I feel for you. I would only pray the rosary and beg our mother for the grace to accept what comes. Little ones have a pure heart and they will not suffer the warning I understand. Those under the age of reason. But still, be at peace and just pray for God's will to be done, that if they are not near you, that they are near someone compassionate and kind. THEN PUT YOUR ANGEL IN CHARGE OF IT...
AFTER THE WARNING What do we say to others? Maybe we could start off by saying what a loving a merciful God we have. We are now in the last days. He could have left it to judgement day to sort the good from the bad. But no, in His mercy has shown His love to us by showing us what offends Him. He is calling us for the very last time to convert. To turn away from ALL sin. He has given us free will to choose. But now the choice is Heaven or Hell, no other. Gee. What do we say after the warning? People are going to ask you and me. We all know there is alot to be said, but how do you start? I'm sure once we know how to start off, the rest will follow? What would you say?
I have to admit that I struggle to live out my faith. I guess I am going through my own dark night of the soul at this point in time... wanting to accept God's invitation but having difficulty commiting to it. It's sort of like I've gotten an invitation and I'm going to post office with my RSVP but I keep swapping between the yes and no as I'm on my way!! I think my role after the Warning will be in relating to people that want to change but struggle with human weakness. I understand this as I experience it. Confession cleans us of sin but it doesn't change who we are. The effect of sin still remains and makes it easy for us to fall into error again. While the warning will be miraculous and many will try to change... they can't change who they are and the habits of a lifetime are not so easy to break. I think after the warning I will be an ordinary person who people can talk to about this struggle and who hopefully I will be able to encourage and offer examples from my own experiences. I also have a feeling that my main role might be simply to suffer and give that to God for the salvation of my soul and the souls of young people lost in the world. It's kind of a scary thought... hence my struggle to commit to God's plan for me!
Try and contemplate God's love for you every day and just focus on responding to this love. But first, fill yourself up with the love of God. He will then do the rest and it will become easier for you to co-operate
AFTER THE WARNING what do we say to others? Well, one thing to do is to give testimony about the existence of so many prophecies that anticipated the warning since, at least, the XVI th century. People must know that the warning was already expected by so many people that knew it was going to happen. This is important because many will try to give a “rational” explanation. They will say it was some kind of global delusion due to blah, blah, blah… People must also be informed that the warning signals the beginning of the end times and the tribulation is at hand…
At first, everyone will know it is a warning, but some will refuse to repent, others will convert and it will last, others won't last through lack of teaching. I guess that will be round about the time that scientists will suddenly have their answers, and will give those who are struggling an excuse to fall back.
We have a shortage of priests now as it is......... Can you imagine what it will be like then? Priests are going to need as many hands on deck, to console, listen to, encourage etc... And to share your faith, some people will not know an ounce about Christianity, even though at some point they may have been baptized
Ahhh. Yes. But make sure you talk about only approved prophecies. There are 'so many prophecies that anticipated the warning'. But not all of them are authentic. We do have a big responsibility. We can not risk it by talking about things that the Church have not approved of. Now I believe in Garabandal. But St Faustina was the first to warn us on the warning. Garabandal has had the biggest influence about the warning, but maybe I need to stick with St Faustina on this. Do not use Medjugorje as a prophet to follow at this time. Our Lady at Medjugorje has not mentioned "The Warning." (I Think, correct me if I'm wrong) Nor is there talk about the chastisement. There is too much against Medjugorje. I am 98% convinced this is the prophet that "even the elect, if possible" will follow. I can not express enough. We are responsible to talk only of approved apparitions. I'm pretty sure all the information we will need is in the prophecies of St Faustina and St Pio, and ofcourse the Bible. Oh my, we need to pray for the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. If we think we can do this with out these gifts, we are kidding ourselves. I will continue to offer the Mass for all of us on this.
