It's hard to imagine how any soul could wish to go to hell. The Little Girl Satanist Next Door By Edwin Benson The Satanist Next Door In a parents’ mind there are few horrors that come close to the sense that their child could be senselessly and seriously harmed. That is the reason that the attempted stabbings of middle school students in Polk County, Florida is so compelling. A Violent Eruption of Evil The would-be assailants were female students at Bartow Middle School on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Their names have not been released because of their ages, one was eleven years old and the other was twelve. In the early afternoon, another student told school administrators that the two girls were hiding in the restroom armed with knives. When officers entered the restroom, they found the two girls armed with several knives, a pizza cutter, and a knife sharpener. Violence in a school is always a matter of great concern. What makes this story especially troubling is the motive of the two girls. They claimed to be Satanists. They admitted their plan to the police. According to a report in USA Today, an affidavit said that, “The plan was to kill at least 1 student but were hoping to kill anywhere from 15-25 students. … Killing all of these students was in hopes it would make them worse sinners ensuring that after they committed suicide … (they) would go to hell so they could be with Satan (sic).” According to the article, the girls devised their plan after watching scary movies the previous weekend. Messages on their cellular telephones were scrutinized by detectives, including one that read, “We will leave body parts at the entrance and then we will kill ourselves.” The Desire for the Satanic Satanism is rapidly attracting adherents, a situation that is showing no signs of stopping. The attractions of Satanism are difficult to understand. Eugenio Fizzotti, a professor of the Psychology of Religion at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome, describes four reasons that people are inclined toward these beliefs. In brief, they are: A self-destructive need to feel weak and impotent which creates the desire accept the orders of an “unquestioned leader.” A profound sense of guilt that leads them to believe that they deserve punishment. A rejection of the society, family, law, and culture as tyrannical. An orientation toward the dead and to dead objects. To sum it up, Satanists reject the idea of a loving and protective God, and embrace the power of one who, they believe, will both protect them and harm those that they see as their enemies. Modern materialist culture contributes to this sad and evil state of mind. Its emphasis on sensuality tells people that they are powerless to control their own biological inclinations. A material world teaches those who have comparatively little that they are worthless. The glorification of evil in the various entertainment media attracts those who see themselves as powerless and worthless. This brutal cycle of emotions leads one on a never-ending downward spiral into despair. Satan? What Satan? Conversely, there is a sense among many that Satanism is disturbing, but harmless. “They must be crazy,” is a common reaction. Indeed, when the local officials held a press conference, the assembled journalists repeatedly raised the question of the two girls’ mental health. Many have been lulled into the idea that Satan does not really exist. If he does exist, some say, he is harmless. Some years ago a popular t-shirt said “God will not let me into Heaven, and Satan is afraid I’ll take over.” Anyone willing to have that message emblazoned on his chest has little sense – and no fear – of the reality of Satan. The Resurging Belief in the Power of Exorcism Many in the Catholic Church are very concerned. The rite of exorcism is on an upswing. An ultra-liberal magazine, The New Republic, published an article in 2015 entitled, Why Are Exorcisms as Popular as Ever? It related that nineteenth century Catholics, especially in Northern Europe and the US, came to see exorcism as an embarrassing relic of the past. However, that situation is very much changed in the modern world. In the Baylor Religion Survey, 53 percent of Catholics said they either agree or strongly agree in the possibility of demonic possession. Twenty-six percent disagreed or strongly disagreed, and the rest were undecided. …[In] countries like Italy and the Philippines, there is active demand for more Catholic exorcists.
Maybe as the devil grows in power, the power of magic grows and so it attracts more people. I was watching the testimony of a Former Satanic High Priest Lest night who was converted by Our Lady in Miraculous Fashion. It is very, very moving indeed. Just a huge , huge work of Grace.
It seems to be that no Satanist can actually really understand the full horror and total stupidity of what they are doing. Otherwise they would not do it. Selling your soul to Satan is the Spiritual Equal of swallowing a fistful of flesh eating maggots. Pure madness.
The eternal now or moment. We can never fully understand, that is why we should never stop praying for anyone (past, present or future). If I remember correctly, even Padre Pio prayed for someone to change their actions, even if it already has happened. When asked, padre Pio stated God can do anything. Praying for the dead, even the most evil, is a virtuous act. God will not be mad at you. And for someone to tell you to stop praying for someone is not from God. Pray, Pray, Pray He’ll has many souls...it is a personal decision in not following God. Yes, it is a place, it is the complete void of God, that is hell. Each person decides. Brother Al
1. When we say that a soul in hell we are saying that it is in a Sate of Eternal Damnation. In other words we are stating that it is in a place out of which it can never be released. If we claim that by praying for a soul that can never be released we can have it somehow released from hell is a a logical impossibility . If by our prayers we can have a soul released from hell, then it was never in hell in the first place. 2. Do we know from Scripture any souls that are in hell? Yes we do. Numbers 26:10 The Tribe of Reuben …9and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. It was Dathan and Abiram, chosen by the congregation, who fought against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah who rebelled against the LORD. 10And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire consumed 250 men. They serve as a warning sign. 11However, the line of Korah did not die out.… 3. Do we know of saints/ Mystics who be special revelation of God have been shown souls in hell. Yes Indeed there are very numerous examples. What then is the logic of praying for souls who are Eternally Damned? Either they are Eternally damned or they are not? God can do anything. But He can't overthrow Himself. Either Hell is Eternal or it is not. God cannot say Damnation is Eternal but it is not Eternal at the same time. That would make Him a liar. No more than He can say He loves us, but He really doesn't. When God tells us that Hell is Eternal He is not making it up. There is no back door. When He says, 'Depart from me you wicked to Eternal Fire' , He means just that. Eternal Fire. No back Door. No getting out of there. For ever and ever and ever and ever....that's what Eternal Means. ..also if a child asks it's Father for Bread and the Father turns round and tell he child there is no Bread in the House why should this surprise us? Would it better to let the child the child keep on asking vainly for something it is never, ever going to get? Sometimes God says , 'Yes', sometimes He says, 'No'.
When I hear of a person who has died, I pray for them, usually making the Divine Mercy offering for their soul at the time of their death. Whether it will open their hearts to accept God and His mercy at death is between God and that person. If they refuse God's merciful love and choose hell at that time,it is between God and that person. If that person chooses hell, that that is that. padraig you are right, if they have chosen hell, nothing can be done for them.
So disturbing. Back in the 'dark ages' of my high school years there was a lot of curiosity about Satanism, Witch Craft, Tarot cards, and Ouija boards that was fueled by the film, The Exorcist. Unfortunately I don't recall anyone at Catholic school/church or home, telling us to steer clear of this stuff. At the time everyone thought it was harmless, or just a passing trend. I have vivid memories of reading a Life magazine article glorifying Satanist, Anton LaVey. Looking back, it's hard to believe that everyone in my circle of Catholic friends owned Tarot cards, and Ouija boards, and no one thought anything of it; all fun and games. Young people are very attracted to the mysterious, and so easily influenced. Without proper guidance they can be lost to the dark side.
