Don, I saw a brief statement from President Trump in regards to the expected election of AMLO, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, and he already reached out to him to have a meeting, etc. I believe that the good news is that AMLO is both anti-gay and anti-abortion and he won by a landslide as predicted. Thankfully, this President Elect appears to have more in common with President Trump than the current President Enrique Peña Nieto. I suppose that the bad news is that AMLO's party is officially a socialist party and Nieto's was not although Nieto's party was still a full member of the Socialist International. I can't pretend to have a full understanding of the politics in Mexico, so if someone here does have a better understanding please feel free to correct me on any of this. Israel’s bombing attack on Syria that took place one day after the reports of the alleged chemical weapon incident, deliberately targeted Iranians, killing 7 at a military base near Damascus. Iran has promised to respond, guaranteeing that the conflict will expand and draw in both regional and foreign players, definitely including the United States. More recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the U.S., the U.K, and France for bombing Syria, an operation that was coordinated in advance with Israel by National Security Advisor John Bolton. Netanyahu went on to assert that Syrian president Bashar al-Assad must understand that “his provision of a forward base for Iran and its proxies endangers Syria,” an analysis of the situation which is, of course, self-serving bull#$%! Unfortunately, Israel has a receptive quasi-American audience in the team that Donald Trump has pulled together under his son in law Jared Kushner to deal with the Middle East. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who is supposed to represent U.S. interests, has become adept at repeating Israeli Foreign Ministry talking points as if they were American policy, while Chief Negotiator Jason Greenblatt has warned demonstrating Gazans to avoid provoking Israel while also failing to advise the Israeli Army that shooting unarmed protesters just might be considered unacceptable. Kushner-Friedman-Greenblatt is an Israeli dream team in place, backed up by as subservient Congress that reflexively does whatever Israel wishes... Media coverage of Syria, apart from Carlson, scrupulously avoids the issue that the United States is in Syria completely illegally and has been cynically supporting terrorist groups in spite of its pledge that it is in the country to get rid of such vermin. It is a measure of how divorced from actual U.S. security America’s Syria policy has become that the White House has not hesitated to launch a second illegal cruise missile barrage against a government that hasn’t attacked the U.S. and doesn’t threaten Americans. Bombing the Syrian government hasn’t made the U.S. or any other country more secure, and it will likely weaken President Bashar al-Assad just enough to prolong Syria’s civil war and add to the suffering of the civilian population. It is a perfect example of a military intervention that is being done for political reasons with no connection to any discernible interests or overall strategy. Pollsters attributed the rise to the strong economy and that a whopping 75 percent approved of the president’s decision to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. Finally, a Pew finding about Trump supporters upends stereotypes: Just 31 percent are white men without college degrees, while 66 percent are college graduates, women or nonwhites. Millennials are growing up, getting jobs and paying taxes. They are still turned off by the Republican Party (as are Trump supporters). They are stubbornly unwilling to give President Trump personal credit. But they recognize his pro-growth agenda is a good thing, and they don’t want Pelosi to wreck the economy. Millennials are telling Reuter/Ipsos pollsters that they are going to vote Republican in the mid-terms. In 2016, white millennials supported Democrats for Congress by a whopping 47 to 33 percent. No more. Millennial support for Democrats has fallen by almost 10 percent. If sustained, this is seriously bad news for Democrats. For the first time, millennials will be the largest eligible voting bloc surpassing baby boomers come November. Historically Democrats have relied on the youth vote to carry them over the finish line. This new polling suggests a blue wave may be less likely than previously thought. Racial appeals are at long last getting old. Race-baiting is less effective delivered by Maxine Waters than by the nation’s first black president. A redpill video by a young black woman named Candace Owens, praised by Kanye West, is credited with creating a fateful first chink in the black voting bloc. Following Kanye’s tweet, President Trump’s approval among black men doubled, to 22 percent, and among all blacks, to over 16 percent. This is bigger than Kanye. Trump promised blacks that if they gave him a chance, they would see real economic progress and he has delivered, big time. Blacks are working more than ever, many at better jobs. They like it -- and have been voting differently in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. According to a June Rasmussen poll, twice as many black voters will now admit they are better off under President Trump. Unbelievably, thanks to an honest gay man’s viral video, #WalkAway, we are hearing from the ultimate Democrat stronghold, the LGBQT community. It turns out white gay men are not appreciating the blatant anti-white and anti-gender hate speech of the new Democrat left. “They’ll come for me, and then they’ll come for you,” Straka tells his listeners. He shows a handout about the “privilege hierarchy’: white gay men are near the top of the privileged bad guys list. They get less victim points than white women, black women, trans and non-genders. Most gay men are quite successful financially. Democrat’s ginning up rage against successful white men is a turn-off. But it is more than that. One gay man declares that before being gay, he’s a patriotic American. He appreciated President Trump’s Muslim travel ban, as a rational security measure. The two parties’ reaction to the Orlando massacre changed everything for him. “Trump said he was going to protect gay men, and he did, [with] the travel ban. Hillary was telling Americans not to ‘pick on all Muslims because of this,’” and that did not feel like protection, Roberts says. “I swear to God, wanted to throw my shoe through the TV. “At that point I was like, I can’t do it anymore. I really can’t. (snip) His assessment of the Democrats: “From immigration to everything, they are just a disaster. “They’re anti-American, anti-common sense, rational -- anything good, they’re against it.” We have seen astroturf movements, like Occupy Wall Street and the anti-gun children’s crusade. They soon fizzle away. The #WalkAway movement feels more like the Tea Party. It is based on people’s gut reality. The voices are not echoing talking points, they are from the heart, and carry a lot of power. The Tea Party stayed within the GOP and morphed into