Hey Jane, Unless the Medj Commission states that we can not follow Medj, then we can recommend it to others. You clearly are not comfortable with Medj, so I can see why you would not. But for those of us woken up and inspired to convert by Medj...how can we not speak about what we have experienced there? Medj has 10 secrets. The first 2 are warnings for the world, the 3rd will be a sign left in Medj to prove it's authenticity, and the rest are considered to be chastisements. I personally believe the warning will be either secret #1 or 2. And I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same warning as Garabandal. And the chastisements predicted at Garabandal are the same Medj secrets #4 - 10. I believe these 2 apparitions compliment each other and co-exist. After the warning I will try my best to help people and help my local priests. I will have my hands full helping my family and friends...but hope to help anyone who needs it. I'm sure I'll be telling them all about what I learned at Medj and the divine mercy chaplet!
Hi Siena, I can't tell you how much I struggled and still struggle with accepting the invitation! It's pretty natural I guess. We all stumble and fall along the way...but getting up and saying yes to converting our lives...yes to that invitation from God...the struggle is part of the journey and will build up our faith as we reach out to God for help with our weaknesses and we realize we can't do it on our own but only through the grace of God. Thanks for your reply, and you are right. I am not comfortable with medj. But can you see what I am trying to say? I mentioned only today on true/fase prophecies about someone who leads our prayer meeting, he changed to a Catholic because of Vasulla Ryden. He was inspired by her. He believes the messages. There will be some who turned their lives around because of MDM. There are those that believe the messages. Some with Bayside, and there are many more false ones. Yet there are those who believe those messages. Wouldn't it be horrible to encourage someone who is needing direction, to follow something that the Church hasn't approved, then to find out it was a lie? So all I am saying don't you think it is best to sit on the fence of caution here? Just in case.
You realize then that with your own argument, you could not promote Garabandal to anyone, since it is not approved by the church But I would expect you to promote Garabandal to others. It has not been condemned by the church. You believe in it and are inspired by it. It might have helped you change your life. so you should promote it. That is the way it is with Medj for me. And I actually cringed when I saw your post in red font that no one should promote Medj. I have to defend it, as it woke me up and led me back to Jesus and helped me to change my life. After the warning, people will ask me why I changed my life and I will say Medj. We should pray for people following known false apparitions. If we know someone following Bayside or Vasulla Ryden, we should lovingly inform them that the apparitions have been condemned by the church so in order to be in good standing, they need to stop following them. We should caution them on following MDM, since some of her messages go against church teaching and some predictions are already false. But there will always be people who follow false apparitions. We need to correct them, caution them, and pray for them.
This refers to the Anti-Christ who is to come in person towards the end of time and will deceive even the elect. With all due respect Jane you are entitled to your opinion on Medjugorje but this statement is your personal interpretation of Holy Scriptures. I respectfully disagree. You also mention relying only on approved Marian apparitions yet you are saying that you believe in Garabandal. The Church has not approved Garabandal either.
Yeah. I could be wrong on the interpretation on 'even the elect'. I accept that. The antiChrist. I don't know or pretend to know where that evil will comes from, I actually don't connect that to Medj. I haven't really thought about it. Sorry, I didn't make it clear about Garabandal after the warning. I believe we shouldn't talk about an apparition site that hasn't been approved. That includes Garabandal. After the miracle, well that will be different. We will be living in very special times, and I just think we need to be responsible. Does this make sense?
Jane, I am rushing and scanning and responding, the prophet that you speak of is already here, he is an indian looking man and is hiring halls to speak to people, I wish that I had written down his name, my blood turned cold, He has come from (am lousy at guessing Countries people come from) somewhere like India, seems like he has many followers. Speaks of peace, no more guilt etc, other stuff too, his name will come up again and I will post it here.
For sure Jane. There were sufficient true prophets that mentioned the warning in a clear or veiled manner that we don’t need to focus on controversial apparitions to believe it. And by true prophets I mean Saints like Edmund Campion (1540-1581), the Venerable Holzhauser (d. 1658), Elizabeth Canori-Mora (d. 1825), Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (d. 1836), Father Bernard Maria Clausi, O.F.M. and others. St Faustina is an important reference but was not the first that alluded to the warning. There are also some biblical references that may refer to it.
