Today exactly marks the one-year anniversary of the revelations about Theodore McCarrick being a serial homopredator, and on this one-year anniversary, we are bringing you this exclusive investigative report.

Church Militant has been handed documents from personnel in the archdiocese of Chicago who are fed up with the lies and cover-ups.

The papers were kept in the secret vault in the Chicago archdiocese and detail allegations of sexual abuse of a minor by former Cardinal Joseph Bernardin.

Church Militant has also learned that Cardinal Blase Cupich is now under scrutiny by state and federal law enforcement agencies for failing to report.

These documents obtained by Church Militant are just a small sampling of various letters, correspondence, court records and emails we have been given revealing what has been rumored for decades — that Joseph Bernardin was a sexual abuser of both minors as well as adult males.

These specific papers are from 1993–1995 and provide explicit details of accusations against Bernardin stemming from a 1957 sexual assault, including rape of a minor, while he was a priest in Charleston, South Carolina, five years after his ordination.
The documents reveal that the archdiocese of Chicago, the U.S. papal nuncio, the Vatican Secretariat of State and even the papal household all knew of the allegations and yet failed to act on them.

According to the documentation, the sexual assault happened on the property of St. Mary's parish in Greenville, South Carolina and involved both then-Fr. Bernardin and Bishop John J. Russell and was part of a satanic ritual involving desecration of the Holy Eucharist.

The victim eventually contacted the archdiocese in April of 1993, first by phone and later in writing, to report the rape by Bernardin.

As can be seen in this document, the victim had ongoing communication with archdiocese of Chicago Professional Fitness Review Administrator Steve Sidlowski.

The victim even signed and sent a registered letter written directly to Bernardin making the serious accusations and asking him to go public and repent.

A copy of the registered mail receipt, along with the original letter, was also provided to Church Militant. The receipt is signed for by Cardinal Bernardin's office and dated April 8, 1993.

According to the cache of secret documents provided to Church Militant, the victim even twice wrote directly to Pope John Paul II, a fact acknowledged in a letter from Monsignor Leonardo Sandri from the Vatican Secretariat of State to the victim dated Sept. 4, 1993.

It is not known if the letters were ever actually presented to the Pope, but the official letter acknowledging receipt is part of the record.

Having received what could be best described as the professional runaround from Chicago for close to two years, and no substantial response from the Holy See, the victim actually traveled to Rome in 1995 and appeared in person at the Vatican Congregation for Bishops after having written them twice and received no satisfactory response.

As can be seen in this April 3, 1995 letter to the victim from then-U.S. Papal Nuncio Archbishop Agostino Cacciavillan, the correspondence with the charges against Bernardin was even assigned a case number by the nunciature — N. 17. 598.

Like when the victim reported to Chicago and Rome, nothing was ever officially pursued by the nuncio.

Officials from the time that Church Militant spoke with say the charges were viewed as not credible, but no records or notes of any investigation appear to exist. Nothing in the file indicates that any formal investigation was ever begun.

Additionally, the existence of any formal investigation seems extremely unlikely because, as the victim points out to Sidlowski in this 1993 letter, members of any investigative board "are not competent or permitted to" investigate such charges against a cardinal.

Church law restricts the convening of such investigations solely to the pope, and no record anywhere exists suggesting any such investigation was ever convened by Pope John Paul.

What the archdiocese of Chicago tried to do was to trick the victim into revealing all relevant facts so they could discover exactly what the victim knew and then provide the information to Bernardin — an accusation leveled by the victim in the same letter.

All of this documentation was in the secret files of the archdiocese and yet was not reported to then-Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan despite Cupich's claim that the archdiocese was fully cooperating with the state investigation.

In December of last year, Madigan's office stunned the investigative world by reporting that bishops in Illinois — including Cupich — had deliberately failed to hand over the files and names of more than 500 accused priests.

Officials are now looking into charges directly related to Cupich's tenure in Chicago involving financial misappropriation and corruption.
The excuse from Cupich and brother bishops was that names were withheld because the allegations had not been investigated.

Madigan charged the bishops with duplicity:

By choosing not to thoroughly investigate allegations, the Catholic Church has failed in its moral obligation to provide survivors, parishioners and the public a complete and accurate accounting of all sexually inappropriate behavior involving priests in Illinois.

The failure to investigate also means that the Catholic Church has never made an effort to determine whether the conduct of the accused priests was ignored or covered up.

The dilemma now facing Cardinal Blase Cupich is clear: Either produce these documents of which Church Militant was given copies or be charged with destruction of evidence because the documents did, at least at one time, exist.

Additionally, last month, Church Militant sent a media inquiry directly to Cardinal Cupich and multiple staffers asking for a response to what we knew. We received no response.

Law enforcement officials now tell Church Militant that what certainly appears to be a cover-up by Cupich and the archdiocese to protect America's most prominent homosexualist cardinal is only the tip of the iceberg.

In addition to abuse of minors, failure to internally investigate and covering up Bernardin's deeds, officials are now looking into charges directly related to Cupich's tenure in Chicago involving financial misappropriation and corruption.