the Freedom Caucus. #Walkaway are lifelong Democrats totally leaving the blue tribe. Conservatives have been watching the anti-Trump hysteria with growing revulsion. In one corner, President Trump, delivering the goods on jobs, national, and personal security. After being well ahead in the generic congressional polls, those numbers collapsed early this year along with the Trump/Russia/Collusion narrative. Since then, leftists have been flailing around desperately searching for an issue. The first act was stripping Second Amendment rights after the Parkland mass shooting, starring soy boy Camera Hogg; Democrats, infamous for short, childlike memories, obviously forgot that this issue might have cost Al Gore the 2000 election. And gun grabbing doesn’t poll any better today. The second act is the treatment of those invading our country (a.k.a. illegal migrants), starring a hapless little Honduran girl used as a human prop by Time magazine (never mind that her father has a good job back home as a boat captain). Now, related to this, Democrats have a new issue: abolishing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. A week ago this was recognized as a fringe idea even among staunch Democrats, the fringiest fringe around, but then something happened: One Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shocked the Democrat establishment by defeating the favored 20-year incumbent, House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.), in last Tuesday’s Democrat primary in New York’s 14th district. She ran, in part, on abolishing ICE, so now this has become the “[n]ew rallying call for 2020 Democrats,” as the AP put it. Now, I really shouldn’t say this — I mean, I really shouldn’t. I want nothing more than for the Democrats to continue marching toward their cliff, but, alas, honest commentary is my bag. And here’s reality: If you leftists think avowed socialist Cortez’s win had mainly to do with abolishing ICE, you’re putting your electoral chances on ice. Cortez won, largely, for a simple reason. Bigotry. She had the right profile: a young, female, Hispanic in a district 70 percent non-white — a figure no doubt even higher among its Democrat electorate — and in which the incumbent was a wizened old white fellow (Crowley is 56 and looks 66). It helped that she’s attractive and articulate, but she shamelessly played the group-identity card, too, sending a message that no one should vote for an old white male. She even retweeted the picture of an attorney who expressed the sentiment that “all white people are racist.” The Washington Post pointed this phenomenon out, by the way, running a Wednesday article titled “The worst thing to be in many Democratic primaries? A white male candidate.” The paper writes, “Democratic voters have been picking women, racial minorities, and gay men and lesbians in races around the country at historic rates.” Is this a surprise? I wrote years ago about what I dubbed “Cultural affirmative action”; this is the phenomenon whereby people will, often unconsciously, show preference for or advantage members of so-called “victim groups” simply because of their association with those groups. Cultural affirmative action is especially intense among the Democrat electorate, which comprises many who wish to virtue signal and buttress their own self-image by bearing the new “white man’s burden.” That is, when they are white. Much of that electorate is non-white and Hispanic. Regardless, anti-white bigotry is intense among Democrats, which is why you hear about mythical “white privilege” and the alleged evils of our white ancestors. And if the Left hates that today’s civilization has been shaped by “dead white males,” it’s easy to understand why they wouldn’t want tomorrow’s to be shaped by live ones. I expounded upon this phenomenon years ago, mind you. When ex-North Carolina senator John Edwards was running against Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the 2008 Democrat nomination, I pointed out that there simply was no way the Democrat electorate was going to choose a white man over a woman and a “black” guy. He was wasting his time. And, sure enough, a subsequent poll of all Americans (not just Democrats) bore this out, showing that while Obama’s race made six percent of Americans less likely to vote for him, it made nine percent more likely to do so. (By the way, this is why you, Governor Andy Cuomo, and you, Little Big Gulp — a.k.a. soda-warrior Michael Bloomberg — have no chance of capturing the 2020 Democrat nomination. Zero, zilch, nada. You’re being hoisted on your own petards, as your grand political ambitions will be devoured by the politically correct monster you helped create. And, yes, I am experiencing laughing-out-loud schadenfreude.) As for Cortez, she beat Crowley by a whopping 57 to 42 percent; if Democrats suppose that more than a handful of points of this are attributable to her anti-ICE position, I say they’re crazy. Heck, I’d think that many of her constituents, upon hearing about abolishing ICE, would only ask, “But what about the warming climate?” (to quote an Internet commenter who made this quip). Moreover, the Big Apple represents the rest of America politically the way it does scenery-wise. If you think you can extrapolate what happened there to most political races, well, I have a forested mountain range in Manhattan to sell you. Democrats likely have an emotional impediment precluding them from being intellectually honest here: They don’t want to come to terms with their own bigotry (liberals aren’t big on self-knowledge). The reality, however, is that Cortez won over low-information voters by exploiting their prejudices. But, hey, what do I know? I’m just an idiot oblivious to reality — and a white male, too. So by all means, my Democrat friends, please run on a pro-illegal-migration, anti-ICE platform. Sounds like the Neocons are well on their way to funding and supporting another demonic color revolution, this time in Iran, which will bring nothing but more suffering to ordinary Iranians (most of whom actually support their own government) and will lead to an eventual war that will see Israel and the region suffer greatly. To the extent that Trump continues to support the Neocon and Israeli-Saudi First Foreign Policy Agenda is the extent to which he will fail and bring to nothing any good he does on the domestic level. I think he’s at a crossroads right now and has one last chance to embrace a genuine America First Foreign Policy agenda and the foreign policy advice of the American Founders and our modern patriots like Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul. If Trump continues to embrace Netanyahu, Bolton and the rest of the Neocon warmongers, it will be his undoing. Sometimes I am worried about the level of Trump-idolizing that occurs amongst Catholics and conservatives [and this comes from one who campaigned for him at the local level]. But mark my words, Trump’s embrace of the Neocon foreign policy agenda - an agenda that embraces the racial supremacy, man-worship, and other national errors that were condemned years ago in Mit brennender Sorge - will be his undoing and eventual downfall.
