I can't picture Ven. Fulton Sheen acting the way Cardinal Dolan did in regard to this sacrilege. I would think the question that should be on every American bishop's mind is, if not "What would Jesus do?", then "What would Fulton Sheen do?" It is a crime that his burial situation cannot be sorted out so that the canonization process can proceed, for the Church is being robbed of public devotion to a great saint. If you want to talk about true evangelization in modern America, look no further than he.
Ah, where to put this most interesting "find" article! 'PETER IS HERE': UNTOLD STORY OF ASTONISHING SEARCH FOR THE APOSTLE Why few know of Texas oilman, agnostic archaeologist and historic find It’s arguably one of the most significant discoveries in the history of the world, accomplished by an improbable collection of characters through a complex series of improbable developments. Yet few are aware of the find – for reasons that become evident as the saga is told – and even fewer know the whole story and the threads the players wove into the events of World War II and their influence on its outcome. image: http://www.wnd.com/files/2018/05/john-oneill.jpg John O’Neill The discovery was the bones of the Apostle Peter, a scientifically verified find that was authenticated only recently under the leadership of Popes Benedict and Francis. The search also uncovered startling new evidence – hidden for nearly two millennia – of a thriving Christian community rooted in belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ at a time of intense Roman persecution. The storyteller, in the newly released book “The Fisherman’s Tomb,” is perhaps as improbable as the story. Yet, like the characters, perfectly positioned. John O’Neill is known as the face of the Vietnam swift boat veterans who many believe prevented John Kerry from being elected president of the United States in 2004. (O’Neill and the more than 200 veterans who came forward still stand by their story despite the establishment media’s boilerplate dismissal of “discredited claims.”) ...... The archeologist, Margherita Guarducci, was a genius, O’Neill said, and “probably the only person who could have decoded everything to find Peter.” According to church tradition, Peter, one of the three disciples closest to Jesus, was executed in Rome and chose to be crucified upside down, because he thought himself unworthy to suffer precisely as Jesus did. But until Guarducci’s find, there was scant evidence the great apostle had even been in Rome. The discovered bones, at a site predicted by church tradition but dismissed by naysayers, were of a robust 65-year-old man who bore the marks of violent crucifixion. Guarducci honed in on the site after deciphering coded inscriptions that declared: “Peter is here.” ........ Why don’t we know this story? A major reason the remarkable discovery of Peter isn’t well known is because of the fierce denunciation of Guarducci’s work by Father Antonio Ferrua, a Vatican archaeologist who led the search initially and claimed to have found the disciple’s bones after a decade of work. But not long after Ferrua and his team were celebrated in a Time magazine cover story in 1950, Guarducci was invited to tour the excavation site, and she found that Ferrua had made a “terrible mistake.” Pope Pius XII then put Guarducci in charge, and her team not only disproved Ferrua’s claims, it found another site, another set of bones and a wealth of convincing evidence that she had found Peter. image: http://www.wnd.com/files/2018/05/guarducci.jpg Margherita Guarducci Ferrua later regained control of the effort, fired Guarducci and vehemently denounced her and her find. In 2004, The Atlantic magazine published a glowing article about Ferrua, concluding he has disproved Guarducci’s claims. But in a 1990 symposium in Milan on Guarducci’s finds, the moderator, the head of Sotheby’s Europe and the greatest expert in Roman antiquities in the world, Federico Zeri, stood up to speak. He described himself as an agnostic who didn’t believe in Christianity. But there’s no question, he insisted, that Margherita Guarducci, whom he called a “diamond bit for the truth,” has found Peter. “They’ve said that my faith controlled my science, but I had no faith until I had science,” said Guarducci, according to O’Neill’s paraphrase. “My science is what produced faith.” Pope Benedict commissioned an examination of her discovery and concluded the science was solid, and she indeed had found Peter. Shortly after Francis became pope, he held a box of the bones and declared them authentic in front of a crowd of about 7,000 people at the most important mass of the year, saying, “Behold the relics of Peter.” ......... O’Neill said that, personally, he tends to be a doubter. “It’s my nature. My wife is a wonderful person, of fabulous faith. I’m a Thomas, a doubter,” he said. But anyone who goes on the Scavi Tour at the Vatican can “put your hands here on these walls, you can take a look at these relics.” “And even a doubter like me ceases to doubt,” he said. “I was a pretty good lawyer, and I tried an awful lot of cases. I would be afraid to try the other side of this case,” said O’Neill, a graduate of the Naval Academy and a former law clerk to Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist. “This is a slam dunk on [Guarducci] having located Peter. And it is a slam dunk on those inscriptions. Those are very fundamental to anyone who has any doubts about Christianity.” ........ Greatest people I ever knew About John Kerry, O’Neill said, “I’m sorry for him; I hope that some day he comes around.” “I guess the election actually showed whether we were discredited or not. I’m content with the result of that election as a judgment,” he told WND. Referring to Kerry’s characterization of troops in Vietnam as criminals, O’Neill said the “greatest people I ever knew were the people I served with in Vietnam.” “And they were not criminals. They were fabulous, wonderful people fighting for a great cause,” he said. “Until the last breath I breathe, I will be so proud of the fact that I actually knew them and got the chance to serve with them, including the ones we lost who didn’t come home.” Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2018/05/peter-is...g-search-for-the-apostle/#QGOWD9DBqgas1GtK.99
Diocese publishes image of what some believe could be apparition Tuesday, May 08, 2018 11:48 a.m. CDT by Jim Monk (courtesy, Paulette Osborne & New Earth) FARGO (KFGO) - A photo taken in Fargo of what some people believe could be an apparition of Jesus has caught the attention of the Fargo Catholic Diocese. The image shows a group of people gathering around a fire during an Easter Vigil at Fargo’s Holy Spirit Catholic Church. According to "New Earth," the official publication of the diocese, the photo was taken in the entryway of the church on March 31st. Photographer Paulette Osborne of Fargo says she didn't notice the image until she looked at her photos several days later. "I got to the seventh (photo) and said wow! So I made a copy and I cropped it and enlarged it and then you could really see how beautiful it was." Michael O'Neill of Chicago, also known as "The Miracle Hunter," has investigated apparition and miracle claims for several years. "As a Catholic myself, looking for an image of Jesus subconsciously, I think this is one of the stronger cases where the imagery is pretty clear" O'Neill said. "That being said, my assessment is that it's a flicker of light in that exact perfect moment in the great context of Easter, which makes us think about Jesus and how he has miracles in our church." O'Neill added "These things are perhaps meant for the moment of the believer. Whether or not it is a sign meant for all people of all time to see and learn something and grow from it, that's a hard thing to ever say." The Fargo Catholic Diocese says the photo was published because of its beauty and relevance to the celebration of Easter and does not claim the image is an apparition. Osborne says the photo is being widely circulated with people on social media as far away as Jamaica. "I don't know why I've been given that picture, but it's spreading the light and so much love and faith." http://kfgo.com/news/articles/2018/...age-of-what-some-believe-could-be-apparition/
The Met Gala thing had a lot of disgusting images. From what I hear most there, almost all, were trying to be very respectful, it is just a few idiots who are taking all the media attention. And idiots they are. And the whole thing is disgusting because of those few... but I must admit, this is pretty stunning. View attachment 7837
Who did she come as? Salome about to do the dance of the seven veils for King Herod? Considering the people who were there, the beheading of John the Baptist seems a good fit.
You know, back in the early 80's I read a book on this subject which declared that the bones had been found. The story in the book was that the necropolis under the Vatican was discovered during some renovations in the 30's. The Pope appointed a team of archaeologists to begin excavating, which they were able to do all the way to the area underneath the main altar, where tradition stated Peter was buried. However, the Pope also appointed one of the main priests in charge of the Basilica to oversee the archaeologists. The priest and the archaeologists came to hate each other, because the team hated having to report to this person and the priest thinking they weren't treating the bones they found with sufficient reverence. The priest developed the habit of going into the dig site after the work was done for the day to preserve the bones that had been uncovered during the day. One day, just before quitting time, the team opened an area that was underneath the main altar. They packed up their tools and went home, intending to investigate this area in the morning. That evening, the priest came with the worker and saw all these bones in the area that had just been opened. He collected them up, put them in a box, and had the worker put it in a filing cabinet. The next day, the team found nothing in the area to support the belief that Peter was buried there, and moved on. It was 20 years later when the worker happened to mention to Guarducci about the bones in the location, and she was able to decode the identity of whose bones those were.

