Josie has decided against the givealittle for now and would like any donations paid into the following account. I send her heartfelt thanks for your offer of help. Joe I have deleted the bank details and address it is seriously not a good idea to post those details on a public forum I have emailed padraig the details so if any forum member wants to ask the details just email padraig thanks John
Thank you John I had concerns about that too but was only following the wishes of Josie and Elise. Perhaps a new thread such as “Mac’s/Luke’s family appeal” advising those who would like to help to pm/email Padraig for the details. Perhaps you could email me your email address before Padraig closes my account. Best wishes Joe
From Josie “Please thank everyone for their prayers and help. I am hoping to take the children to Napier next week, which won't be cheap! I will be hiring a van I think. Anyway, something nice to think about. I have been so busy with Luke my mind is frazzled. God bless”
Padraig, please let the forum know when you have closed my account. Thank you for granting this temporary access.
Consider it done link below http://motheofgod.com/threads/forum-member-mac-family-fund.13000/#post-235815 You know I can't fathom that Luke was close to his 50th year like me I celebrate my 50th on the 26th March hard to imagine Luke was only 9 days older than me
I can't fathom that he was younger than me. His death leaves me questioning so much. I tended to end up at logger heads with him, and was proud enough to think I was right and he was wrong. But the manner of his death and the fact he actually died on my birthday makes me question my views... It feels like Good was doing one of his "just be quiet and listen" signs with the life and death of Luke. So now do I go back over old posts to see where I was in all likelihood, on the wrong track?
Hmm. Interesting thought. Emotions do tend to run high at times, and speaking personally, they can hinder logic and reason getting through. It might be interesting to look over old posts with a new perspective, but I'm going to guess that you're being harder on yourself than you need to be.
Dear Luke, Bless you and may the saints and the angels accompany you into eternal life! RIP...Good and faithful servant.
Ok dear friends, let’s try to help Josie and the children as best we’re able: https://www.gofundme.com/luke-nyssen-funeral-fund Josie is having a hard time. Please keep her in your prayers right now. And as always, the eternal repose of our friend Luke.
https://www.gofundme.com/luke-nyssen-funeral-fund James 2:14-26 Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without a]">[a]your works, and I will show you my faith by b]">[b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is c]">[c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made d]">[d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was e]">[e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Thank you for posting the link to donate to this wonderful family that has been through so much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them as well as a little bit that we can share with them to help financially. Hopefully this will stay open for a bit so that toward the end of the month we can help out a bit more. God bless.
Thankyou Brian. I continue my prayers for Luke but I bet he is with Our Lady! Prayi f for Josie and fa.ily.
