Here is the island were this is happening here, Mayotte. I would not want to live there, it seems about to collapse anyway, a pretty horrible place to live. Apparently the islanders are terrified , there have been almost daily minor earthquakes.
I'll tell you something I remember myself which is one of the reasons why I take a close interest in such things. It was I think St Patrick's Day , many years ago on the roof of a very high building in the USA city of Chicago. I was looking out at the city when suddenly it changed. It became a lake right in front of my eyes and I could see the higher buildings peeking out of the water. The rest of it was just ..well water, water, water, very,very deep water. I turned to a gentleman beside me who happened to be an American himself and a total stranger and I told him what I had seen. I expected him to simply laugh at me or call for medical assistance for a raving lunatic. But he astonished me by saying very, matter of factly. 'Of course it's going to flood. They're all going to flood. Everyone knows that'..and he just walked away. I was far more surprised by his reaction than by what I had just witnessed. I comforted my by thing that Chicago is such an inland city it could never happen. But then I remembered about the Great Lakes nearby. They make a perfect doorway for a great wave coming in from the East Coast to funnel in.

By David Grossman May 22, 2019 Marc Chaussidon On November 11, 2018, the largest offshore volcanic event in recorded history occurred, with an origin point near the African island nation of Madagascar and the island of Mayotte, which is controlled by the French government. Despite its power, however, this event went largely unnoticed by the planet—perhaps because it was so remotely located beneath the ocean that no human was directly affected. Now French scientists studying the eruption have come to the conclusion that the violence and strength of the eruption came from an entirely new volcano being born into existence. Scientists have ventured out to what they believe is the epicenter of the violence, around 31 miles (50 km) east of Mayotte's shores. There, various French agencies including the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the French Institute for Research for Exploitation of the Sea (IFREMER), worked on board the RV Marion Dufresne to investigate what had happened. This past February, the French scientists began monitoring the area. They placed seismometers on the seafloor, over 2 miles (3.5 km) down, and used multibeam acoustic sensors to map the ocean floor. BGRM “They were popping as we brought them on board,” says Nathalie Feuillet, director of the Institute of Geophysics in Paris (IPGP) and leader of the expedition, in an interveiw with Science. That popping represented a clear sign that high-pressure gas was trapped within the black volcanic material. The collective data, also using information pulled from Mayotte, reached one conclusion: There's a new underwater volcano. And it's really big—but the ocean is bigger. According to a press release from the French government, the new volcano "is located over 3,500 meters (2.1 miles) deep. Its current size is estimated at 800 m in height (around half a mile) with a base of 4 to 5 km (2.4 miles to 3.1) in diameter. The plume of volcanic fluids 2 km (1.2 miles) in height does not reach the surface of the water." The working theory is that there's a deep magma chamber underneath the sea floor, sending molten rock upward and then contracting. That shift would cause the floor to creak and crack. Just that slight movement could indicate a magma chamber sinking. The island itself has experienced a string of earthquakes since last year. It's a theory that makes sense, but scientists aren't willing to definitely say so yet. There are alternate ideas, like an unexpected tectonic shift. Visions of both birth and destruction can be read into the volcanic activity; it's theorized that islands like Mayotte and Hawaii formed through similar patterns, but some also think that westward migration of the small earthquakes could trigger a tsunami. For now, Feuillet and her team want to continue their study before reaching any conclusions. They hope to extend their time on board the Marion Dufrense by several months.

