I would highly recommend ROKU...its a small device you hook to your TV , sign in and you can add as many free or paid venues as you want. I got more free stuff than I can watch. You will need internet .

It's obvious that Disney are just users of children and will use, and abuse, them in any way they can. It's a far cry from Bambi.

The hair raising thing about all this is that they are coming right out in the open together about this stuff and they don't care about loosing loads and loads of money in the process. Why is this?

It is a bit like being stalked down the road one dark night. At first the stranger hides up alleys, skulks in gardens but then suddenly he comes right out in the open and does not hide anymore. He strides straight and confidently towards you!

Netflix, Warner and Disney suddenly are no longer skulking in the shadows, they're striding right out in the open towards us with very, very ill intent. This organised; no doubt about it. A kind of Corporate Gang Rape of a State whose Elected Representatives make laws for its own citizens .

These are business people who no longer seems to care about massive loss of income and ill repute acting in concert....they have come in right out of the shadows.

    What's going on here?

    Scary!!

We have Roku and we have more stuff to watch than ever. Before we had that, I got Hulu. I love Hulu because it has all the old tv shows. I don't know if it is better as it is still Hollywood but the shows from the past seem to promote a better message than the current nightmare agenda. Andy Griffith, Brady Bunch, Munsters, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy.....most of them I used to watch reruns as a child and they are a blast from the past for me. There are loads of tv shows and some movies. Of course they have a lot of the newer shows also.

There are also a lot of free tv if you search the internet.

They are driven by powers beyond profit. The war fare is out in the open now. And the showdown is real. This is a winner take all game I fear. Pray!!

I wonder if it might be that they're coming out in the open because they are badly loosing ground in the USA? I mean with Trump in the White House and States passing pro life Legislation?

Kind of like waking the sleeping dragon?

Certainly the fact that these huge Corporations are acting in concert against their own bottom line profit margins would make you wonder. I mean they must know they are going to take a hit of hundreds of millions from this; but they're prepared to take it right on the chin.

If ever there were good evidence for Luciferian conspiracy theories it is this.

    Sleeping dragons indeed.

    Poor old Georgia.

    Georgia's certainly on my mind.:)

I'll tell you one funny thing about this. Russia was always the Communist bad, but now as prophesied at Fatima she is converting and may turn to to be the saviour of the world.

The southern states of the USA were always portrayed as the bad old slave owning guys but now they are leading the entire world in standing solidly up for Christian values.

It is as though things have gone into total reverse. Anyhow if it keeps up I am going to cultivate a civilised Southern accent:)

Padraig, Lately, I have been thinking about some of what you have posted. I am not certain about Russia being fully converted yet, probably in part it has.

With everything that has occurred since the 2016 US election, Russia does appear to be the instrument of the US's chastisement in a sense. I think that we could say that Russia has greatly helped in magnifying the divisions that existed in the US and that they have also caused the US government to waste a lot of time and money these past 2.5 years and it doesn't look like it is going to end soon***. We have certain government officials to blame for that too, of course, but without Russia who knows.

The South has been referred to as the "Bible Belt" in the past (present?) so that helps explain a little bit of what is occurring now.

    upload_2019-5-31_16-5-16.png

In the past, they were known more for the "Fire and Brimstone" sort of stuff but we could really use some of that right now so long as we don't go down the road of condemning sinners and stick with condemning the sin. Speaking of that, I was on Ann Bernhardt's blog today (ugh) and she takes it a bit too far - reminiscent of what I am referring to here. That's not good.

On a related note, I watched the movie "Inherit the Wind"* recently it is a pretty good movie imo and it is based on what came to be known as the "Scopes Trial" or the "Scopes Monkey Trial". The Wikipedia page** for this trial is very interesting too, it explains how the trial was a set up and the substitute teacher who was accused of teaching Darwinism really did not do so. I bring this up because I suppose that some people have always manipulated things to reach their intended end, it's sad. I don't want to give away the movie entirely but it does end with a good message, thankfully. Although, you won't think so unless you watch it all the way to the very, very end. The movie is a bit sad too.

Things are changing, even in Europe. Matteo Salvini recently implored the help of Our Lady for Italy, something he has been praised for by Cardinal Mueller. Predictably, he was condemned for this by most Italian bishops, who supported the baby-murdering and pervert-promoting Italian Democrats in the recent elections, and by the Vatican, with our politician-Pope refusing to meet him.

