Hehe...yup! 13 hours ahead of NY time. (that's known as Eastern time?) My post was made just before leaving for morning mass.
Just got back from First Friday evening Mass and Adoration here in India. Thank God for His Sacred Heart's Love for us.
Yes! I went this morning and here in US. 7:00 adoration of Blessed Sacrament andcconfessions and then Mass at 8 AM. So wonderful. So many Grace's and blessings.
Here in Australia I attended yesterday 'Friday evening' .....Mass, confession, adoration for an hour which culminated with benediction. I was in Heaven! It is now 915 am Saturday morning.
It is so wonderful that we have so many people from all over the world here That is one of the wonderful things about the Catholic religion. It is all encompassing.
AED, use the world clock function on your iPhone to get the time for Colombo, Sri Lanka displayed there. Then you wouldn't need to do math.
First Saturday meditation: Meditation of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple: Before the Mass, I become a Bethlehem. The cave where Jesus is to be born is inside my heart. I try to prepare a place fit for Him to be born, but it is cold and dark inside, and yet, He chooses to be born here. Upon His arrival, my cave becomes all Light and the darkness and cold within disappear. Mother Mary wraps Him tightly in my heart as She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes. The Lord is now with Me! It is time to present Him to God the Father; I bring Him within me to the temple to present Him to the Father. He leaves my heart as He leaves the arms of Our Mother to be placed in the arms of Simeon (the Priest). Simeon takes Him into his arms and blesses God. (My eyes have seen your salvation which you prepared in sight of all the peoples". My eyes look at Jesus in the Eucharist – our salvation – prepared in sight of all people. Then Jesus is given back to me as Simeon handed Him back to Mary. This “sign that will be contradicted” is now with me. As I carry Him with me, I know that I too shall become a sign of contradiction. And united with Mary our Mother, I give my "Fiat" to the Father. May His adorable Will be always done!
Amen. We are truly the Universal (catholic in Greek) Church, Praetorian! Anyway, First Saturday Mass is always a blessing. How favored we Catholics are!
Just a reminder this weekend is First Friday and First Saturday!!! We can't complain about what's happening in the Church if we don't do our part! Well, maybe we shouldn't complain about things anyway, but we probably will so...
