Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich prophecy: “Last night I had a vision of the Pope. I saw St. Francis carrying the church, and the basilica of St. Peter borne on the shoulders of a little man who had something of the Jew in his countenance. It looked very perilous. Mary stood on the north side of the church with her mantle extended over it. The little man was almost bent double. He is, as yet, a laic. I know who he is. The twelve men whom I always see as the twelve new Apostles ought to have helped him, but they arrive too late; however, just as he was about to fall, they all ran up with myriads of angels to his assistance. It was only the pavement and the back part of the church, for all the rest had been demolished by the secret society helped by the servants of the church themselves. They bore it to another place, and it seems as if rows of palaces fell before it like fields of wheat in harvest time. “When I saw St. Peter’s in this ruinous state and so many ecclesiastics laboring, though secretly, at its destruction, I was so overcome that I cried earnestly to Jesus for mercy. Then I saw my Heavenly Spouse (Jesus) before me under the form of a youth. He spoke to me for a long time. He told me that this translation of St. Peter’s signified that the Church would apparently fall to total ruin: but that, resting on these supports, she would be raised up again. Even if there should remain but one Catholic Christian, the Church would again triumph since its foundations were not cast in the intellect or councils of men. She had never yet been without members praying and suffering for her. He showed me all that He Himself had endured for her, what efficacy He had bestowed upon the merits and labors of the martyrs and He ended by saying that He would endure it all over again if it were possible for Him again to suffer. He showed me, also, in numberless pictures, the miserable aims of Christians and ecclesiastics throughout the whole world. The vision grew wider, more extended, until it embraced my own country; and then Jesus exhorted me to perseverance in prayer and expiatory suffering. It was an unspeakably great and sorrowful picture. I cannot describe it!”[clip] And...“Then, I saw that everything that pertained to Protestantism was gradually gaining the upper hand, and the Catholic religion fell into complete decadence. Most priests were lured by the glittering but false knowledge of young school-teachers, and they all contributed to the work of the destruction. “In those days, Faith will fall very low, and it will be preserved in some places only, in a few cottages and in a few families which God has protected from disasters and wars.”[end quote] Here is a little video on the life of Blessed Catheirne. It is in French and is populist sensationalist media type reporting, but still...
Chillingly accurate. The priests 'lured by the glittering but false knowledge of young school teachers' perfectly summarises the phenomenon of so many of them, often good priests otherwise, latching on to every new, politically-correct fad. Environmentalism, unregulated immigration, versions of Teilhardism, mindfulness and all the other nonsense we hear from our priests nowadays.
The Bishops are supported by the prayers of the Faithful. But I would not , under the presnt circumstance trust him as Catholic Leader. Far from it. If on the other hand he publically recanted, then yes that is different. People can always change their ways. I did.
The Church is a bit like this at the minute A very anceint decayed Castle eaten up by termites from within. A crowd stand without making suggestions of how it can be fixed. Most are waht I would call the, 'Catch up crew'. These people know to some extent or other things are not right and need fixed. Some suggest new furniture and a new kitchen. Some , a little more serious suggest a new , 'Face job'. Deocrating, new carpets , new windows. Some more serious again suggest that all the rotten wood be cut out and relaid. But the much smaller group remain silent. The others, the Catch up boys are suprised at this and turn to the silent ones and ask the 10 million dollar question, "Well then how would you fix it?'. One of the group steps forward and gives the answer. 'It is beyond the repair of human hands. It must burn to its foundations and be rebuild on new ones.' I am afraid Bishop Barron and Raymond Arroyo other very, good sincere people have not understood this yet. They are still playing catch up. This can't be fixed and so God is about to watch it burn down to the very sticks. The termites along with it and build anew. Catholic Prophecy clearly indicates this. Catch up just won't do it anymore. It is beyond catch up. It has to come back down right to it's very foundations, the whole cat and kaboodle of it.
In my opinion, Bishop Barron been very soft on the gay issue, which alone is enough for me to distrust him. He was disappointing in his Ruebon Report interview (yes I watched the whole thing not clips). In times like this it is important to come out strong. I also was disappointed in his analysis of the film "Silence" where he basically endorses an apostate priest in Japan. When Amoris Laetitia came out, he praised it and supported it, being very slippery in his explanations (yes - if we are ignorant of the severity of our sin in the confessional, it may loosen our moral culpability, however at that moment the priest is responsible to inform the penitent of the severity of the sin and thus admonish the sinner to sin no more. The sinner at that point has no ignorance excuse). And then, to top things off, he called Martin Luther a "mystic of grace." Whaaa? He does know who Martin Luther is, right?? I'm sorry, but my life on earth is short, and I don't have time to admire wishy washy bishops who like to be popular by trying to play both sides of the field. I need an orthodox, solid Catholic bishop who refuses to back down from the perennial teachings of the faith and who doesn't embrace modernist ideas. To call Martin Luther a "mystic of grace" is horrific and terrifying.
Very revealing. He's trying too hard, perhaps, to evangelise the world on its own terms, too afraid to rock the boat. Even if his decision to take the stance he has is nothing more than an act of self-preservation (and I hope it amounts to more), it might well be an indicator of how the wind is blowing. I think Padraig is right and our only hope is for this foul, putrefying and stinking abscess to be lanced and drained completely.
Yes that's what I was thinking self-preservation. He's probably been button holed by one or two very angry layfolk too many and seeing what way the wind is blowing decided to blow in the same direction.
Thank you AED, but I just tell people that I don't like my Faith watered down with sugar sprinkled on it like junk food. That's what these wishy washy prelates are doing. The people need to suck it up and learn to eat their vegetables, like every good parent tells their children. The children are spoiled because the parents (prelates) decided to stop being a father and wants to be the friend instead. Everyone is sick to death on gmo junk food so to speak, and can't stomach the Teachings of the Church as they've been for 2000 years, or until the "spin" of the last century. We're sick and dying spiritually, and we need good, wholesome food to get well again. The palates aren't used to it, but like any detox after awhile even the teachings that taste the most bitter will begin to taste sweet.
I was very sleepless last night until very late and was praying and thinking of the Church concerned when these words of St Paul came into my mind and consoled me greatly.:
Inall these things we are more than conquerors...”I can do all things in Him Who strengthens me.” Very comforting.
