Oh yes, HH, it’s truly one of the biggest blessings of our lives. Our Lord led us there and I’m so grateful to Him. I always tell people who have never attended the TLM that they should come and see what the closest thing to Heaven on earth is really like. You feel like you’ve never really been to Mass before! Our priests (4 of them!) are truly holy men and the friends we’ve made there are tremendous blessings to us, too. Our girls attend the homeschool co-op at our parish, as well, and they love it!

I don't think there are very many signs of complacency to be found on this website!

Thankfully, I don't have any disagreements with my spouse, in my own case. She is busy doing her various duties and is quite oblivious to all this. I think it is best kept that way, myself. Part of me wishes that I hadn't a clue what was going on either.

It's startling. We have communications systems that people couldn't have imagined a generation ago and so many seem utterly clueless about what's going on in the world. I suppose they're distracted by information overload.

Yes one thing about being a Catholic is that it makes real authentic individuals. It sets us apart.

People criticise Catholics for being clones. Or robots because of our obedience. I always found obedience sets me free. Obedience places me on the railway tracks on which I can travel at high speed.

When I see the culture around me I see a herd of sheep.

Being a Catholic makes me so very different; forces me to think; to be Counter Cultural. To stand apart.

Being pro life and anti sexual perversion are good examples.

Being a Catholic gives us wings to fly. To be free.

    DesertStar7,

I just wanted to say that Joan of Arc is my third favorite female saint after Mary and St. Therese. If you ever get a chance, read Joan of Arc by none other than Mark Twain. He spent 12 years researching and writing this biography and he considered it his best work. It is excellent, inspiring, and enjoyable.

St. Joan of Arc, pray for us!

Yes, it is exactly Heaven on earth.:)
I am blessed to have access to the TLM but not at our parish. I get to a TLM as often as I can and I’m praying that we will have it at least occasionally at our parish.
Glad you are able to be FSSP .

LOL You sound just like the thinking going on in my own head. I will turn one of these issues around and around in my mind until I come up with a proper sounding "answer" on how to treat one of these dilemmas, for example sink into the silence of prayer.

Then I think...on the other hand I must get out and bang on a drum.:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

The thing I always think about when discerning my perception of the character of someone is asking myself "Would I trust them to babysit my children?" (if I had any).

I know I would trust Pope Benedict XVI and Pope St. John Paul II hands down. I know they weren't perfect, but their intentions were good.

Texas Mama, in what part of Te xas are you? Where is this wonderful Church? I am always searching for alternatives to Florida for our winter getaway. Maybe this is it.:)

About 6 months ago Pope Francis encouraged all parishes to reinstate the St. Michael prayer at the end of mass and our pastor did so. I have to say that sometimes he ( the pope) reminds me of Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde.