So it appears the vision is mentioned TWICE in the book - but the second description (on p. 225) has somehow escaped most commentators (see second video posted above). The earth rumbled and roared as before, and I watched from about 300 feet away as a huge section of underground granite or similar material just jutted through the Tri-State road and plowed through the Oasis. Its upward movement stopped bout 20-30 feet above the roof of the Oasis; all told, the wall of stone appeared to be about four or five stories high. The massive ridge of stone that jutted in the air appeared to be sliding east-west in movement, moving back and forth. I seemed to know that south of that ridge of stone the ground had dropped much lower than the ground on the north side of the ridge and facture. I seemed to know then and now that this was the fault line. When the wall of stone rose through the Tri-State and through the Oasis, it happened so fast and caught me so much by surprise that I jammed on my brakes to avoid hitting that wall of stone before I realized that it was only a vision not the real thing. Past the O’Hare Oasis going south on the Tri-State there is an air bridge. I clearly saw this completely destroyed after the earthquake. In every direction I could see raging fires, pillars of black smoke, wrecked houses and factories. The destruction was so great that it defies description. I came upon a building, 15 stories high standing on the east side of the Tri-State, called the O’Hare-port Hotel of North Lake. I saw the wall of water move over the city, and when it hit that 15-story building, the water was just above the roof of that hotel. In that vision of a future day, I also saw a jet airliner coming in for a landing at O’Hare airport just at the time this wall of water made its appearance. The pilot also noticed it and from the black smoke I saw coming out of the jet exhausts, I knew he was accelerating to get up and out. I wondered where the aircraft could land. I thought of Milwaukee, but then I saw that this city, too, was flooded and being destroyed. I thought of St. Louis and saw it also broadly flooded and drowned out of existence. It was then that I began to realize some of the real scope of this future destruction, and only later realized that there has been no parallel in history for what is apparently coming upon us. I noticed that the wall of water was deepest through the heart of Chicago and that further south the depth tapered off, and further north also it was not nearly as deep. I noticed the overpasses and underpasses will collapse, and be buried and blocked; that roads will be buckled and broken in so many places that all traffic will be at a standstill. Escape after the quake, if one survives it, will prove to be almost impossible. I suddenly saw the Loop area in a vision. By the way the shadows fell, it seemed to be twelve noon. I could see traffic moving through the downtown area; however, my attention was focused on the base of a huge building. Again came the prelude and the earthquake. Autos were literally flung off the streets into buildings by the violent movements of the earth. A horrible chorus of creaking, scraping, and grating sounds filled the air, not unlike masts of great sailing ships in a storm, as the skyscrapers swayed to and fro. The giant building began to shear off from its base about 20 feet from the sidewalk but surprised me by not falling. Brick, stone, glass, debris of every sort fell into the streets below like hail driven by a storm wind. As the quake ended, I heard many voices speaking of their great luck to be alive. Many awaited rescuer parties, but none were giving thanks to God. Suddenly my view shifted to the lake front. After the earthquake ended, the waters of Lake Michigan swiftly calmed down; lying still in a strange and ghostly silence. The calm water then seemed to tremble or bead-up, and as I watched, the level of the water began to drop quickly. There was a whooshing sound as the water literally disappeared in a northeasterly direction, leaving only some large puddles, here and there. A period of time then passed in that same day; but how much time I do not know. From a vantage point at street level in the Loop, I suddenly heard a terrible roaring sound. The sunlight was totally blotted out and everything was engulfed in a suffocating darkness. Later I was to see an aerial view of Chicago’s downtown area, when the returning wall of water from Lake Michigan would crash into the Loop with unbelievable force, surrounding the greater skyscrapers still standing. In fact, prophets have often described what seems like Sister´s Lucy´s vision long before the coming of Our Lord. This is from Ezekiel 38: Notice that, though Israel is mentioned (it could be a symbol for the whole world, or western civilization), the vision is related to the whole world. And the chastisement seems to happen while some great war is going on (I highlighted those parts in red): 17 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You are the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel. At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. 18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Wonderful. I’m planning on visiting Marian Caskets (www.MarianCaskets.com) near Seattle on Vashon Island in the Puget Sound while I’m on the west coast this fall visiting my son. Don’t worry, I’ve given up the idea of a motorcycle trip since I’ll hopefully be spending a week or two at Vashon Island learning how to make traditional pine wood caskets there. I hope to make a small one and bring it back east with me to show our board here that it’s a feasible idea for our community to make them here too. (They’ve already talked to Marcus there.) I’ll get a small van for the trip and sleep in it on the way out and back.
I've had such dreams on and off since childhood and have often wondered why. What you describe is very similar to what I've dreamed. Curious.
Could it have been an angel rather than a man? Such a response is quite odd and unlikely it seems to me. But an angel to affirm your vision--that makes sense.
You know I had thought about it. Certainly in Ireland it would have raised hairs on the back of my neck; it was such an unusual response to such an unlikely statement. But then I thought...this is America...perhaps Americans are much more open to Prophecy than the Irish. I mean studies have shown that a huge number of them believe in angels, for instance.
When did you say this happened? Chicagoans are quite well aware of the dangers of the New Madrid fault and at one time were fairly well aware of that prophecy I posted.
