No Fatima, the Church has already spoken:

    http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/p123a11.htm

"1001 When? Definitively "at the last day," "at the end of the world."557 Indeed, the resurrection of the dead is closely associated with Christ's Parousia

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.558"

    Here is your proof.

The understanding cannot be difintively, and then become optional. This is not development.

The CCC has told us when. The case is closed. There is no development possible here, the Church, based on scripture itself, has told us when. There are many, many other church fathers and councils who repeat the same. To say otherwise is folly.

Futhermore, if what you say is true, how on earth will Satan attack the immortal Church? What sense does that make?

This matter, I'm afraid, is not up for debate.

Also, the other points still stand.

This entire phenomenon reminds me deeply of a trend some twenty years back, of authors publishing spiritual books allegedly dictated as God spoke to them. Often through something like automatic writing. These books were extremely popular, tended to promote a false unity around respect and theism, described Jesus as a good man but not necessary, and made the best sellers' lists.

It is easy for demons to sound like God. What do you think Islam is? Be very, very careful. Even messages from Satan can make people feel uplifted and closer to God. Any sincere person can be deceived and be used to deceive others. Satan is smarter than us. But not smarter than the Church. Often tiny, tiny lies are tucked into thousands of pages of good stuff. Satan is an awesome preacher. Be aware.

garcia, if you want any credibility to your claim, please address the messages from the book GSWYL that you have a problem with that promotes "a false unity". This I give Frodo credit for. He had a problem with reading about "glorified bodies" in a message, which on the surface had a point that the church teaches that all the saints in heaven will have a glorified body after the general judgement, but as I explained it does not teach that this is the only time this can happen. We already know that Mary has a glorified body in heaven and we know that Adam and Eve had glorified bodies on earth, while living in the Divine Will, until the fall. The Church is open to understanding that it is possible to believe that in the era of the Divine Will, those saints who were slain during the great persecution of the Antichrist will return with glorified bodies to evangelize the world as Revelations 20:4 indicates... [4] And I saw seats; and they sat upon them; and judgment was given unto them; and the souls of them that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and who had not adored the beast nor his image, nor received his character on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] The rest of the dead lived not, till the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. We see from scripture that they indeed return with Christ for 1000 years during the era of peace.

I am not making a claim, I am just making a comparison. This phenomenon reminds me very much of the "Books by God" trend that took hold about 20-25 years ago. Again, if someone authors a book claiming himself to be a prophet or in communion with God directly, who fact checks that? The Church in our case. Has GSWYL been submitted to the Church for formal theological and factual scrutiny? I am not asking if some priests or bishops thought it good. Or even endorse it. I am asking whether or not this text, written as though God is speaking, and directed at a wider audience than just the alleged seer, has been formally handed over to the Church for formal review and judgement before being distributed? And made available via the internet?

garcia, I have already spoken to this on this thread. No sense in repeating the same answer over and again when one can scroll back if they desire.

  8. Very misleading. For those who are sincerely His followers, without the ego involved or attachments to things falsely given, God would always protect from such continuing deception. Many seers have experienced such encounters with Satan and became rather mesmerized in the moment but this did not continue any further than the experience given in order for the individual to understand better that dimension of the spiritual.

Even messages from Satan can make people feel uplifted and closer to God.

Then that person is already either possessed or has allowed him/herself to become afflicted in some serious way by the evil one by conscious decisions already made up to this point. Or permitted to experience such encounters with Satan for the purpose of their mission but always "rescued" by the heavenly One in order to prepare them for that greater understanding of their mission.

