Pro Life

I have recently been approached as a possible Pro Life Pro Christian values candidate, to my great surpise in the next elctions in this part of the world. I believe they are setting up a pro Values kinda party.

Anywway Ic an't say I am fulll of enthusiasm as I was kinda looking forward to getting my feet up and retiring. But if God will s it I will have a go of course. Any prayerful advise is very welcome. I must admit I have eben inclined to regard politics and politicians with huge cynicism. But we are in a bad way at the moemt.

Anyway prayers asked for, any advice welcome. Apparently money is not a problem, so that's something, I think I am being bank rolled.

Sigh. I'd rather have gone fishing.

 

This is just my opinion (and maybe I am wrong) but it seems to me that when these types of things are presented to us there is a reason. Nothing is an accident. The reason may also not be what we are expecting, for example you could agree to do it and the whole thing could be a fiasco, but you may meet someone while doing it that turns out to be very important for you and your mission in life. I'm not saying that you need to do it, but take it seriously to prayer, look into the organization and make sure they are upstanding, etc.

At this pivotal moment in history I think things like the luxury of retirement may not be something that the small faithful remnant can afford to do anymore. The world is very dark right now and getting dimmer by the day. You have been given more power than the rest of us here Padraig and with a greater level of power comes a greater level of responsibility. That's just my initial thought on the matter, feel free to discard it if it doesn't sit right.

Well I can't see you joining the DUP Padraig so maybe its worth more discussion, even if its just to help out or advise them, they are trying to do something very brave and important. Politics still has power and if we don't help out the other side gets all the power.

I am pretty sure God has drawn me to pro life groups down here and closer to politics recently.

 

If He has called you, you must go, Padraig, no matter how you feel or what you wish for.

But only if it is He who is calling.

Thank you for your prayers. I think I will leave it until after I go away camping. I have asked Our Lady for a Sign. This may be a bit cheeky but it is such a big thing to do I would like a Sign.

One good sign in discerment is if we have a natural aversion to such things. This is a paradox but at leasy it shows we have no natural lust for something.

I am sure , all things being equal Our Lady and Jesus would rather have stayed in Nazareth and not wandering around the country.

 

I think in life it is all about doing God's Will. In a way that is the easy part. Finding God's Will is maybe not so easy.

So I have asked Our LAdy for a Sign. I usually get these in dreams So I am going away camping in a couple of weeks so I will devote prayer to this. Scripture is just fill of teaching dreams.

 

I ahve become so cynical about those who seek power. Even in the Church itself. But if you see a garden desolate you have two choices , either to plant a few seeds or to walk away or give up. I will wait for Our LAdy to let me know . She has never put me worng in the past. There is no hurry.

 

Well I see Ian Paisley Junior is going to get his greedy ass kicked out in North Antrim for being a great crook. There will be a by election so.....but I'll not get caught up in it till I get the nod from heaven, one way or the other...

Hmmm...I don’t have any good advice one way or another Padraig. I kinda gave up on politics when Obama got re-elected, but the whole Trump phenomenon has reenergized many of us.

I’ll recommend to you the penance my spiritual director gave me in Confession yesterday. Read 1 Kings 19 and reflect on it and see if it says anything to you towards the present situation.

You certainly fit the bill for the role that you describe in you initial post. What I would be praying about is that you don't end up punching the daylights out of some of the Soros funded brainless gits you would no doubt have to encounter....that is when you would most need the serious help of the Holy Spirit. And of course you being a special son of Blessed Mother, she would be your anchor in all your activities. God bless and keep you whatever you decide to do.
