Pope Francis covered up McCarrick abuse, former US nuncio testifies

We called Father Albert G. Roux, national director for the Marian Movement of Priests, for a story we'll be carrying Wednesday on the prophecies of another priest, Italian locutionist Stefano Gobbi (whose literature the Marian Movement distributes), and Father Roux made some remarkable comments. Among them was his speculation about the anti-christ. Father Roux believes the "man of inequity" will enter the scene only after the death of John Paul II.

"The Blessed Mother keeps saying that when the Pope dies the Church will be projected into a dense darkness and it's going to be a great confusion, where people will be dropping out of the Church," said Father Roux of St. Francis, Maine. "There is a man of inequity who is supposed to be entering the Church. To me that is the anti-christ and his false prophet, and my understanding is that the false prophet will be a false pope who will empty the Church of her spirituality and her doctrine, and will create the abomination of desolation by declaring that the Gospels are not historical and that the divinity of Christ is questionable and the Eucharist is just a symbol. Then he's going to raise the anti-christ, which is going to happen before Jesus's return."

Many who follow Father Gobbi believe that such apocalyptic events will conclude by the end of the year, but Father Roux said this is unlikely, since much must occur leading up to it. He said Gobbi's prophecy that the "triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart" would occur by the year 2000 pertained not to apocalyptic events but to completion of the Virgin's spiritual preparation for events that will occur in the future.

For those of you who aren't Catholic or aren't familiar with Father Gobbi, he's a 70-year-old priest from Milan who allegedly began to receive messages from the Virgin Mary in 1972 while praying in the Chapel of the Apparitions at Fatima, Portugal. The spread of his locutions (whereby a voice is heard, as opposed to a full-scale apparition) took the world by storm in the 1980s, with tens of thousands of priests joining what is known as the Marian Movement of Priests. Father Roux is in charge of the American chapter, which has nearly 4,000 clergy and 60,000 lay persons.

In 1996 Father Gobbi announced a message stating that the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart -- which many interpreted as being the end times -- would occur by the end of the millennial year.

The messages have received imprimaturs but not formal Church approval as supernatural events. Like all locutions, there are parts that have been hotly debated, which we'll discuss in the Wednesday article.

"This year the Jubilee Year indulgence seems to be a last opportunity for the great mercy and it's a time of purification," said Father Roux. "The Holy Father seems to be thinking like the messages Our Blessed Mother has been saying to Father Gobbi and he's preparing the Church for that. He is calling us to come back to the sacrament of Confession and the Holy Eucharist that will purify us and make us grow. Our Blessed Mother says that by the end of the Great Jubilee of the year 2000, which to me is Christmas, the triumph will have occurred, but we need to understand what that means. The triumph of Mary in my understanding is that whatever mission was given to her by the Father in the preparation of the people for the coming of Jesus will be practically accomplished, and the mission she has been assigned by the Father was to bring back people to Jesus, especially those who have been baptized, members of His mystical body. The anti-christ can not come on the public scene until John Paul dies. Something is holding the anti-christ from coming out and I believe this is the papacy of John Paul II. John Paul is not afraid of anyone and he would face up to the anti-christ and unmask him publicly and [the anti-christ] would lose his clout. He would be humiliated, and Satan is not about to let this happen, so he's got to wait till John Paul dies for the anti-christ to appear on the public scene."

"It's very close because we know John Paul cannot live much longer," continued Father Roux. "I think the United Nations is preparing for the anti-christ's coming to the public scene. He's going to govern the world through the United Nations. Now is the time that Jesus is separating the goats from the sheep. What He's going to do is send Mary to advise and to send events for us to make decisions when we face them. Either we stand on the right hand of Jesus or the left hand side. When Jesus comes in glory He's going to destroy His enemies and then He's going to recreate the earthly paradise that Adam and Eve had. Those on the right hand side will go into this new promised land."

 

I agree. You said a lot of truth here. He deserves better than he is getting.

 

Read the whole 11 pages of Vigano's letter at Lifesite and you will know just how much the Pope knew. A lot. Everything, I think. I do not want to bring false witness, but Vigano tells us how much the Pope knew. I read the letter this morning. Vigano can be trusted. He prefaced his letter with the statement that he was an old man and he was going to God, and he wanted to be sure he told what he knew before his judgment.