Terms need to be defined....as they have been by the experts...like "automatic writing" when there are recorded histories of those holy ones who have had their own hands (or even bodies) used for the purpose of the One to Whom they are surrendered. Those with the gift of bi-location for instance are unaware of actually being in those two places at once while they live within a kind of a trance during that time. They are later told by others of being witnessed as being elsewhere while living in their usual place of residence. They don't explain it unless specifically ordered to or in order to ease the experience of the one visited....and that only to that person. There is soooo much that we mere defective mortals do not understand and therefore are ill equipped to make bold statements or judgements about such things but should rather defer to those with years of experience within the realm/dimension of the mystical. That is why when certain Church recognized experts in these realms of the mystical, private revelations, possession defend certain seers or those visited in other ways through their own encounters with the individuals, or reading what cannot come from such individuals themselves due to the expertise contained within their written messages that goes far beyond their own personal abilities or understanding, ought to be the ones sought out for discernment of such. And they shouldn't be dismissed as just "holy persons who are not worthy to stand for the Church" when the Church herself as deferred to such for its own decisions and proper discernment ....esp. from afar. This is how unknown persons desirous of being recognized as disciples of Christ and worthy of preaching about Him were chosen as authentic holy individuals by those already within the start up Church. When such experts speak positively of such rather unknown individuals or those "not members of their group" they ought to be listened to with attention. Jesus Himself admonished His own for doing just that....when an "outsider" spoke favorably of the same things they were still learning of themselves.

What is the First Resurrection that St. John speaks of in the Apocalypse?

Revelations 20: [1] And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. [3] And he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should no more seduce the nations, till the thousand years be finished. And after that, he must be loosed a little time.

    1. We know from this that Satan, along with the Beast (the Antichrist) and the False Prophet are all thrown into hell for 1000 years after the tribulation. (Rev 20:1-2). The Antichrist and False Prophet are not released from hell again.
    2. We know that those saints who had been martyred for giving witness to the word of God during this era of the Antichrist were judged and these saints had not adored the Antichrist, nor taken his mark of the Beast and they returned and lived with Christ Jesus for 1000 years. (Rev 20:4)
    3. We know this will be the first resurrection. (Rev20:5)
    4. We know from St. John that the "rest of the dead" (who were not martyred) did not rise until after the final coming of Jesus after the 1000 year era of peace. (Rev 20:5)
    5. We know from many messengers of God that this 1000 year era of peace is a period when Jesus returns, not in the flesh, but in a most powerful exposition within the Blessed Sacrament, called the Eucharistic Reign of Jesus. (Refer to Father Gobbi's blue book with double imprimatur on this).
    6. Why would the saints martyred during the era of the Antichrist, in the first resurrection, return with Jesus in the flesh? These saints who had just been judged and thus the second death has no power over them? What are they going to do? Scripture gives no indication, but prophecy in the book God Speaks Will You listen does.

GSWYL 10-23-07 My saints will be resurrected and receive glorified bodies and walk among my people, teaching and instructing the Catholic faith. This has been described as the temporal kingdom by the Church Fathers. This will be the Promised Land my children of Israel will inherit. My Will will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

GSWYL 10-5-07 My son, I give you a private prophecy. Share it at my leading. The Antichrist is rising to power as I speak to you. He is hidden until revealed according to my Father’s will. Many natural disasters have and will continue to occur. Then you will experience the Warning. After the Warning, rejecting my mercy will cause you to take the mark of the beast. You will then experience the abomination of desolation and a fierce persecution of my faithful Catholics by: lukewarm Catholics, Protestants who are apostate, and the followers of the Antichrist. After my two witnesses battle the forces of Satan, you will see my two witnesses killed and taken up into heaven. Woe to those who are alive during those days. Without my mercy, no flesh would survive. My Father’s wrath will be unleashed on the ungodly and sinner. I will then, with the brightness of my coming, cast Satan the Antichrist and his followers into hell forever (Rev 20:1-4). As a result, the world will experience 3 days of darkness and my creation purified of evil. Nature and my people will be healed. Then my son, the era of peace will take place where my faithful will be resurrected (Rev: 20-4) and rewarded in the first resurrection (Rev:20-5). My faithful will receive glorified bodies. Those who survive the days of tribulation will be able to live out their lives in peace. Once this era of peace is over, Satan will attack my New Jerusalem, the church, as the Prince of Gog inEzekiel 38, 39. The length of time of the era of peace has not been revealed to mankind.

