The "Novus Ordo Paradigm" — What It Is and Why It Matters

I don’t agree with that at all. The Mass is valid.
And I would say that only God knows about His chastisement of this generation. He might not agree with the assessment of humans.
I also don’t agree with your label of cavalier attitude, which I think you hold, as well, right now.

That’s a straw man argument. NO ONE in this thread has claimed it’s not valid.

I attend the Novus Ordo every day. I would not do so if I believed it was not valid.

Well, good. We agree. You are being fed at the Novus Ordo.
It’s not a straw man argument at all.
The original post referred to Novusordoism which is pretty crass, imho. I’m defending the
Mass. Jesus is there. Why wouldn’t I?
I have no words for those people who rant on and on about things that they have no power on earth to change.
A good many of the posts and videos on this forum fall into that category. Does this really bring the peace that passes all understanding?
This post is probably going to draw another barrage of criticism.
    Something from which malice springs?

Honestly it’s your posts in this thread in which those of us who love the TLM sense malice.

You obviously haven’t fully read or considered the points of the essay in the original post.

It’s no wonder folks get frustrated with your posts on this particular subject.

I feel the same way about yours and Sg’s,
Brian. I have read all of this stuff until it’s up to the back teeth, didn’t you get that? I know what happened in Church history. I get it. It’s done. We are at this point in Church history. God has deigned to bring us this far and if we stay in a state of grace by availing ourselves of
the Mass and Confession frequently, and keep the Commandments, well, Jesus, I trust in you. I feel humbly blessed that I live in a place where I can still go to Mass in public. I don’t sense gratitude at all in some of the posts and videos. They are strident and overly critical. Remember, there are some things that are beyond our control. I guess I just accept that Heaven is aware of it all and will send help at the appointed time. I have the right to respond without people inferring that I have malice. For the longest time people have gotten frustrated with my posts on this subject because I don’t agree with them and I stick my foot in the rad-trad jump rope.:)
No one is saying that you can’t love the TLM, by the way.

First answer the following question, and it becomes clear.
Why do you resist the TLM so?

The 'help' that you are waiting for heaven to send is already staring us in the face - more people are awakening to the undeniable fact that the TLM is the mass that is pleasing to God. The truth about the devious manner in which the Novus Ordo mass was pushed onto the faithful has been exposed and is becoming more widely known.

Again, think about what is happening with the Amazon synod. If for example, one of the outcomes is that women are 'ordained' as deacons, would you just accept it and say that it was a valid synod, and therefore it is acceptable to God?

I am not concerned only for my own well-being.
This concerns the spiritual well-being of all Catholics.
Also, we don't have regular daily TLM available in Singapore.

Jesus drew me despite the Novus Ordo Mass.

No. They salvaged the Mass. They literally saved its validity.

Yes it is deficient but said properly it is valid.

There is no 'rad trad jump rope' on this forum.

I was referring to the flurry of posts about the TLM over the years, and my attempts to answer them. I didn’t expect anyone to understand.
The thing is , people think that I don’t like the
    TLM. It’s not that.
Maybe you have never tried to jump rope with a rad trad. See? That’s the kind of attitude I’m talking about. Stone cold put downs. And I just got one from you which I didn’t expect.

This is a highly charged issue with no easy answers. I am grateful to have good and reverent priests close by saying the NO and hearing confessions. One young priest here offers to hear confessions after every Mass! I am simply unable to attend TLM so I am especially grateful to have what I have. There are many small parishes across our state that no longer have any Mass!! I just think we all know that things are a mess and that a lot of shepherds dropped the ball during the council and often ever since. But Jesus did not leave us orphans. The Ottaviani intervention literally saved the Mass from Bugnini. But this is a chastisement and we lost our beautiful ancient Mass because priests and people failed to pray and do penance. We were warned at LaSalette and Fatima and again at Tre Fontaine. The rot was deeply embedded when the council came along. As you say HH God is sorting this out. All we can do IMHO is strive for holiness and keep God's commandments in season and out of season. Sadly our worst obstructions often come from our own families because so many Catholics are content to drift into "I'm OK. You're OK." Baldly speaking we are in a terrifying time. Utterly terrifying. Temptations against faith are everywhere. No question a winnowing is going on. I have no confidence in my ability to withstand it. I am absolutely counting on the Blessed Mother.

    AED,
Yes! That is exactly my point. Thank you!
Because priests and people failed to do penance....

I find your use of the phrase 'rad trad' to be an insulting phrase.

Maybe you are throwing it around casually without understanding that it is insulting?

I have legitimate concerns about the New Mass as many on this forum do but that does not make us rad trads.

By the way my response was not a put down as you say. I merely pointed out that there are no radical traditionalists on this forum (i.e. sedevacantists).

We said this one other time on a similar thread , that since the 1940’s the changes began brewing in society
Birth control being accepted by Catholic priests and laity was a huge factor
And let us not forget, Pope Paul VI, like him or not, put his foot down with
    Humanae Vitae
Societal reasons, too , for empty pews

In the original post, Steve S referred to himself as a trad.
Sometimes people on this forum have referred to themselves as formerly being rad trad. It was not intended as an insult and I am sorry you took it that way. I heard the term first on this forum from someone who described himself.

No bother HH but rad trad is usually defined as someone who rejects Vatican II outright and the New Mass.

But I am open to correction!