In defiance of the teaching of the Second Vatican Council, our Pope continues to appropriate the authority of the Church for the promotion of his own particular, globalist, political ideals. The more time and effort he devotes to this nonsense, the better. It will leave less time and energy for interfering with doctrine and he will ultimately discredit his legacy.

I remember watching it on TV in college(?) and being struck by one scene. Without going into too much detail, there were a couple who donated to the defense because their minister, who supported the prosecution, had told people in church that their 12-yo son, who had die in a drowning the year before, was now in hell because he had not been baptized. This was a denomination which did not practice infant baptism but waited until the person was in their teens.

The idea that someone would think such cruelty was Christian was a concept I could not wrap my head around. It's like when protestants ask me, "Well, how do you know you've been saved?" and I tell them, "I don't! I believe in God's justice, I trust in His mercy, and I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling." All of which are scriptural statements. Then I ask them, "Why do you think God HATES you? Why do you believe that He is just waiting, waiting for the opportunity to smite you?"

Years and years ago, one of my older brothers met an Irish priest who was doing mission work in the Deep South, and over the years had learned to mix his Irish brogue with a Southern drawl. Strangest thing he had ever heard, and even today I can't imagine what it sounded like.

Have you read Cardinal Parolin's backtracking on Salvini? I don't know whether he was shamed into it by Cardinal Muller or whether he has set his sights on becoming Pope Francis 11, but if that's the best he can do he'll be lucky if Salvini doesn't demand the right to choose Italy's Bishops. After all, if the Chinese Communist Party shortlists the candidates for China's bishops, there can't be any valid reason why Catholic Italy's government should be denied the same privilege.

Parolin denounced Salvini for waving Rosary beads at a political rally. Had Salvini been canny enough to wave a bicycle pump and jam jar, he would have stood a good chance of going into the election with a ringing endorsement from the Pope.

  19. Facebook lawyer says users ‘have no expectation of privacy’

A lawyer for Facebook argued in court Wednesday that the social media site’s users “have no expectation of privacy.”

According to Law360, Facebook attorney Orin Snyder made the comment while defending the company against a class-action lawsuit over the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

“There is no invasion of privacy at all, because there is no privacy,” Snyder said.

In an attempt to have the lawsuit thrown out, Snyder further claimed that Facebook was nothing more than a “digital town square” where users voluntarily give up their private information.

“You have to closely guard something to have a reasonable expectation of privacy,” Snyder added.

Although Snyder said that the social media site would be focusing more on privacy in the future, U.S. District Court Judge Vince Chhabria reportedly pushed back on Facebook’s argument.

“What you are saying now sounds contrary to the message that Facebook itself disseminates about privacy,” Chhabria said, according to Law.com.

The Daily Dot reached out to Facebook for comment but did not receive a reply.

Synder’s statement came just hours before Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told company shareholders during their annual meeting Thursday that Facebook would become a “privacy-focused social platform.”

The meeting, held at Hotel Nia in Palo Alto, California, was also met with protest by civil liberties groups calling for the CEO’s firing.

A proposal at the meeting to have Zuckerberg step down as CEO was voted down, however, given that the Facebook co-founder currently controls the majority of voting shares.

    Padraig,

I'm sorry to say that I think you've oversimplified what is happening in the USA. This is a great revelation of the deep divide in my country. I rejoice in the number of States passing these laws that show abortion for what it truly is. But there are liberal States such as New York, Illinois, and California, who have gone to the other extreme! If we look at a map of the 2016 election, we see a lot more red states than blue. This is wonderful, but if one looks at the overall population the divide between conservative and liberal is much more even.

The more densely populated States, especially the cities, went to Hillary, except for Texas and Florida. Look at New York State, for instance. It is mostly red, but the cities: NYC, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany, won the day. Even in Texas, Houston went to Hillary.

So even if the Southern States pass these wonderful anti-abortion laws, every one of these laws are being dragged into the courts which for the most part are controlled by liberals. The anger and bitterness will surely ratchet up the closer we come to a final verdict.

The divisiveness may yet turn UGLY!

    Lord have Mercy!