We can now understand using scripture and prophecy that these martyred saints who return with Christ Jesus have receive glorified bodies and will teach those who persevered during the reign of the Antichrist and they will instruct the faithful in Catholic teaching for 1000 years (figurative time period).

Revelations 20: [6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. In these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ; and shall reign with him a thousand years. [7] And when the thousand years shall be finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go forth, and seduce the nations, which are over the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, and shall gather them together to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. [8] And they came upon the breadth of the earth, and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. [9] And there came down fire from God out of heaven, and devoured them; and the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and brimstone, where both the beast [10] And the false prophet shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Here we see within scripture that Satan, after being released back to earth one more time, after the 1000 year era of peace is over, is defeated by God and thrown back into hell with the Antichrist and False Prophet to be tormented for all eternity.

God's final words to Verne on this period www.godspeakswillyoulisten.org 10-5-07 Time will be no more, as you know it. The final act of Satan will bring about the end of human history. I will return in the flesh to bring judgment on mankind. I will separate the sheep from the goats. The righteous will inherit eternal life with glorified bodies, and the sinners will be cast into the pool of fire with Satan forever. Purgatory will be emptied at the last judgment. This is a brief outline of events to give you hope and trust in your Savior. The time for the events to begin is now in your human time, not years in the future. Trust in me, my son, and I will bring you to the times of refreshment. Finally, the next several years will be difficult financially and spiritually for you, my son and my remnant, if you do not completely trust in me. This message is from Jesus to my son who has been faithful in a few things. Keep a copy of this message with you and watch as the events take place. Praise my Father, myself, and the Holy Spirit, for revealing these truths to you. For you have been blessed by the Lord. Amen.

  10. All footnoted, btw:

    First Resurrection

St. John's Revelation speaks of a first resurrection of those who had been beheaded during the reign of Antichrist. These came back to life and reigned for a thousand years, or for a Day during the "millenary interspace": "Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over these; they will be priests of God and of Christ and they will reign with him for a thousand years" (Rv. 20:6). The Apostolic Tradition bears witness to these "priests of God" who experience a first resurrection.

"But I and every other orthodox Christian feel certain that there will be a resurrection of the flesh, followed by a thousand years in the rebuilt, embellished, and enlarged city of Jerusalem, as was announced by the Prophets Ezekiel, Isaias and others" (Dialogue with Trypho, Ibid.)

"The Lord Himself says, 'As Jonah remained three days and three nights in the whale's belly, so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth.... If, then, the Lord observed the law of the dead.... how must these men be put to confusion, who allege that... [at the Millennium] the inner man, leaving the body here, ascends into the super celestial place?... It is manifest that the souls of his disciples also, upon whose account the Lord underwent these things, shall go away into the invisible place allotted to them by God, and there remain until the [first resurrection, awaiting that event, and rising in their entirety, that is, in their entirety just as the Lord arose [with a glorified, spiritual body with which he passed through the cenacle doors], they shall come into the presence of God... For the new flesh which rises up again is the same which receives the new cup" [cf. Mt. 26:27] (Adversus Haereses, Ibid., Bk. 31, Ch 1-2; 33,1).

N.B. Whenever the word "presence" is mentioned by Father Irenaeus, it is meant to convey not an earthly reign of Christ in the flesh, but a reign of his physical presence in the Eucharist reverenced and worshiped by those who have risen.

"So, the blessing foretold undoubtedly refers to the time of His Kingdom, when the just will rule on rising from the dead" ( Adversus Haereses, Ibid.)

"We say that this city has been provided by God for receiving the saints on their resurrection, and refreshing them with the abundance of all really spiritual blessings.... We do confess that a kingdom is promised to us upon the earth, although before heaven, only in another state of existence; inasmuch as it will be after the resurrection for a thousand years in the divinely-built city of Jerusalem..." (Adversus Marcion, Ibid.).

