Does this mean that the fire comes after the warning and subsequent miracle (which is to be a sign, I understand)?

Believe it or not (and I know this might be hard to believe) I have actually just finished reading an article in the, 'Catholic Herald' , (of all place the new Editor pushing the New Agenda) which is clearly extolling and , 'explaining' idol Worship as no bad thing (go figure). Why is Idol Worshiping no bad thing? Well in the old days the Catholic saints the author admits gave the idols a rough old go off it. For instance he quotes the life of one English Missionary saint who when told that a heard of cattle were Sacred promptly killed and ate them all for dinner. Nowadays in this modern , more insightful , sophisticated days we cans ee there are many paths to the same place and the fact that Pagans are different to us does not mean we should not appreciate and accompany them in their paths. So no more steak dinners. I feel like I have just entered the tenth Dimension. Toto, we're certainly not in Kansas anymore. I don't know quite where we are. My dogs do better Theology, Scripture and Church Teachings than these Cardinals, Bishops and Popes. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pope Francis dump his Pope Mobile for a broomstick (to save his Carbon Footprint) But it certainly ain't Kansas.

The description of the angel is strange: Notes from the messenger Note 1 The angel who appeared to Sr. Agnes in Akita was like a woman, and Sr. Agnes called spontaneously “My sister”. Because the angel was similar to her older sister who passed away already.
Yes, this is what happened in 1973, in Akita. The Angel who appeared, back then, to Sister Agnes,resembled Sister Agnes's deceased sister and she thought, at first, that her sister was come back from the dead to speak with her. But the Angel corrected her. However, this time, apparently the Angel has visited her in the place she now lives, which is not Akita, but Kumamoto, Japan. However, Sister Agnes says it is the same Angel as the one who visited her in 1973 in Akita, i.e the one that resembles her deceased sister. I hope that makes sense. This Angel has possibly visited her more times than we know of, as Sister says the last time she was visited by this Angel was 30 years ago. So she has possibly had Angelic visitations subsequent to the main Akita happenings that were published at the time. (which happened in 1973 / 46 years ago).
Angels have no sex, so I don't know how they would appear. Perhaps as either sex or perhaps somewhat indistinguishable? I don't really know enough angel theology.
Yes, but if you go to the Book of Tobit, the Angel Raphael appears to Tobias as a young man. 4 "Tobias went out to look for a man who knew the way to go with him to Media. Outside he found Raphael the angel standing facing him, though he did not guess he was an angel of God. The angel replied, 'I am one of your brother Israelites; I have come to these parts to look for work.' Tobias asked, 'Do you know the road to Media? " Also the Angel of Peace appeared to the Children of Fatima as a resplendant young man. I think the appearance may be designed by God to instill confidence, Sister Agnes loved and missed her sister, so she was not so afraid when the Angel first appeared, resembling her sister.
Yes, but perhaps they can appear in any number of ways since they are not physical. When the Fatima children had the vision of Hell they saw the demons in the shape of animals. Granted these were fallen angels, but they were still angelic in nature. So I don't know. My guess would be that an angel sent from Heaven would appear in whatever way God wished them to.
It doesn't contain many words, but that doesn't mean it is not important. In most approved apparitions Our Lady uses few words. The entire Third Secret contains about 25 lines. If this is truly from Heaven and we are being told to put on our sackcloth and ashes then the message is indeed dire. Perhaps one of the most important messages ever given to us. In fact, the brevity of it is quite frightening. Pray, repent, and prepare for what is soon to come...
Yeah that sounds right. There's a story of Don Bosco being protected by a large dog, which he called his angel, I think because he said he didn't know what else to call it. So of course God can send an angel in whatever form He wishes.
When I was taking my child to the doctor a couple of years ago, Moana, an animated film from Disney was playing in the Drs. office. Similar to the image that Padraig included in #22, the pagan goddess in this kid film also looked like that Their need to indoctrinate the children is frightening.
It is also wonderful to see that the pivotal point in her conversion (her family was Buddhist) was when someone gave her a book called "The Bells of Nagasaki." Such a beautiful book! So amazing how a simple gesture from a Catholic can end up with the Church being blessed with a Saint, like Sister Agnes.

There are no instances in Scripture of angels appearing as women. They all came as men. Nor in the lives of the saints or the wortings of the Fathers have I heard of one appearing as a woman, nor in the appearance of deceased.
It is sometimes debated whether Zechariah 5:9 refers to angels or not. Clearly, whatever the beings described are they are not humans. There is no scripture though that specifically notes female angels by name or in any other way. Also the name "angel" is a masculine term. However angels have no sex as a part of their nature. So who knows? And I lifted up my eyes and looked: and behold there came out two women, and wind was in their wings, and they had wings like the wings of a kite: and they lifted up the vessel between the earth and the heaven. -Zechariah 5:9