The reasons for Pope BVI’s sanctions would have been fully explained to him by BXVI himself when he gave him the thousands page report on homosexuality in the Church at Castle Gandolfo.

When Vigano warned Francis about McCarrick in 2013, the pope had a duty to all cardinals, bishops, priests and catholic faithful especially the victims past, present and future to make sure the accusations were true or false.

If Vigano was lying and didn't actually say this he would be sentencing himself to eternity in hell. This is the truth.

Immediately after, the Pope asked me in a deceitful way: “What is Cardinal McCarrick like?” I answered him with complete frankness and, if you want, with great naiveté: “Holy Father, I don’t know if you know Cardinal McCarrick, but if you ask the Congregation for Bishops there is a dossier this thick about him. He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance.”

ROME, August 26, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) -- “The corruption and filth which have entered into the life of the Church must be purified at their roots,” said Vatican Cardinal Raymond Burke in response to a LifeSite request for comment on the release of Archbishop Carlo Viganò’s testimony. The 11-page letter issued by the former papal representative in the United States released to LifeSiteNews and a few other outlets is filled with revelations of scandals within the hierarchy.

“The declarations made by a prelate of the authority of Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò must be totally taken to heart by those responsible in the Church,” said Burke. “Each declaration must be subject to investigation, according to the Church’s time-tried procedural law.”

In addition to the main charges that Pope Francis knew of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick’s abuse and nevertheless lifted sanctions that Pope Benedict had secretly imposed on McCarrick, some of the other explosive declarations include:

• Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of State under Pope Benedict XVI, “notoriously favored promoting homosexuals into positions of responsibility.”
• Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the current Secretary of State and thought to be the top contender to replace Francis, “was also complicit in covering up the misdeeds of McCarrick.”
• Cardinal Parolin ordered the reservation of the Diocese of San Diego for the notoriously left-wing Bishop Robert McElroy
• Pope Francis warned Viganò as nuncio that he did not want bishops in the United States like Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput: “They must not be right-wing like the Archbishop of Philadelphia,” he quotes the Pope as telling him.

“After the truth of each declaration has been established, then the appropriate sanctions must be applied both for the healing of the horrible wounds inflicted upon the Church and her members, and for the reparation of the grave scandal caused,” says Cardinal Burke.

Cardinal Burke called on “all good Catholics” to “insist upon knowing the truth” and added that they “must pray and sacrifice for the Church at this tumultous time.”

A purification, he said, “Such purification can only take place with the full and uncompromised respect for the truth.”

 

How much more “evidence” do people need?!?

Good point HH. Sodomy has always been with us, we are warned repeatedly in the Bible what happens when all men stop praying, worshiping God, and harden their hearts. What is unique in regard to Vatican II and in turn this whole situation are the statements of Pope Paul VI made directly after.

I repeat, doubt has entered our conscience. And it entered through the windows that should have been open to the light: science.”

“… It was thought that, after the Council, sunny days would come for the history of the Church. Nevertheless, what came were days of clouds, of storms, of darkness, of searching, of uncertainty … We tried to dig abysses instead of covering them …”

Just a question.....where has Vigano been all these years.....until this new attention by the media begins to alert many who've also known a lot all these years? And where was the real questioning as well as justice for Bertone's strange behavior....until this rather sudden "report"? Remember, Bertone's control over Lucia of Fatima, ordering her silence, and conveniently creating the only "story" permitted to the public re: the Third Secret. Everyone seems to be covering his own________.

Who knows perhaps it was your prayers that tipped the scales against these wicked, wicked people.

 

Won't this reporting on McCarrick and the so called "new wave" of abuse (not) be the perfect set up for excusing new or increasing vandalization of sacred places/altars et al? We've already witnessed the reporting of the attack on a priest by an out of control individual shouting "this is for the children"!! They had better double up on security, esp. of inner city shrines in various places....esp. in those cities that have already had conservative marches or gatherings attacked by Antifa type groups. We need to pray for protection of such places and prevention of great violence.

 

Oh how I would dearly love to know what Cardinals like Burke, Muller and Sarah are thinking. Oh how I would dearly, dearly love to know. But I suppose we will know shortly. I hope some of them show courage to call folks out on this.

I comfort myself by remembering God knows the cross Benedict is carrying. Like JPII before him I suspect he is offering it for the rescue of the Church.