"But He, when He shall have destroyed unrighteousness, and executed His great judgment, and shall have recalled to life the righteous, who have lived from the beginning, will be engaged among men a thousand years, and will rule them with most just command... Then they who shall be alive in their bodies shall not die" (The Divine Institutes, Ibid.).

N.B. As mentioned earlier, Christ will be engaged among men in the Eucharist, not in the flesh.

And last but not least, to give impetus to this doctrine of the first resurrection, the ordinary Magisterium states that "all the just who live during this time have a first resurrection..." (The Faith Explained, Ibid.).

"Some Catholic Scholars believe that the 'thousand years' is a figure of speech for a long period of time before the end of the world, when the Church will enjoy a great peace and Christ will reign over the souls of men. All the just who live during this time have a first resurrection..." (Ibid.).

"They [those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus] came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years... This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over these..." (Rv. 20:4-6).

    Characteristics of the Temporal Kingdom:

........The coming of Christ in the second Advent.... is the consummation of all things, the end of human history. If before that final end there is to be a period, more or less prolonged, of triumphant sanctity, such a result will be brought about, not by the apparition of the Person of Christ in Majesty but by the operation of those powers of sanctification which are now at work, the Holy Ghost and the Sacraments of the Church" (The Teaching of the Catholic Church: A summary of Catholic Docrine, Ibid.).

(How the Holy Spirit is to "Renew the face of the earth")

    Increased Light

"He will change the sun and the moon and the stars" (Letter of Barnabas, Ibid.).

"The sun will become seven times brighter than it is now" (The Divine Institutes, Ibid.).

"The light of the moon will be like that of the sun and the light of the sun will be seven times greater..." (Is. 30:26)

"I will turn darkness into light before them" (Is. 42:16).

"From one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind shall come to worship before me, says the Lord" (Is.66:23).

"Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father, Whoever has ears ought to hear" (Mt. 13:43).

    Like Eden

"Her deserts he shall make like Eden, her wasteland like the garden of the Lord" (Is. 5:3).

"'This desolate land has been made into a garden of Eden', they shall say" (Ez.36:35).

Saint Faustina is a really good, fairly recent example of an individual's private revelations being subject to scrutiny first by priests, then by the Church, formally, and after decades approved by the Church even after being suppressed for a time. It was a process which took decades, and finally happened, the right way.

I am in a world, a very Protestant world, where there is pretty much zero fact checking on alleged Ministries, calls to prophethood, acts of the Holy Spirit, visions, books, etc. Concerned Protestants who sense that there might be something whacked about a certain speaker or message have only their gut, and Scripture to refer to, which, sadly, the whacked guy also quotes copiously and horribly out of context, but hey, who's gonna listen to a no-name, wise, discerning preacher when they can listen to the guy on TV? It is a mess. A crazy, schizophrenic mess.

God speaks to everyone and audibly, too. Jesus told one woman to leave her husband and get remarried. She "knows her Shepherd's voice". Never mind what the Shepherd actually said about divorce and remarriage in Scripture, she heard a voice. God help anyone who argues against a voice. I am noticing a recent trend within Catholicism, especially as the internet becomes a main hub for publishing and advertising messages, to almost behave like these Protestants. It's a terrible idea. It's seriously a terrible idea. The Catholic Church has a beautiful, awesome, deeply enviable and God-given way of figuring this stuff out. I'm not saying don't be hopeful. And I'm not saying clam up if you feel you've found a gem. But the gem could be gravel. And our gut feelings about stuff like this can be dead wrong, too.

SO well said! I saw this among Protestant friends. One girl did leave her husband for another man because the spirit showed her it was God’s will. ??!!?
Our one safety is the charism given to the official Church to discern “messages” and apparitions. Bishops in their own diocese have this charism—whether you like or approve of the Bishop. This is a hard pill for some to swallow when they get attached to a visionary. Otherwise very good Catholics I’ve known have fixated on messages and seers that are condemned and excuse it because they don’t like the Bishop.

