I have read that Fr Luis before he died saw the miracle, but I can’t remember if he spoke about a Chastisement.

Thank you. Christmas is nearly upon us and, as the saying goes here "there's not a child in house washed", which means that I'll have the usual last-minute rush and ours will be the last house on the road to be decorated.

What I like about Roy Schoeman is the way he expands on the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah and how Jesus fulfilled them.

His take on Jesus telling the Jews that they would accept one who comes in his own name is one I hadn't heard before and I don't find it convincing. He thinks (and he made it clear that it's his personal opinion) that Jesus was talking about the Jews choosing to save the murderer Barabbas rather than Jesus. He bases that on Barabbas' name: In Hebrew, Bar means son of and Abba means father. For example, Simon bar Jonah means Simon son of Jonah. Roy believes, therefore, that Barabbas came in his own name since Abba isn't an actual name. Maybe it's my own ignorance of all things Hebrew and Jewish, but I would interpret that to mean that Barabbas either had no real name or that his given name was omitted from the Bible. I find it hard to believe that the divinely inspired authors of Scripture would omit a name which fulfilled a prophecy from Jesus. I also think that someone in the Church would have picked up on it before Roy Schoeman converted, not least the first Christians who were Jewish.

He gave a series of talks at what seems to have been a retreat during the Holy Week triduum. It was during one of those talks that he spoke about Barabbas. I didn't watch all the video but I'm looking forward to watching that series of videos maybe over Christmas when I have more time.

Nice discussion going along. I want to mention another sign, Luk 17:[28] "Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built. [29] And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. [30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed." Here, the Lord says the times of the end will be like those of Lot, and we all know about Sodom and Gomorrah being destroyed in fire for homosexual behavior. Well, when since the time this was written, up until the last 20 years or so, has homosexuality been so widely practiced and promoted? When have those bent on committing or defending it been less careful about incurring divine Judgment by doing so? So I think that that widespread acceptance of homosexuality, as "in the days of Lot" and "in the day that Lot went out of Sodom" is another "sign of the end" times in which we live. As Lot left, God's People too, after the 6 odd weeks, will likely have to leave.

Anyway, as I understand it, there are three views here:

    1. One is that the Period of Peace is already passed.
    2. The other is that Anti-Christ minor comes soon.
    3. The third is that the Period of Peace will come first.

Ok. So as I understand it, the sequence then would be: Warning==>Conditional AntiChrist==>Period of Peace?

In that same message, the part about the Mark of the Beast is quoted from the Apocalypse, and explained like this: "My son, I want to further explain to you what the mark of the beast truly means.

Apocalypse 13:16-17 states: And he shall make all, both the little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand or on their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Now read Apocalypse 14:9-11: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man shall adore the beast and his image and receive his character in his forehead or in his hand, He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mingled with pure wine in the cup of his wrath: and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torments shall ascend up forever and ever: neither have they rest day nor night, who have adored the beast and his image and whoever receiveth the character of his name.

My son, who are the souls who will take this mark? They are lukewarm Catholics, apostate Protestants, and the followers of the antichrist. I will now explain this further for you. My words clearly states those who take the mark of the beast will be tormented forever with fire and brimstone. This means it is a final act of rebellion against my mercy.

What would cause a person to rebel against my mercy with the knowledge of eternal damnation upon receiving the mark? It will be a rejection of my mercy through my warning. The warning shall take place before the mark of the beast is forced on mankind. Otherwise many innocent souls would take this mark not understanding what it truly means."

So why is the Mark of the Beast connected to the Warning and repentance after it, if all this will take place in a different context?

It could indeed be conditional. But the difficulty is that it seems foretold in Scripture, as Mario, Mark and others said, that the anti-Christ and false prophet will already be in hell when the period of peace begins. And for those who say the Angel rising up to bind Satan in hell is not referring to the period of peace (even if 1000 years does not refer to a literal 1000 years, but only to a period of time), when Fr. Holzhauser says, "the divine power will bind Satan for many years", Father seems to be referring to Apoc 20:2 "bound him for a thousand years." only the "1000 years" is changed to a non-literal "many years".

