I started 1st Fridays 4 months ago and ran into a speed bump traveling Feb. Today I just want to plop after work and take a cat nap. I'm also planning to see Paul: the Apostle with a friend tonight.

I know it's not the same as Mass but if I then go to Adoration and pray the Spiritual Communion.
    Perhaps 1st Saturday

Been there done that—I have had a hard time completing the 9. I’ve done much better with the 5. But I have completed the 9 a couple of times in my life so I’m hoping ....however I am back at it once more. Hoping to complete this time around. The graces attached are amazing.

A friendly reminder that we are approaching both First Friday and First Saturday this weekend.

I hope we all can take the time to take part in loving reparation toward our Holy Mother and Blessed Savior. They are counting on us. :)

Thanks! I made it to a 6:30pm TLM tonight at the local FSSP chapel, but unless I go to an anticipated NO diocesan obligation mass tomorrow evening, I'm just not going to be able to make it to a First Saturday mass due to family obligations. :(

I did as well Brian, local being a relative word I guess but not too horribly far away. My first time at a FSSP Parish. I confessed there as well and the Priest had much good council. I was very grateful.
I agree with HH, family obligations I suspect please Our Blessed Mother very much. God bless you.

Something from Our Mother Mary to ponder on this First Saturday:
My child, to you, perhaps, my sacrifice of living without my will may not seem great; but I tell you that there is no sacrifice similar to mine – even more, all other sacrifices in the whole history of the world can be called shadows in comparison with mine. To sacrifice oneself for one day – now yes, now no – is easy; but to sacrifice oneself in each instant, in each act, in the very good that one wants to do, for one’s entire life, without ever giving life to one’s own will, is the sacrifice of sacrifices; it is the greatest attestation that can be offered, and the purest love, filtered through the Divine Will Itself, that can be offered to our Creator. This sacrifice is so great, that God cannot ask anything more of the creature, nor can she find how to sacrifice more for her Creator.
And now, a little word to you, my child: if you knew how I yearn to see you living without your will…. You know that I am your Mother, and a Mama wants to see her child happy; but how can you be happy if you do not decide to live without your will, as your Mama lived? If you do so, I will give you everything; I will place Myself at your disposal, I will be all for my child, provided that I receive the good, the contentment, the happiness, of having a child who lives all of Divine Will.

I think this sums up the difference in the lives of those who strive to do the will of God vs. those who strive to live in the will of God. Mark Mallett's latest blog digs deeper into the mystery https://www.markmallett.com/blog/2018/05/04/rethinking-the-end-times/

I have begun attending an FSSP parish. At mass last Saturday there were two Priests, one a new Priest who has just begun saying the Mass at our Parish. Both were each quietly offering the Mass at the alters in front of The Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph. Meanwhile, the Mass was offered by the Senior Priest at the high alter.
I have never attended a Mass where other Priests were offering the Mass silently like this while the Mass was also attended by the laity as well. The best part was seeing another new Priest offering Mass at this Parish. It gave me great hope to see vocations are in fact growing. I wish I had a better picture to show you of Saint Josephs in Tacoma WA, this one isn't the best.

Well gee, apparently I had no idea that occurred, 2 Masses offered at side alters while a High Mass is being offered.