    Gracia,
One of Padro Pio's prayers says it all I believe.
it is called 'Stay with me Jesus'

It is a humble prayer and all we need to know and do is contained within.
Say it after Holy Communion and after spiritual Holy communion.

God uses us in our weakness and He loves us always, so do not fear, always pray, hope and don't worry. All heresy is eventually exposed and that normally happens after much suffering on the cross. It's the way of the cross.

    Stay with me Jesus

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You.

Stay with me Lord, because I am weak, and I need Your strength, so that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am without fervor.

Stay with me Lord, for You are my light, and without you, I am in darkness.

Stay with me Lord, to show me Your will.

Stay with me Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with me Lord, for I desire to love you very much, and always be in Your Company.

Stay with me Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.

Stay with me Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of Love.

Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late, and the day is coming to a close, and life passes, death, judgment, eternity approach. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You. It is getting late and death approaches. I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile.

Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its dangers, I need You.

Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.

Stay with me Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to you, if not by Communion, at least by grace and love.

Stay with me Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation because I do not merit it, but the gift of Your presence, oh yes, I ask this of You.

Stay with me Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more.

With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.

CCC #671 Though already present in his Church, Christ's reign is nevertheless yet to be fulfilled "with power and great glory" by the King's return to earth. This reign is still under attack by the evil powers, even though they have been defeated definitively by Christ's Passover. Until everything is subject to him, "until there be realized new heavens and a new earth in which justice dwells, the pilgrim Church, in her sacraments and institutions, which belong to this present age, carries the mark of this world which will pass, and she herself takes her place among the creatures which groan and travail yet and await the revelation of the sons of God." That is why Christians pray, above all in the Eucharist, to hasten Christ's return by saying to him: Marana tha! "Our Lord, come!"

garcia, you apparently live in a different world then others. Others who have received through the sacrament of Confirmation the gift of the Holy Spirit. A gift of discernment, from the Holy Spirit, of what is true and not true, based on scripture and church teaching. What earthangles, Lynnfiat and myself have just posted is all based on scripture, and church teaching from the Catholic Catechism and from the early church fathers. If you feel you cannot discern with the light of this truth and the light of the Holy Spirit then begin to pray and trust, as the Holy Spirit does not deceive when what has been revealed is there for us to believe. As far as Verne's message I posted, on the glorified bodies returning, it is based on all three of the benchmarks I have just provided. If you want to argue with this, you have to argue with God's word, because it tells us that the saints that were martyred will rise and return with Jesus at his second coming. Why will they return with Jesus? It is highly probable they return as Verne's prophecy states, to teach and preach to the faithful who lived through the reign of the Antichrist and False Prophet. Many of them having just come into the truths of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic faith via the Warning, accepting God's great gift of Mercy, but lack knowledge of the Catholic faith Christ left his Church. If you can think of a more probable reason these martyred saints return, in the long era of peace, with our Eucharistic Lord, please let us hear it. But don't dismiss scripture's clear teachings because you think you did not receive through the Holy Spirit at Confirmation the gift of discernment. The Church surely does not close its mind to this high probability, but it has not spoken explicitly on why the saints return with Jesus (Rev 20:5), because she can't at this point. It is not "feelings" as you say, but enlightened understanding by using our sacramental graces from the Holy Spirit, prayer, study, scripture, church teachings and prophecy.

AED, I will pray for you that you may discern the difference between the heresies the protestant faith teaches and what our holy Catholic faith teaches. Nothing I or others have said is contrary to our Catholic faith. If you believe it to be then post what what specifically we have said that is protestant belief to justify your claims. Our faith is not in our Bishops as you say. It is in scripture, church teachings and in the gifts received at Confirmation for discernment. If Bishops provide Imprimatur it is only a reaffirmation of what is taught by the Church explicitly. Many things are not taught by the Church explicitly, but implicitly, because they are still pending fulfillment. This is why the Church allows its faithful to believe in good faith what has been taught that is not outside the faith, such as Garabandal, Medjugorje and yes, even prophecy that is not contrary to scripture or church teaching. Scripture tells us, "do not stifle" the Holy Spirit.

