Carol, I too believe that it is not always about a physical place. In my catastrophic flood dream, I was told to go home while everyone else fled. Over the years, I've pondered and discerned and put those words to the test. This is what I learned for myself: to go home means to go home to my family, to immerse myself in the care and love of my family - not just to return to my house. Every time, I sense evil, every time I am under attack, I 'deepen' my care of the family. It is like a refuge for me. And the attacks either cease, or their effects on me reduce - every single time. I've also had a few other dreams which have confirmed this family response.

When I was studying background for the film" The Impossible", I watched interviews of Maria Belon, the mother in the movie. In real life she was a woman who had also had dreams of tsunami's throughout her earlier life, in Spain, and did not understand why. Then she became a survivor of the Asian tsunami... so somehow she was being prepared with the dreams...
Good idea if you live in a larger country than New Zealand, but for us, our main fault / plate boundary runs offshore - then when it comes onshore it runs right under our Southern Alps mountain range. So, for example, we had an offshore/ onshore quake about 3 years ago called the Kaikoura Quake and people who had houses in the foothills of the mountains found their houses completely trashed, they got so badly shaken. For us there is not going to be an escape - but I am trusting the Lord to tell me where to go ahead of time, or to help me to be prepared to die.

Sure, I am flattered, thank you. Although actually my conversion story is a bit boring. I was baptised nine years ago when in my 30ies. This was after an atheist youth. I looked into near death experiences (medical studies for example by Michael Sabom). I then thought there must be an afterlife so I started looking into the God question. I was interested in evidence so I came across the sun miracle of Fatima. I read the skeptics' reviews but found them unconvincing. There are many many more aspects to my story, but they don't get any more interesting. I'm glad to be here, as one of the recent new joiners to this forum so aptly put it.
Thank you for telling us Frank. Once long ago a friend of mine was on a search for faith and for God and I believe Jesus gave me an interior "word" for her. I believe He told me to tell her "your desire for Me is really My desire for you" Honestly I had to think about it. But then I realized that He is always drawing us and pursuing us until finally we are drawn back to Him. As St John says in scripture "not that we loved Him but that He loved us and gave Himself up for us." That is what it sounds like happened to you. He sought you until you found Him. ( with the very very powerful intercession of Our Lady)
I’ve had two vivid memorable tsunami dreams. One 15-20 years ago, in which I survived. One more recently where I was crushed by a flood of wreckage and debris and realized in the dream this debris field was the leading edge of a type of tsunami. I no longer can make any claim to understanding these dreams or whether they’re simply a product of my subconscious or something more substantial.

