Maybe it's an act. She could be pitching for a one-on-one with the Pope. Then again, all the theatrics could be a cover for a pre-arranged meeting - rather like the time there was all that whining about the Vatican not hosting the conference because she was the speaker when the conference was actually held on Vatican territory in the Jesuit conference centre. The Jesuits aren't noted for their transparency.
It is so obviously a 666. On the publicity images they have little girls doing the 666 eyes. They speak to each other through symbols and gestures, signalling ' we have this, we have infiltrated' . The 'we' is the secret societies, freemasons, illuminati, call them what you like.
Has anybody watched the Netflix series The Keepers? My friend who is Catholic advised I watch it to get a real glimpse into the American Catholic Clergy Sexual Abuse situation. My husband and I binge watched the first 3. Hair raising. I had nightmares and insomnia all night. I prayed Divine Mercy all night long. Heinous. Sexual deviants. Ruined lives. Murder to cover?
The symbol on the vestments doesn't look like 666 to me. Who drew the red circle around the symbols on the vestments in the video? There's no red circle in the picture SgCatholic posted. The Celtic spiral is very common here. It's part of our heritage and has been used as a decoration by Christians since the early days, much as lattice work is used in other countries. We had a set of cutlery with that design on the handles. It's only in the past few years that the New Age crowd have started using it to promote their brand of paganism. Where did you see those publicity images? I posted a link on the forum a while ago. It was a preparation for Confirmation kind of video but it was all about Pope Francis and no mention of the Holy Spirit.
With everyone baying for his blood, I'm beginning to feel sorry for McCarrick. Maybe it would be better if he could see out his days in a hot country - somewhere like Pakistan or Afghanistan. A beach house in Saudi might be more suitable. And it wouldn't be fair to leave him all alone. He needs someone younger to take care of him. The ideal job for Fr. James Martin. He could set up a Jesuit mission there and bring his special brand of inclusive love to the Muslims.

As I said....this isn't some "new wave" of acts committed....but one would be led to think so by the usual target "reporting" by the media. Yet reading some of the individual accounts of the abuse is sickening nonetheless (as it would be no matter the institution involved)....esp. the Cardinal's and his "connections" that seem to allude to the reason behind the do nothing state of affairs for so long. etoa, I agree that calling the current crisis "a new wave" is not very accurate and I agree with a lot of what Bill Donohue has stated in this article. This particular article from Bill Donohue is not about Cardinal McCarrick but more about what is occurring in PA and Bill Donohue feels that Cardinal Wuerl was a positive force in the investigations of the sexual abuse in the Church, that's not what most others believe. Also, there is evidence of a cover-up of the crimes that Cardinal McCarrick is alleged to have committed and most people are concerned about preventing anything like this from occurring in the future. Imho the current sex abuse scandal crisis in the Church is not about how many priests may have committed these crimes or when they may have committed them but how these allegations were handled by the Church. In addition, as Bill Donohue has stated in this article there is manipulation going on by the media and it is important to note that Cardinal Burke did not use the term "new wave" the reporter who interviewed him asked him about "a new wave of clergy sexual abuse has surfaced..." and it is interesting to note how Cardinal Burke answered the question. Many of Cardinal Burke's statements appear to fit right along with what Bill Donohue has stated in this article. This idea that the conference of bishops should be responsible for addressing this is misguided because the bishops’ conference does not have surveillance over the bishops within the conference. It is the Roman Pontiff, the Holy Father, who has the responsibility to discipline these situations, and it is he who needs to take action following the procedures that are given in the Church’s discipline. This is what will address the situation effectively. Thomas: Your Eminence, the faith of many in the Church, as a holy rather than corrupt institution, has been shaken. People don’t know what to think about their bishops and their priests.
