I sometimes post uncharitable, garbled things about the Holy Father. I shouldn't. I'm blown away that someone with his position, insight, status, and education should be in so much error, and cause so much trouble, but then it occurs to me that he is being used. And he may not realize it. We should pray for Pope Francis. His behavior is maddening and bizarre, but he is still our Pope, and it is still vital, now more than ever, to pray for him. I had a very interesting conversation with a Pentecostal co-worker today. She agrees and can sense that something is coming. Something big. She also seems to have some curious, unique, and real insights, sensitiveness, and strength in Christ. I am always slightly cautious with Pentecostals, as some of what they can come up with can be a bit odd, but this lady seemed genuine, and devout. Everyone seems to be sensing that something is coming. Pray, and get ready.
I agree Gracia, I feel something big comes this way....I am feeling so much spiritual tension. I am awakened at 4am every day to pray a rosary or divine mercy chaplet and then get back to sleep....this is war and we are the instruments of defeating evil. Have you heard about the Nigerian bishop who Jesus appeared to. It's approved. He was holding a sword and said Boka Hiram is gone three times. When he placed the sword in the bishops hands, it turned into the rosary. The bishop knew then what he was called to do. He has his entire diocese reciting the rosary.
I agree with both of you. I think our Rosaries are vital! I expect all these Rosary crusades have been blessed by restricting and in some cases defeating evil—but right now this a fight to the death spiritually, politically, intellectually, morally.... This enemy the prince of this world is as Sister Lucy told Fr Fuentes in a mood to take on the Blessed Mother in all out war. We see it all around us. It is a seemingly terrible time for the Church to be so wounded and so compromised. God has permitted it but it is a hard trial. Nonetheless we must fight. I feel what I would call a great reckoning coming. Sort of a spiritual version of that scene in the movie Tombstone—the shoot out at OK corral. Doc Holiday(who interestingly enough was a Catholic and received the last sacraments before he died) says “this isn’t a showdown, it’s a Reckoning” That movie was a bit allegorical in its portrayal of good against evil. Johnny Ringo claims to have sold his soul to the devil and the Clanton gang was pure evil. Wyatt Earp and his gang were extremely flawed “heroes”—nonetheless they crushed an evil entity and destroyed its reign of terror. Well—this went longer than I intended. But I agree with you the air is roiling with gathering forces. St Michael protect us!!
I wonder how many other churches will follow this one: United Methodist Church of Minnesota Removes ‘Father’ From Apostles’ Creed The UMC of Minnesota has removed the word 'Father' from the historic Apostle's Creed for worship services, sparking outrage from the broader Christian community. The removal is because UMC Minnesota wants to be more tolerant towards transgenderism. […] At the Minnesota Conference, which was held from May 30–June 1, liturgical folders reportedly included a copy of the creed that removed gender-specific language for God, changing “God the Father Almighty” to “God the Creator Almighty” and “Jesus Christ His Only Son” to “Jesus Christ God’s Only Son.” Rev. Keith Mcilwain, the pastor at Slippery Rock United Methodist Church in the Western Pennsylvania Conference, obtained a copy of the edited creed from a friend who attended the Annual Conference. Mcilwain posted an image of the edit to social media. more at the site. Christian Journal
HH check Brian’s post of a tweet by Fr Rosica. We are in deep deep trouble now. We are being pulled by a runaway horse.
Not a horse. It's more a "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" kind of thing. I think someone is messing with the water in the Vatican. Either that or dementia is contagious: https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2018/08...splendor-francis-and-development-of-doctrine/ I suppose it's some consolation that our monks haven't resorted to murder. Lord have mercy on the soul of this poor Coptic Bishop: https://www.catholicworldreport.com...r-suspected-murder-of-coptic-orthodox-bishop/ As if life wasn't hard enough for Christians in Egypt. The report doesn't go into detail about the "inappropriate actions which violate monastic behavior and way of life". Whatever it means, between that and the Bishop's murder, the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt has announced that the monastries will stop accepting seminarians for a year, suspended the ordination of monks for three years, and ordered all monks to shut down their social media accounts.
Today on my iPhone I got to watch this; Beautiful and encouraging. Every one should watch this! Important, too.
The collapse of the bridge in Italy is a real sign of the decline of Europe and crumbling foundations ----
Just a reminder: Valentina, Sydney Seer: 17/06/2018 Events that will soon happen in the World .....He continued, “I have to tell you there will be a very big earthquake. It will be the biggest ever earthquake and it will happen in China. This will happen very, very soon and from now on, until September this year there will be many calamities in the world.”
I'll be honest, but having spent all my life in California (minus a couple of years) the reaction to the wildfires are along the lines of a shrug with "eh, we're on fire again." No one at all has any thought that this might be a sign or punishment from God. Drought and fire are business as usual in California, boring conversation. There is no wake up call regarding this.