I definitely believe that those scriptures are referring to what occurred in 70AD but maybe they also refer to an event in the future. *** I'm still reflecting on those 2 videos about the 3rd Secret created by the same author and posted above. Like many others on the forum, I believe that we are going to experience a sort of dress rehearsal soon of what will happen immediately prior to the Second Coming. I think that there will be earthquakes and volcanoes erupting and some tsunamis; of course, we have had all of these in a big way since the year 2000 anyway. All of these things that are part of the Minor Chastisement as spoken by various approved prophets will occur including civil unrest worldwide and imo division appears to be at an all time high right now in most countries around the world. We also have material heresy and a schism like situation in the Church, in addition, Muslims extremists and others are physically attacking our churches and causing great trouble in Europe in general. All of these things are outlined in the Minor Chastisement. We are pretty far down on the list of items included in the Minor Chastisement. In addition, like scripture states we have also experienced a sign in the heavens - the Woman Clothed With The Sun imho and eventually there will be a period of darkness lasting for around 3 days. I also think that when the Minor Chastisement reaches a culmination many people will label Pope Francis as the False Prophet and someone will be labeled as the Antichrist but these people won't be right because we won't really be at the end but it will seem like we are in nearly every aspect of what scripture says. So, I suppose what I am trying to do is tell you not to panic. I think that it is possible that we, for whatever reason, were chosen to become familiar with these approved Catholic prophecies so we can help others who may begin to panic. I also find it interesting that in one of those videos posted above about the 3rd secret the author of the video believes that the year 2020 could be in the culmination and 2020 will be the 7th anniversary of Pope Francis' papacy. I think that if something very obvious does not occur in mid-March then I will know that I am wrong about the timing and I'm ok with that. There is one more big clue that I have which points to this timing but I don't want to post about it because I am not certain. I do think that I was given this insight recently but I am not certain that it is divine or not, to be honest. My thoughts are, assuming that he did read the 3rd secret, he still needed to interpret the prophecy properly and most prophecies are open for many different interpretations. I think that this idea that we will experience a dress rehearsal of what occurs before the Second Coming may also explain why Sister Lucy stated that the 3rd secret is all in the Book of Revelation chapters 8-13 and then later denied that. It may also explain why Malachi Martin explained the severity of the 3rd secret the way that he did. In addition, when this occurs it will mean that the time of the Antichrist is very close and I can't think of anything more severe than that except for maybe persecuting the wrong two people for being the False Prophet and the Antichrist.
I have a question for all of those who believe in the multiple approved prophecies which tell us that after a time of upheaval in the Church and in the world which most of believe is occurring right now there will be a large conversion of people in the world to Catholicism. My question is why do you think that this conversion to Catholicism will occur? Currently, I believe that the Illumination of Conscience and the Warning are two separate events. I think that the Illumination of Conscience will occur at the time of the Second Coming and the Warning will occur before the period of peace but whether or not these or two separate events or not, when either of these events occur we know that people are supposed to see the state of their souls but what about these events would prompt someone to convert to Catholicism specifically? I have not really studied Medjugore but I do know that there will be 10 secrets so there is a possibility that these secrets could be the motivator for such a conversion but since I am a follower of Our Lady of Garabandal it does seem that the Miracle would be the motivator for this conversion. When the Miracle occurs at Garabandal it will be associated with Catholicism and just as Jesus told Conchita it will be the reason for conversion to Catholicism. So again, I wonder how those who believe in the numerous prophecies which foretell of a large conversion to Catholicism see this conversion taking place? I am truly interested to hear your thoughts. Very much so, you nailed it. And yes, his mother. A year before I got baptised I had a stressful job and was single. On my way home to a village at night I would stop for quiet time in some vineyards by a river in the countryside. There was an old chapel of our Lady. I was still agnostic at that point but would stop there for relaxation. The paint was coming off so I would sweep it a bit and light a candle and leave. As such the chapel was shining through the countryside at night. Soon I noticed on other days when approaching a candle already shining. The villagers had apparently picked up the tradition again. Maybe our Lady liked that and helped me onwards.
Hello C55, This is a very important question. We know that there will be a sign at Garabandal and a sign is also mentioned at Medjugore. My belief is that there will be signs across the world. Mary cares about all her children and she is not just a visitor to Europe. She will draw everyone in . I also think whatever the sign, they will be biblical (column of fire?) so that there is no doubt that we are being drawn to Jesus. Miracles were also promised, perhaps across the world. The timing will be crucial. Belief has plummeted. We are getting a taste of what the world is like without God’s guidance. This will worsen, and then we have a sign of love and hope! These events will be difficult for those who worship new age values or made up deities to ignore. I can’t wait.

This is a very interesting question. Firstly, even after World War 2 the Churches were bursting with parishioners in Germany. The chastisment this time will go way beyond World War 2. More importantly, there will be no doubt as to its supernatural origin, in particular regarding the Three Days. We discussed this recently and the overwhelming majority's view was that this is to be interpreted literally, with demon-infested air and "enemies of the Church perishing". I also think the "cabal" will get exposed and people will no longer be mislead by their agenda. Instead, the system's motives and actions will come to light, including attacks against the Church from outside and inside. This will make people see where truth and holiness really is to be found. Refer A.K. Emmerichs vision of how St Peters in Rome is taken down stone by stone, and then our Lady comes and spreads her mantle over it and it gets rebuilt quickly. Or Don Boscos vision of the ship, where all the little boats return to the mother ship in the end after the attacks are over and the mother ship is anchored between Eucharist and Our Lady. I don't believe in unapproved apparitions such as Garabandal and Medjugorje, partially because I consider these flawed and partially because I think the Church has been given authority by our Lord. So, just like the author of the video, I don't think we will get an illumination of conscience or a special miracle. That said, I think we come to similar conclusions by and large.
Yes, thank you for telling us, Frank, that's an inspiring story. I have a property that has a free standing single car garage on it, a garage that is small and old and decaying somewhat. Lately I have been thinking of turning it in to a Chapel. Your story has inspired me further.