Saying there will be a resurrection of the dead before the Last Day is against Catholic theology. It is adding/correcting something to the Faith that has already been "definitively" been determined. No Catholic can do this!

"Throughout the ages, there have been so-called ‘private’ revelations, some of which have been recognized by the authority of the Church. They do not belong, however, to the deposit of faith. It is not their role to improve or complete Christ’s definitive revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history. Guided by the magisterium of the Church, the sensus fidelium[collective sense of the faithful] knows how to discern and welcome in these revelations whatever constitutes an authentic call of Christ or his saints to the Church. Christian faith cannot accept ‘revelations’ that claim to surpass or correct the revelation of which Christ is the fulfillment, as is the case in certain non-Christian religions and also in certain recent sects which base themselves on such ‘revelations’" (Catechism of the Catholic Church 67).

  19. Then you've allowed yourself to miss out on a lot of scripture since scripture itself....as quoted above with footnotes.... DOES speak to this first resurrection of the saints. And therefore it is also Church teaching. Just what minimalist teachers and Protestant influences have to listened to instead. We have been nowhere catechized to any full extent compared to the saints of old and now we're in such a state of fear and confusion that we pass on our own limited knowledge to others and even insist upon this error!

This is from the Church Fathers in their rebuke of an early heresy and to explain fully the scriptural teachings of Matthew:

    And.....

"They [those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus] came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years... This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over these..." (Rv. 20:4-6).

Now again, one can remain averse even to the teachings of the Church Fathers on this question and insist upon one's own learned errors since that is what is now the very oxygen of teachings these days and which makes one feel secure, but one remains in that realm to which St. Paul referred to as only capable of receiving "pablum" since they were not ready to accept the fuller understanding of the teachings of Christ that were to be more fully explained in the future via the Holy Spirit. It would seem then, by what is evident within the explanations of scripture itself and the teaching authority of the Church Fathers, that what was gratuitously given to Verne re: the first resurrection of the saints with glorified bodies (they had already undergone the test and experienced death) during this sanctified period of time before the very end of the world matches what scripture (including Revelation) and what has been taught by the Church. This could be that he was not fixed in the limited understanding and therefore more open to receive such understanding as told to him....as perhaps a child.

I admit to an understanding of those who fear this learning that calls one outside one's comfort zone....it takes time and a bit of that "fear and trembling" experienced within to go forward into the fullness but it is nothing short of what the saints were called upon themselves and who were surrendered to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to get beyond their fears. And of course we know that many of those saints, for doing such, and giving that fuller understanding to the world publicly, were counted as heretics of their times and punished terribly for it.

earthtoangels, makes some very good points above. This is why those who presume to know prophecy and what is and is not Catholic and are willing to come on to threads with all kinds of fabricated ideas and accusations about what is true and what is not, as related to prophecy, should rather come on to ask questions and have a respectful dialog and not make up in their own limited understanding what is true and what is not. It is easy to come on this forum and spew disgust towards Verne's messages in GSWYL, but one thing is apparent, those who do will rarely speak to the actual messages, rather call them heresy, or protestant or any other name they can think of to slam and stifle what they do not understand. Like earthtoangels said, St. Paul calls this pablum, because they refuse to understand what God desires us to know.

I am all for dialog and learning myself what is not clear to me, but not the naysayers who come on with accusations that they cannot and won't defend after the have been shown to be in error themselves. The one person who came on to discuss a message he did not agree with on "glorified bodies" returning to earth with Christ in his second coming received in reply and with charity, plenty of scripture, writings of the church fathers and church teaching to clarify his confusion on this issue. This is the dialog I believe God would respect. This is what the forum should encourage.
