From what I read, the reference to the Book Of Jonas was seemingly not made by Sister Agnes herself, it seems that it was just noted by others that it was in the Mass readings on the 8th October 2019? (Im not 100% sure about this.) I think it would be good to also study the different instances of Sackcloth and Ashes that are found in scripture.e.g. in the book of Esther. I see that the act of Idolatory in the Vatican gardens took place on Friday 4th October and following that, Sister Agnes heard from the Angel at 3.30 am on Sunday 6th October, the same day that the Idols were paraded in to St Peters Basilica for the opening Mass of the Synod.

The referred to passage paints a truly Catholic understanding of repentance: Jonah 3:6 And the word came to the king of Ninive; and he rose up out of his throne, and cast away his robe from him, and was clothed with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published in Ninive from the mouth of the king and of his princes, saying: Let neither men nor beasts, oxen nor sheep, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water. 8 And let men and beasts be covered with sackcloth, and cry to the Lord with all their strength, and let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the iniquity that is in their hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn, and forgive: and will turn away from his fierce anger, and we shall not perish? 10 And God saw their works, that they were turned from their evil way: and God had mercy with regard to the evil which he had said that he would do to them, and he did it not. We see from this passage that it is not only sorrow for sin and the confession thereof that brings mercy, but also concrete actions that demonstrate a heartfelt response. So I would like to stress the need to act and pray the Rosary of penance. If you start with a decade and build from there, I believe that is OK. But remember: God saw their works. Timothy, We each pray different types of Rosaries. Sometimes we pray them in honor of Our Lady. Often we attempt to focus on the individual meditation or mystery of each decade; Our Lady of Fatima asks us to do this especially on First Saturdays. At times, I dedicate a decade to the needs of a particular person or family. It seems Our Lady of Akita might now be asking us to pray Rosaries to make reparation or to do penance for the sins of the world. This is how I understand it. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
I'm a bit confused by this. I tend to list all my intentions before the Rosary. I pray an extra decade (3rd Glorious Mystery) for my adopted priest but I would be praying Rosaries all day if I were to dedicate a decade to each intention. Are we to pray an extra Rosary of reparation?
It seems that our Lady is prioritizing her concerns for today's situation of sin and disbelief everywhere now. She asks us to pray for the conversion of the whole world now in various messages or for all unbelievers. She emphasizes that we must hurry up and repent as there is not much more time left for doing so. I think then that this request for rosaries of reparation speak to these generalized requests for the whole world in need in order to mitigate the coming justice for all. After all.....the theme of "reparation reparation reparation" has been required for a long time. Looks like that call still hasn't been complied with and now the time is near.
The penitential rosary is said like a regular rosary except on your knees with your arms outstretched like our Lord's on the cross. Also on all the Hail Mary beads, an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be are said. Then "Hail Mary most pure conceived without sin" is said. My mother said this rosary during lent while I was growing up. I tried to do one with her. It was agony. I haven't tried as an adult. I'm kind of afraid to try. I think maybe I will try on Fridays only.

(i.e say a Rosary for repentance / penance) so I think I will just offer as an intention for the reparation of sins of our church, my country and the world{i.e. angel of Fatima prayer which I do offer in my morning offering and in my rosaries any way. And don't forget the Chaplet of Divine Mercy which is a repentant rosary prayer every day too.

Dolours, I believe there are a number of ways to approach intentions included with our Rosaries. For example, when praying a Rosary at the end of Holy Mass, after finishing up the fifth decade, my pastor adds a Hail Holy Queen, a Pour Forth We Beseech Thee, a Memorare, prayers for the Pope, prayers for the poor souls in purgatory, etc... My list isn't quite that long. Everyone has been taught with different variations. I'm sure they all bring a smile to Our Lady's face. All those extra prayers were traditionally called "the trimmings" in Ireland. The trimmings were often longer than the Rosary. It's customary here to finish with the prayer May the Divine Assistance remain always with us and may the souls of the faithful departed, etc., and we say Pour forth we beseech Thee at the end of the Angelus. For the Pope, I offer the Our Father and Glory Be to the Father either side of the three Hail Mary's for faith, hope and charity. I came up with my own solution today. A while I go I decided to aim for praying a daily 15 decade Rosary but with no more success than all my other good intentions. From today onwards, I will be praying at least ten decades daily. Five decades will be dedicated solely to make reparation for offences against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for the Church. The other five decades will be for all my other intentions.
