Yes Gary....we really do need to pray more for them. I have to be less angry and more prayerful myself. I know that... Our Lady wants her sons back...she does want us to pray for them. I try to remember to pray a Hail Mary at Mass for them and when in line to receive Jesus, I ask God to bless the priest who is bringing me the Eucharist that day. God love the good priest who dedicated their whole life to loving and serving Our Lord. Without them. We would have no Eucharist at all!

Thank you to all of the good priest who live their vocation faithfully! God bless them!

Thank you Gary...this article expressed what I wanted to convey.
This portion stood out to me:

Sacramentum Caritatis, ("Sacrament of Love"), teaches: “No one eats that flesh without first adoring it; we should sin were we not to adore it” (Enarrationes in Psalmos 98, 9). Kneeling indicates and promotes the adoration necessary before receiving the Eucharistic Christ.

Yes Beth. Thats also what stood out for me as well.
Something else as well. You said you must watch your anger in this matter and pray instead, and your right. But it later dawned on me and made me recall something. It was Jesus expressing His righteous anger for those insulting the house of His Father tipping over the money changing tables and telling them just why He had done that. He didnt think that was so acceptable then nor do I feel He would find this acceptable either.
    God bless....

A lot of this stuff is really spooky. When the new Church was built in our Parish and the old one pulled down there was no statue of Our Lady. I finally got up the courage to ask our Parish Priest why we had no statue of Our Lady put up and he said,

'Health and Safety reasons'..that they were afraid of it falling over and hurting someone.

    This to me was spooky.

Again when I asked the local Parish Nun what the modern stained glass actually meant as I could not work it out her reply was,

'It means whatever you want it to mean'.

Again I thought this was spooky.

It was only later I found many , many other parishioners had asked for a statue of Our Lady and many, many others asked what the modern art actually meant. It wasn't just me.

    Nothing ever changed.

    Super spooky.

Yes Gary...Jesus Himself demonstrated “ just anger”.... in a very big way! His holy church is routinely being defiled. We have to stand up to these insults to His Holy temple...to do otherwise is to ignore His righteous anger.
If He died to give it to us, the least we can do is defend it..His church...and by extension, Jesus Himself. How could any priest refuse the Eucharist...Jesus Himself, because a member of His body chooses to kneel before Him. It’s unspeakable in my mind.

Oh yes, your more than right about this. I think that now we can see the general degradation of the church expressing itself as were witnessing it. Its not in our minds, its there to look at. The truth will always show itself for what it is. I know were not speaking for all clergy and His servants but it does seem to infecting more and more of them. Thats a good word you chose, "spooky".
    God bless....

Yes Beth and so true. And what better place to make a stand for the reasons we speak about. There are a great deal of people that will be reading what we are saying on this forum and I feel that the people really need to hear things such as this. Our faith is about Jesus and how much we love Him.

This Padraig is part of the gradual process of modernist to strip our church of it’s true mission in my opinion.
Removing the statue of Our Lady? Stained glass windows meaning “ whatever”? No, this is not acceptable.
The scenes depicted in the old beautiful stained glass windows were designed to inspire faith into the congregants...our true catholic faith. To simple feature colored glass incorporated into the house of God and say it’s meant to be whatever you intended it to be is just part of the gradual dissembling of the church...and the faith.
Symbolic expression of the faith was intentional to inspire and teach....hence, what is abstract art in the modernist church is intentional too...and not in a good way. Are we then invited to interpret the scriptures according to our own vision? It seems this is reality now too in the church.

    It’s the boiling frog....

The boiling frog is a fable describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.

The gradual disassembling of our church and faith.

It will have success, but ultimately will fail. The gates of hell will not prevail! The small faithful revenant will remain just that...faithful. Not my opinion, the Bible! :)

Well I'm glad I asked. I've never hear of that before. But such a good example of might be going on. Thank you for that illustration(y)

My son, Benjamin, and I joined with Pope St. John Paul II for Holy Mass at the Aqueduct Racetrack near New York City in 1995. At that Holy Mass, the Pope would hold back the Eucharist in a similar fashion as that Bishop - until the communicant would realize that the Pope was insisting he or she receive on the tongue. So I think, Don, it is not so much a lack of love, but the complete embracing of the new "proper" protocol!o_O:cry:

If one were to imagine that Jesus suddenly appeared before us, how would one react?
Would you kneel before Him, perhaps prostate yourself, or would you continue to stand up?
Thinking of that answer, then it naturally follows that if one truly believes in the Real Presence in the Eucharist, that would be the action one should take when receiving Holy Communion.
Once you start kneeling to receive, it becomes easier every time, especially when doing so in the same church, where people tend to get used to the sight.
Some may even gain courage to do the same.
Of course, those who have much difficulty kneeling and getting up would hesitate without some support, and that is understandable.

I agree. As I’m getting a bit older now, I’d love to be able to kneel at a altar rail. I think I’d have some trouble kneeling otherwise. So sad our beautiful churches were modernized and the wonderful altar rail removed. With each passing day, I miss the original, pre Vatican beautiful churches and traditions
Also miss the bells ringing during the consecration. Holiness is missing in our church....and we wonder why the youth quit going to mass?

In most churches I have been too, this is part of the posture during and just after Consecration. All are kneeling just prior to going up to receive, so long as they are physically able.
