandal was one that only came to light with the publication of a German book [Garabandal — Der Zeigefinger Gottes.] on Garabandal in 1992. The author, Albrecht Weber, was in Garabandal on the day after Conchita's last apparition at Garabandal on November 13,1965, and had a long conversation with the visionary. The following excerpt from his book deals with some of what the visionary told him: She [Conchita] spoke quite openly about the developments by which men in the near future would rebel against God. On the day after Our Lady's last appearance at Garabandal, Conchita asked the author, "Can you imagine how somebody could kill children in the womb without thereby killing the mother?" The author spontaneously answered, "No! What gave you that idea, Conchita?""Well, the Blessed Mother spoke about this and she let me know that this will happen with the overflowing of the chalice." [In her second Message of June 18,1965, the Virgin said, "Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over."]Conchita said this tremblingly without being able to visualize what it really implied. She said further that it disturbed her very much but that she felt ridiculous because she hadn't understood at all how this killing could be effected. The Blessed Virgin had not explained it to her and up until that moment, nobody had been able to make her understand it at all.Conchita would learn soon enough when abortion became legalized, even in her native country. The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time . #8. Mary prophesied at Garabandal that one of the remaining popes (after the apparitions) will have a very short reign. Then, Pope John-Paul I died mysteriously on September 28, 1978 after having reigned for only 33 days. It proved to be the shortest of a pope in over a thousand years. In time , we will see and understand many more of her predictions come to fruition.

The world — men prone to serve the flesh — inclines to ease and not to combat, to pleasure and not to service, to leisure and not to work, to the good life and not to good living. This manner of living — spread throughout the Church — is inflicting mortal wounds. Pseudo-prophets, with their distorted nuances ranting about renewal and liberation, are attempting to discredit the ascetic and penitential way of life, as though asceticism were not an evangelical sign, but the despised remnant of a naive and misled monastic spirituality unworthy of esteem. Self sacrifice? Self denial? Self renunciation? How absurd! Neither the clergy nor the laity want any of this. Anti-asceticism is the order of the day. But for whom did Jesus say, If anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross? (Mt. 16: 24)Certainly this is not for those who never mention Him except to speak about self-determination, self-fulfillment, self-advancement . . . Thus many things explain themselves. How could a person like this accept the message of June 18th that insistently requests things that they themselves are trying at all costs to renounce? — You should sacrifice yourself more. — Think of the Passion of Jesus. The Passion of Jesus! They are not interested in this. They are only interested in talking of things more to the liking of the man of today. For them the only things that matter are actions and words favorable to their self-expression and lifestyle, which is far removed from, He made Himself obedient to death, the death of the cross! [How much some would like to efface one of the principal declarations of the Gospel: Enter by the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who enter that way. How small the gate and narrow the way that leads to like! And few there are who find it. It is a very interesting interview and I want to underline the sentence of Conchita saying that she would be very old at the time of the miracle. I tell you the story of Father Morelos’s dialogue with Conchita: * My uncle went more than once to visit the seers a little while after the apparitions ended and before the denials. In one of those visits, Father Morelos was in Conchita’s house, more precisely in Conchita’s kitchen and they were alone. My uncle was very obsessive, somewhat capricious, but with a lot of faith. St. Michael taught the girls how to receive communion Throughout the period of the apparitions, Saint Michael brought Holy Communion to the visionaries on days when mass was unavailable in the village. It is worth recalling his instructions on reception of the Eucharist. Before receiving communion he requested of the children to say an Act of Contrition and before thanksgiving after reception he taught them to say the Anima Christi (“Soul of Christ”) of Saint Ignatius Loyola.
