We often hear how it is hard bringing up children these days. My 4 children are now young adults who still live at home. I am proud of them, they haven't given me any grief. I have always been reasonably strict, but they have been given a long rope of freedom too. My family do live in the real world. We are truely exposed to most things. I've always enjoyed keeping them safe. But there comes the time when things happen that become out of your control. In the past month, 2 of my daughters have had doctors appointments. 18 year old went to doctors about a sporting injury, but while there mentioned how she gets strong period pain. Doctors solution..... To go on the pill. 22 year old has been experiencing extreme abdominal pain over the last 3 months. After many doctors trying to find the reason why, they could not reach a solution. Gynecologist solution.......To go on the pill. Neither doctor gave any information to the negative side of the pill. This makes me so cross. If they choose to take the pill, and if they get in a situation, they may not think twice about saying "no", because they will feel is if they are safe. Who is protecting our children?????

Jane, I feel for you! This day and age is so bad, and so encourages sin. They are bombarded everywhere. You didn't say how your daughters are spiritually, but maybe you could have a talk with them about how the pill can stop a conceived egg from implanting in the uterus, thereby causing an abortion. Perhaps before they decided to try it, they would be interested to know what it is doing to thier body, and any baby they may conceive. I know I have been on Methotrexate for my Rheumatoid Arthritis, but it was after my husband had left so I was celebate, and if my husband had come back, was going to stop using it.

Thanks Awaitwithjoy! I may try it. I have been off my RA meds for over a month now, as I had to have ankle surgery, and am just dreading going back on them. I take Arava and Humira currently, but because they drilled a tumor out of my talar bone a few weeks ago, they want me to stay off them for a month as the meds bring down my immune system so bad. I have had RA since 2000, and have already gone through most of the meds, because my body gets used to them and they stop working. They are so dangerous though, and have a high cancer or infection risk. I've tried going off, but become completely disabled, and since I'm alone and pretty young yet, I need to work and take care of myself. I know I could get disability as I was already approved once, but I am afraid of being so dependant upon our government...

Oh thanks but I didn't mean that I had cancer, only that my meds carry a high "risk" of cancer if continued for several years. The bone tumor I had removed was benign and was bone scar tissue caused by a break in my ankle that didn't heal right. Lots of good stuff though! Thanks!

I don'k know if Satan does know what is going to happen. But he would listen to prophecy just like us. We all know what is going to happen, Jesus told us, so did the saints. I have said this before. But I reckon I could make up a story about seeing something Divine and make it sound real convincing, you just use all the information that is given through the prophets. Why would Satan alert us? He has no care for us. But he has to be very clever. He has to make it sound like he is warning us. These are his last days, and the ones he wants to decieve the most are the Catholics. So throw in things that are very Catholic like rosary and confession because we will say "these things hurt Satan the most, there is no way he would suggest this." Yes, they do hurt Satan, but if he can reel even the devoted people into his spirit, I would think he would make this sacrifice to win them over. So be careful. How can we tell? It can be very hard. But I believe if you open your mind and heart to look at the good and the bad of a prophecy it becomes so clear. Does it produce good fruit? Does it produce bad fruit? What happens when there is good and bad fruit? When I have one rotten tomato in a bag with good tomatoes they all become moldy.

And the saga continues....... In Australia, the children who graduated from school have what they call a "schoolies weekend" which starts tonight. This is where these 17 or 18 year olds (approx 8000 kids) all gather in a certain town and basicly party for 3 days/nights. One of my children are involved in this long party. I see on the news tonight, sexual health campaigners were at the main bus stop giving out free condoms to these kids so to assure them they can have a good time and by staying 'safe'. What is the message they are giving our children? I wish they would butt out and leave it to us as parents to show them how to stay 'safe'. You know, sadly, many other parents probably look at this 'free condom' scheme as a great idea.
Hi Jane, yes I heard on the news a few years ago that scientists who really were not sure how the pill worked, but assumed it stopped ovulation have now been saying that it does NOT stop ovulation in a large percentage of cases, but causes spontanious abortion like the IUD and other chemicals. Also you can tell your daughter that although governments will not admit this, the Pill has a very high rate of causing later infertillity, so that women have a very hard time conceiving later when they are "ready" for a child. Many areas of our drinking water is a combination of sewage,the aquifers or lakes. Human urine does contain a host of things, but as a rule human urine is safe and in purest form. ( Many tribes drink their urine and do not have any disease at all) It is the feces that is dangerous that goes down the commode into the sewers and not to mention on the earth causing havoc from animals.