Also, that same message you quoted ends with: "Many teach the physical nation of Israel is the fulfillment of my scripture. Many teach the antichrist will resume the Jewish sacrifice in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem to constitute the abomination of desolation. This is a false teaching, not from God, but from human understanding ... The temple of God is my Holy Roman Catholic Church. My faithful remnant will be persecuted worldwide with the mass taking place underground. These conditions will be similar to the early persecutions by the Romans. The Roman persecutions were a foreshadowing of the persecution and time of the antichrist. Remember all this will be allowed and take place according to the will of my Father in heaven. Scripture must and will be fulfilled." So, if Scripture must and will be fulfilled, how can it all be conditional? Maybe the chastisement can be limited by prayer and repentance, and I do hope so, but I'm not sure.

    God bless.

Xavier "In the end, My Immaculate Heart will Triumph."

Right, Carol. It could be that. In your link, the phrase son of perdition appears twice in Ven. Father Holshauser's writing, "Peace will reign in all the universe, because the divine power will bind Satan for many years, until the son of perdition will rave anew ... “He [the Great Monarch, with the Holy Pope] will root out false doctrines and destroy the rule of Islam. His dominion will extend from the East to the West. All nations will adore God their Lord according to the Catholic teaching. There will be many wise and just men. The people will love justice, and peace will reign over the whole earth, for divine power will bind Satan for many years until the coming of the Son of Perdition."

To be clear, I do firmly believe there will be a Great Monarch, the Holy Pope and the Promised Period of Peace, just as you do, but the above indeed seems to indicate a lesser antichrist before the final AntiChrist.

Right. The conversion of the Jewish People to Jesus Christ is another consideration. The Church Fathers indeed interpret that passage in Jn 5:43 as referring to the original acceptance of antichrist by the Jewish people. So, it seems the false prophet and antichrist must come first, and many of the Jewish people do believe they are the precursor and the messiah at first; and then later on, they turn away from antichrist, and come to Christ, and this inaugarates the blessings that St. Paul says shall come on the whole world, when Israel is converted to Jesus Christ: "Rom 11: [11] I say then, have they so stumbled, that they should fall? God forbid. But by their offence, salvation is come to the Gentiles, that they may be emulous of them. [12] Now if the offence of them be the riches of the world, and the diminution of them, the riches of the Gentiles; how much more the fulness of them? ... [15] For if the loss of them be the reconciliation of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?"

Then the Sixth Age, the Period of Peace, will come; because Fr. Holzhauser is clear that, by the time of the Sixth Age, Israel has already converted to Christ: “For likewise, in this epoch, the people of Israel will be consoled to a very high degree by the Lord, our God ... the very powerful and very illustrious monarch who will govern during fifty-six years ... Thus, in the Sixth Age, God will delight his Church with the greatest prosperity."

Here's an article on that: "Though it is not a defined dogma, the future conversion of the Jewish nation to the Faith is a common teaching of the Fathers and Doctors, inferred directly from Holy Scripture ...

The Prophet Osee says this: “The children of Israel shall sit many days without king and without prince and without sacrifice, and without altar, and without ephod and without theraphim. And after this the children of Israel shall return, and shall seek the Lord their God and David their king: and they shall fear the Lord, and His goodness in the last days” (Osee 3:4-5). There are two parts to this prophesy. The first is that the Jews will be without king, prince, sacrifice, altar, ephod, and theraphim. This is a reference to the loss of civil kingship and sacrificing priesthood among the Jews. Regarding this part of the prophecy, Saint Augustine comments, “Who is there who does not see in this a portrait of the present state of the Jewish people?” The second part of the prophecy involves the return of the Jews, about which, Saint Augustine says this: “Nothing can be clearer than this prophecy, in which David stands for Jesus Christ, says the Apostle, is born of the line of David, according to the flesh” ...

Saint Paul reminds the Romans that there were Jews who were faithful and accepted Christ. He also reminds them not to be complacent but to take a lesson from the rejection of the Jews, that if God would not spare the chosen people from His wrath, neither will he spare the Gentiles, should they fall into sin. He says, “For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, of this mystery (lest you should be wise in your own conceits) that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles should come in” (Rom. 11:25) This has always been interpreted by Catholics to mean that there will be a general conversion of the Jewish nation.

