Sorry you feel this way, but there have been several theologians who would disagree with your comment. The critical (typical) edition has been approved - if you check back a few posts you will see my post regarding this. In part it says, "Typical Edition signed a declaration that there were no errors or omission in their translations." Also, the postulator of Luisa's Cause is pushing to get her Beautification by the end of 2019 - praise God! It saddens me that there are people who have most likely not even read the writings who have negative comments regarding Luisa. As far as your comment that the current translations are "problematic", Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi's dissertation on Living in the Divine Will (in English) had the approval if the three theologians at the Gregorian Pontifical University in Rome. As far as yours comment, "better off praying the Rosary, Mass, etc." this is exactly what those who are trying to live in the Divine Will do (and more)". Obedience is the key - and we are obedient to all that Our Lord and Blessed Mother ask of us. God bless you!

Theologians opinions are, sadly, not a guarantee of orthodoxy. (Kasper anyone?)

That theologians approved of heterodox positions should not come as a surprise to anyone paying attention.

My comments are not directed towards the person Luisa, but the English interpretations of her writings being posted online. There are many places where one would have to throw out millennia of Catholic Tradition to agree with some of what is presented. How foolish to do so.

If there is an official English edition out there, could you please provide the link? I have not been able to find anything from my searches for it.

    Dear Frodo,
When I lived in Hanceville, AL near the Monastery and Shrine of Mother Angelica, I was visited by Fr. Bucci who’s Aunt took care of Luisa for many years. Fr. Bucci himself as a young child visited Luisa several times. I was told by him that the best translations into English were done by Marina who lived in Luisa’s area and knew the dialect. These are the translations that I use in my posts, as I was blessed to have all the volumes given to me by someone living there. I previously had been reading and studying all the other volumes that had been translated by various Priests and lay persons, and can tell you that there was not much difference - only in the wording that basically meant the same thing. But, I also eagerly await the critical edition to be published in English, which I will immediately begin studying, but in the meantime, I will continue reading the translations of Marinas. God bless you. Lynne

“…it would happen as the Gospel says: don't give pearls to the pigs, because they don't know what they are, and they would cover them with mud and trample on them. Therefore, it is knowledge that allows creatures to understand where We are, with Whom they live, what they can receive and what they have to do. So, those who do not know are the true blind because they can't see anything, no matter how many goods are placed around them: they are the vagabonds of Creation." July 6, 1938

"Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you." MT 7:6

    Lynnfiat,

I see in the above writings of Lusia, that once again Lusia resorts to judging others who dare question her exceptional holiness or her new revelations for the church!....revelations which advocate fundamental changes to the unchanging Truths, Doctrines, Traditions and Teachings of the Holy Catholic Church: and lusia reduces all who oppose her to.......pigs and dogs!

The saintly Father John Hardon denounced these same published writings of Lusia as heretical ! "the heresy of quiteism"

However, it seems that Lusia was able to cunningly foresee this uncovering of her deceptions, and so she callously decided to name any questioners of her holiness as pigs and dogs!

Can we therefore say that these writings of lusia are of a humble and loving saint? I believe not!

In The Holy Catholic Faith the only reality that matters is the truth!

Truth that was and is revealed, ratified and handed down for over 2 thousand years in Scriptures, Doctrines, Dogmas and Traditions of the Holy Catholic Faith!

Therefore I say........If one questions the extreme verbose and haughty writings of Lusia Piccaretta , one must not be discouraged!

Because you are not a Pig or a Dog!

Do not believe the accusations of lusia piccarretta!, nor believe those that propagandise her erroneous ideas about your pighood and her own sainthood.

You are a good Catholic questioning a profoundly deviant heresy and you are in good company with Farther John Hardon .

    God bless us all. Amen

The above quotes are NOT from Luisa but from Our dear Lord Himself. Luisa felt herself as a nothing, which Jesus actually called her! All the comments regarding Luisa are false. I have already posted regarding Fr. John Hardon, whom I believe had changed his opinion of the writings after a visit to Mother Angelica's Shrine. As far as your comments about "quietism" is concerned, that issue has been resolved by many Priests, Bishops and theologians, so I no longer need to comment regarding this. You only have to look into it.
I no longer wish to defend the writings, so I would advise you to read them yourself and then make your decision. I have read all the volumes several times, and also the Queen book (dictated to Luisa by Our Blessed Mother) and Passion book many times. I know we have gone over this before, but perhaps you do not wish to believe me - Luisa has NEVER said anything about anyone who opposes the writings - which Jesus says are NOT hers, but His, nor has she ever said anything about being above Our Lady. If you would only read the writings!