And while those possible criminal actions are being pursued, as we said at the top of the report, Church Militant has come into possession of much more damning information about Cardinal Joseph Bernardin and accusations against him involving sexual crimes.

On this one-year anniversary, to the day, of the McCarrick revelations, what is now coming into sharp focus is that the Church in America as now constituted was engineered and designed and brought into existence by not one, but two homosexual predators who advanced the careers of multiple bishops who are are still currently serving in senior posts.

Cardinal Cupich reminds me of a story I read one time about Presiedent Lincoln. After he was in the White House the poor man was tortured by people wanting to hand out jobs. One Senator asked him to find a job for a nephew. Lincold reluctantly agree to see him. Later on the Senator returned very angry and asked why Abraham Lincoln had not given him the job. TO which Linclon replied,

'Every man over the age of thirty has his soul and history written on his face and I did not like or trust what I saw there'.

Well when I see Cardinal Cupich's face I want to run and hide. I see all kind of horrors written there.

Cupich: pastor incited hatred against church hierarchy

Father Paul Kalchik is presently "in hiding" after being ousted from his Chicago parish by Cardinal Blase Cupich, but he's still able to make his voice heard via Church Militant.

That hasn't sat well with Cupich, who doesn't need much of a reason to persecute faithful priests who are even remotely outspoken in the Archdiocese of Chicago.

(Lest we forget, Father C. Frank Phillips is another casualty of Cupich's devilish leadership, exiled from Illinois, while left-wing activist Father Michael Pfleger continues to flourish. Yeah, Cupich was a little ticked at Pfleger for inviting Louis Farrakhan to speak at St. Sabina. Farrakhan's presence and speech at the supposedly Catholic parish received some bad local press and was embarrassing to the archdiocese. But, hey, it's all good now.)

Proceedings have reportedly begun in Rome with Kalchik's canonical case against Cupich presented to the Congregation for Clerics. According to a very reliable source, Cupich presented 123 pages of documentation to support his ousting of Kalchik. One document Cupich included in the packet was Kalchik's commentary "What Happened to Shame," published by Church Militant on Sept. 4, 2018. Cupich asserts that Kalchik incited hatred against the hierarchy in his commentary.

Kalchik wrote (excerpted):

  In psychological terms, these individuals [complicit priests, bishops, cardinals] are psychopaths and should not be in any position of governance whatsoever, neither in civil society nor the Church. However, we are cursed with these men in leadership positions today and, unlike Judas, they cling to what little power they have left and surround themselves with sycophants, like offal gathers flies. How do we end this immediately? By voting with our feet.
  
  If, God forbid, a character like [Cardinal Donald] Wuerl shows up to say Mass at your church, walk out. And take a cue from the holy men and women who shouted 'shame on you' this past Sunday and call the charlatan to task for his actions! And take for your inspiration in your holy disobedience the Old Testament Prophet Daniel, who never sucked up to attain human adulation or political acclaim; he said and did what was right, regardless of how politically correct it was or was not.
  
  So let's, as the Body of Christ, get moving; let's totally boycott the Wuerls and the Cupichs of the Church and their like! There are many good priests and good parishes around our country and around the world to go to receive the sacraments; there is no need to fulfill your Sunday obligation by going to a Mass with one of the yahoos officiating.

On a related note, earlier this year, veteran Catholic activist Stephen Brady publicly expressed his goal of ousting Cupich from Chicago by the end of 2019. Cupich is, of course, a favorite of Pope Francis.

I asked Brady if he's still hopeful that Cupich can be ousted by the end of this year, to which Brady responded: "I'm aware of some state and federal investigations going on regarding Cupich. Hopefully they will pan out, but I'm not at liberty to tell the details yet."

One thing is clear for me personally, can't trust the church or it's cardinals nor the pope.

I take as a pinch of salt of anything that is news or whatever coming from the Vatican or Cardinal's diocese.

What finished me was Cardinal Brady and sheer dishonesty coming from the top. I met a abuser priest Fr Fortune very long ago at a wedding. Locals told me to keep away from him. He looked ugly to me that time as i heard stories re he at boys of minor age.

He tried to charge a friend of mine for opening the church gates when funeral arrived at the gates. Luckily he came from an abuse background like myself, he refused and threatened to thump Fr Fortune. He backed down and opened the gate.

Catholic church bishops have a ingrained habit of dumping the abuser priests at the area where working class families are cos they don't have the language or ability to raise the matter. Fr Walsh (Ballymun singing priest) approached a friend numerous times and he was totally rebuffed. Mine was schools which was close to Fr Walsh area but never met him. We exchanged stories at the wedding where Fr Fortune was then parish priest that time.

I don't trust the church at all whatsoever as it's all about money and power & politics nothing more than that.

Was it Carrrick who appointed Cupich? Im not an American but it seems to me that Cupich knew Carrick's skeletons at the closet. Convenience for Carrick to appoint him?