An impressive list of Fathers can be brought out who refer to this future conversion as a fact. Included are Tertullian, Origen, Saint Hilary, Saint Ambrose, Saint John Chrysostom, Saint Jerome, Saint Cyril of Alexandria, Saint Prosper of Aquitaine, Saint Gregory the Great, Saint Isidore, Saint Bede the Venerable, and Saint Anselm. Saint Cyril of Alexandria says this: “Towards the end of time, Our Lord Jesus Christ will effect the reconciliation of His former persecutor Israel with Himself. Everybody who knows Holy Scripture is aware that, in the course of time, this people will return to the love of Christ by the submission of faith…. Yes, one day, after the conversion of the Gentiles, Israel will be converted, and the Jews will be astonished at the treasure they will find in Christ” (Commentary on Genesis, Bk. 5)." https://catholicism.org/ad-rem-no-310.html

I go through binges of watching Sensus Fidelium videos. Actually I start watching one, do other things while listening and when that video finishes youtube automatically plays the next video on their recommended list. I did that yesterday and one of the videos was a November 2017 homily by a priest who sounded like Fr. Wolfe, the priest who gave the homily in the videos posted by Carol. In the videos Carol posted, Fr. Wolfe based his homily on the writings of St. Robert Bellarmine.

The priest in the November 2017 video (I'm not certain that it was Fr. Wolfe) talked about Antiochus, the ruler at the time of the Maccabees in the Old Testament being a type or prefigurement of the anti-Christ. When talking about what we can expect, he relied a lot on the writings of Cornelius a Lapide, a Jesuit scholar from the 16th century who believed that the AC would reign in Jerusalem. Fr. quoted Scripture (Luke 21) where Jesus said that Jerusalem would be trodden down by the Gentiles until the time of the nations be fulfilled. Cornelius a Lapide, referring to that passage as well as Daniel Chapter 9, said that Jerusalem shall no longer be the capital city of the Jews but shall belong to the Gentiles, then the Christians and after that to the Saracens and the Turks (Muslims). He expected that to continue until the end of the world until the AC shall fix the seat of his empire in Jerusalem "as is plain from Apocalypse 11.8". Then Enoch and Elias will resist the AC and convert many Jews to Christ. "After AC is slain, all the Jews will be converted to Christ by the disciples of Enoch and Elias, and shall publicly worship Christ in Jerusalem as may be easily gathered from Apocalypse 20.8". I'll link to the video at the end of this post.

Yes, the world is getting worse. The priest in the the video lists some examples in 2017, including what happened in Assisi. We've moved on apace since then.
I hope you're right about the illumination of conscience and pray that I won't be among those who die of shock when I see the state of my soul. I'm inclined to believe that any correction won't happen until 2029 or 2021 which I think are the 100th anniversaries of Our Lady of Fatima's request for the consecration of Russia and Our Lord's reminder to Sr. Lucia about what happened the King of France. At the rate we're going, both the Church and the world will have replicated the times of the Maccabees.

(Had to delete your text to fit the post into permitted space)
I don't believe that Our Lady appeared at Garabandal although I do think that Conchita genuinely believes that the apparition was the Blessed Mother.

I have serious doubts about La Salette. There are questions about Melanie's story about the apparition. I read that she came under the influence of Protestants after she had been badly treated in the convent, which probably explains her claim that Our Lady told her that Rome would be the seat of the AC. I believe that Jerusalem will be the seat of the AC.
I believe that the elect are the Bishops of the Church. The priest in the video refers to Our Lord saying that the sun shall be darkened and St. Augustine having given this spiritual interpretation: "The sun, that is to say the Church, shall be darkened because in those tremendous temptations and tribulations which shall be in the end of the world, many who had seemed as bright and as firm as the sun and stars shall fall from the faith". I'm pretty sure that it has been more or less accepted that one third of the stars falling from the sky means one-third of the Bishops losing the faith. There will also be physical signs like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and chaotic planetary movements.

Yes, we are the people of the risen and triumphant Lord, and the reason for the hope in us is His promise that we will spend eternity with him.

God bless you too, Josephite. You're always around the top of the list of my prayer intentions.

It was for lack of Faith that the Jewish Leadership failed to recognize Jesus as the Promised Messiah - even in His first coming. In spite of their study and position they were not obedient to Moses. His teachings and miracles revealed Jesus as Messiah to the common folk who witnessed the rebukings by Jesus of the Leadership.. The Sanhedrin vehemently rejected Him and sentenced Jesus to death.

    2 Thessalonians 2

"Let no one deceive you in any way. For unless the Apostasy comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one doomed to perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god and object of worship, so as to seat himself in the temple of God, claiming that he is a god— "

We have been witnessing an increase of Apostasy.

APOSTASY is a complete abandonment of the Christian religion
and not merely a denial of some article of the creed.

The AntiChrist will seat himself in a temple.

However, not in the Temple of God's Holy Spirit.