Jesus: "...knowledge of It (Living in the Divine Will) is like the herald of the gift of my Will which I want to give to the creature. Knowledge prepares the way; knowledge is like the contract I want to make of the gift I want to give; and the more knowledge I send to the soul, the more she is spurred on to desire the gift and to solicit the Divine Writer to place the final signature – that the gift is hers and she possesses it. So, the sign that in these times I want to give this gift of my Will is the knowledge of It." Dec. 25, 1925

Its not Luisa who is being opposed, but Truth, God himself. It is no different than the apostles who were, and their writings were, opposed by those who would not accept truth. One could say they were opposed to the apostles/disciples, but it truly was Christ who they opposed. Same be it for any of us. If I am opposed and scoffed at because of my faith, it is Jesus himself whom they scoff at.

I'm sure the same is being said of the followers of Bayside and MDM.

The issues clearly are not resolved. That's why there is no official English translation. The letters from her own diocese admit the "difficulties" and ask for unofficial translations to not be diseminated.

As for reading the writings, I will when there is an official translation.

Until then not to expect opposition to messages you deem approved but are against the Tradition of the Church on this forum... well, that isn't going to happen, at least from time to time as questionable passages are posted and time permits.

I see. Equating public revelation of Our Lord to (supposed and unapproved) private revelation, even if The Church, who Christ gave the power to loose and bind, does not require us to believe in...

This is how dangerous fringe cults come to be.

I am posting below the rest of the paragraph I posted above from July 6, 1938 to clarify what and who Jesus was speaking of. I should not have taken this out of context without saying all that Jesus said as I can see it has caused negative responses. I sometimes assume people reading this understand what Jesus means, but I can see many do not.
This is what Jesus said prior to the post above:

"..those who live in the immensity of our love, but do not know us, don't feel anything of this. They don't feel our Paternal attentions which press them to our womb. They live inside our sea as if they did not live at all - so unhappy - as if they were not our children. They are like strangers, and since We are not known, We are forced by their ingratitude not to tell them even a word, and to keep repressed inside Our womb the goods which We had to give them. And seeing our poor children dissimilar from us, only because they don't know us, is a suffering for us.

As you can tell, Jesus is NOT speaking of anyone who does not have the knowledge of living in His Divine Will, but for those who do not even do God's Will and live as though they do not know Him.

Luisa has 36 volumes of writings on our Lord and the faith. I have not nearly read 36 volumes, as scholars and learned clergy and laity have done, but enough to see that what she is revealing is not contrary to our Catholic faith or moral teachings. To the contrary her writings defend and and bring much clarity to what our Lord and his Church have given. What is dangerous is doing what scripture warned of and 'despising' prophecy and prophets God has sent his Church to this day. You can speak to MdM and other false messengers, but this does not excuse you for slandering God's true messengers. Everyone will have to answer to God as to supporting or slandering God's messengers.

I am slandering no one. My concerns are on the messages. That strawman won't work here, it's not so.

Neither do I despise prophecy, you know this, we have danced this dance before.

Putting private revelation in the same plane as public revelation is not a Catholic thing to do.

My concerns are with the messages, which the LP's diocese cautions us from using unauthorized English translations. I and many others can see why.

For example, to say that there are three eras: Noah - easily a public covenant and recorded in scripture; Christ - the Messiah; and.... Luisa? Private revelation? I'm sorry, public revelation was complete with the death of the apostles. At least according to the Magesterium and Church Tradition.

This is but one of very many examples of her writings, which is different than the person who I am not slandering, which are contrary to Church teaching and Traditon.

I do not have the time right now, but later today will post what Our Lord says about the three eras and I believe you will then understand. He has told this also to Saints and even Popes have spoken about it - He does not only speak about it through Luisa, but explains it more in detail through her writings. You must believe that the words in her writings come from Jesus and not Luisa. She is but, as he calls her his secretary.

You are a good faithful Catholic Frodo!
    Do not doubt that!

I want to thank you for standing up for the unchanging truths of Our Catholic faith! God bless you!

The truth of Our Catholic faith needs to be defended, at this moment in time, especially now, when we are bombarded by apostasy and heresy at every turn and level that involves catholicism.

Like you I need to read the authentic translations of lusia Picarretta writings......before I draw my final conclusions!
The current English translations of lusia writings [that I have aquired] are in no doubt heretical!

Let us pray that when the true translations of lusia writings become evident, the erroneous and heretical translations of her writings [that we and the world have been subjected to] are once and for all, forever condemned. Amen