Thanks Beth as i have gotten over that thanks to catholic layman who has healing gifts in Ireland. It was thru him that my un-forgiveness left cos i was amazed to see it gone. I don't feel anger or hatred now as it was quite bloody difficult to get it over with at first as it was very long struggle. Friend emigrated to America where he is and also he works for SNAP now. Your healing is such a grace. Soooo many victims out there that no one even know exist. We all need to pray because they are suffering in silence. God, please heal all of these dear innocent souls! Expose the evildoers!

 

Exactly re your comments (it doesnt hurt them as it hurts victims). The church knew it all along and took advantage of it. That tells us more about the higher ups or those in bishopric/cardinal/papal authority.

The mistake that some of us was we reported it directly to the church in the past but now best way is to report to the civil authorities directly. I received graces which i didn't realize it until later.

Silence is not effective cos Catholic church relies on that exclusively and their culture of secrecy. I believe strongly is to speak out and expose their skeletons. That is coming out in the open more and more.

Noticed that some catholic laypersons are getting gift of healing now than it was in the past (normally a priest). Although there were some great healing priests that i have met back then but they have gone to their reward as i noticed most of them were Irish.

 

I met a priest one time years and yearts ago. I did not know his name, I knew nothing whatsoever about him and I only talked to him for a few minutes. However I can away with the indelible impression thathe was one of the most evil men I had ever met in my life. You can read about him here:

I think you know as you get older you do get a chance just from looking at people and maybe listening to them for short while whatkind of person theyare. It's part of growing up. How the Bishops and Cardinals who are supposed to not have any idea someone is dodgy bagfles me. They have whole files on the people and psyche appraisals.

Anyway look at the picture of this priest I am writing about, Brendan Smith. Would you trust him? His Bishop did.

 

Interesting that you met him just like i did re Fr Fortune. The first time i saw Fr Smyth on tv when the abuse scandal erupted that time. One thing stood out for me was his eyes staring at the tv camera as it was evil. My friend said the same thing re Fr Smyth's eyes.

Eyes are supposed to be window of any soul.

If i remember correctly (correct me im wrong there) his bishop was Cardinal Daly that time. Fr Sean Brady now cardinal was sent to investigate the abuses as a canon lawyer, That canon lawyer told the kids (without the presence of their parents) to be sworn secretly & tell nobody not even their parents and silent under the pain of excommunication. That was sick and revolting as a victim. Church hallmark is total silence and sheer secrecy. that's how they survive.

That Canon lawyer failed to tell other parents whose kilds that Fr Smyth was abusing them as well. That was quite unspeakable for me - grossly violation of his own responsibilities simple as that.

Question came to my mind -does he have any care for the kids or children when it came to this?? Same can be said for any bishop too!

 

Well things were bad back then but they are loads worse now. Then they tired to hide if priests and Bishops were homosexuals. Now they come right out and tell you and the congreation stands up and applauds them for their, 'honesy', in , 'Coming out'.

 

How bad was it back then?

i had visited Belfast twice both in 1970's and 80's as a youngster para's at border check was way over the top and unbelievable their behaviour. Women said to me 'hold there or do u want to be arrested'. So i kept it to myself. It was an eye opener for me.

Your comment re honesty in , coming out which is all fine and dandy but what about bishops, Cardinals,pope himself ..... will they come out or reveal something so secret or hidden or about their sexuality or abuse of their power???

 

They are like foxes. They will only come out in the open when there is no chance of them getting shot. They are more and more coming out in the open now because society accepts all kinds of perversion now as , 'Normal'. Even praiseworthy.

The real harm is that people like Cardinal Cupich wish to teach us that evil is a good thing. ..and of course Cupich is a great favourite of Pope Francis, hand picked. Which tells you something right there.

Its never a good thing to teach that 'evil is a good thing'. I don't know anything about Cupich nor his style or his modus operanti of Cupich cos i don't have a foggiest idea of him just heard his name..that's it.

Tell you one thing about evil .....back then i made a mistake of getting reiki healing (just healing but never initated) which demonic forces entered. I didn't know about reiki that time as i thought it was all good. I was so terribly naive that time. Also dabbled in other healing therapy such as TM.

It was sort of strangling and getting hold of me over the years spiritually as i didn't understand it cos i hadn't a clue whatsoever. Then one day i saw something on the internet re bad effects of TM and reiki which alarmed me. Thank god for internet cos priests never preached about it.

Then i went to Thailand, which was a god send cos i saw evil there big time, for instance a man with flashing evil eyes at me. I thought it was just a figment of my imagination but i double checked it again as it did it. Then i felt evil force inside me outside me there as i was deeply uncomfortable entering the church.

Then i sort of knew it myself that evil is BONDAGE in a true sense of a word as it's NEVER a good thing to teach that evil is good. It (evil) all does and do is bondage and entrap or strangle people spiritually. I got out eventually after some struggle with plenty of HC and masses etc.Its NO FUN with the evil spirits cos no joy cos in bondage or spiritually strangled which affects the body.

I just wonder and ask myself 'is Cupich satanaic or evil or is he is in some state of bondage with the evil spirits??