Sudanese teen bride who killed husband during rape to be executed Nita Bhalla May 10, 2018 https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...band-during-rape-to-be-executed-idUSKBN1IB2K9 NAIROBI (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - A 19-year-old girl in Sudan was sentenced to death by a court on Thursday for murdering her husband after he tried to rape her, said campaigners, calling on the president to pardon her as she was forced into a child marriage, and had acted in self-defense. Noura Hussein says her father made her contractually marry her cousin when she was 16, but she refused to accept the union and sought refuge with a relative for three years. She returned to her family home on the outskirts of the capital Khartoum in April this year after her father said the marriage was canceled, but found that she had been duped and preparations for her wedding ceremony were under way. Hussein said that she refused to have sex with her husband after the ceremony, but on the sixth day, he raped her as three of his male relatives held her down to restrain her. The following day, he attempted to rape her again and as she struggled to stop him, she stabbed him, killing him. A Sharia court, which follows Islamic religious law, found Hussein guilty of premeditated murder last month and on Thursday officially sentenced her to death by hanging. Her lawyers have 15 days to appeal. “Under Sharia law, the husband’s family can demand either monetary compensation or death. They chose death and now the death penalty has been handed down,” said Badr Eldin Salah, an activist from the Afrika Youth Movement who was in the court. “Noura’s lawyers say they plan to appeal against the decision, but we also need strong international support from organizations such as the African Union, the United Nations and the European Union to support her.” Sudan is ranked 165 out of 188 countries on the U.N.’s Gender Inequality Index, which measures how women fare compared to men when it comes to access to health, education, political participation and employment opportunities. UN Women says violence against women and girls is considered prevalent. The country has not signed the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and has weak policies in place to protect them. Marital rape and child marriage, for example, are not considered crimes in the predominately Muslim African nation. Sudanese law allows for the marriage of a girl once she hits puberty. It also says a 10-year-old girl can be married by their guardian with the permission of a judge. One in three Sudanese women are married before the age of 18, says UN Women. Petitions appealing for Norma’s release such as Change.org and Avaaz.com are being widely circulated on social media platforms and have gathered tens of thousands of signatures. Campaign groups such as Equality Now say they are writing to Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to plead for clemency, arguing that the judgment is against the Sudanese constitution. “Noura is a victim, not a criminal, and should be treated as such. In many countries, victims like Noura would be provided services to ensure that they overcome the trauma of their experiences,” said Equality Now’s Global Director Yasmeen Hassan. “Criminalization of Noura for defending herself from assault and, in particular a death sentence, would violate her rights under the Sudanese Constitution and international law.” Reporting by Nita Bhalla @nitabhalla, Editing by Claire Cozens. I don't think that I saw anything posted about the following. Nikol Pashinyan was elected as the new Armenian PM on May 8th and Russia's President Vladimir Putin promptly sent his congratulations to the new Armenian PM, Armenian Protest Leader Takes Power Under Russia’s Shadow New Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s election caps weeks of mass demonstrations in the former Soviet state Supporters of Nikol Pashinyan gather in Yerevan's central Republic Square as the parliament votes to elect a new prime minister. Photo: sergei gapon/Agence France-Presse/Getty Images By Thomas Grove May 8, 2018 1:31 p.m. ET 2 COMMENTS https://www.wsj.com/articles/armeni...roads&cx_refModule=nwsrl&ns=prod/accounts-wsj YEREVAN, Armenia—The country’s newly elected prime minister has promised sweeping changes to the thousands of protesters who rallied around his bid to unseat Armenia’s entrenched political elite. But there is one line he won’t cross for now: his nation’s special relationship with Russia. As demonstrators draped in Armenian flags erupted into applause, the country’s parliament on Tuesday chose one-time opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan to lead the government, peacefully capping weeks of mass protests in the former Soviet state. The Kremlin has watched neighbors like Georgia and Ukraine push to leave its sphere of influence, but Armenia has remained a stalwart ally. Now, as the country long ruled by the pro-Russian Republican Party has the chance to open itself up to political debate, it will have to balance its loyalties to Moscow with its ties to Europe. Speaking outside a Russian military base in April in the Armenian city of Gyumri, one of Moscow’s few foreign military strongholds left over from the Soviet Union, Mr. Pashinyan said his grass-roots movement had no intention of turning toward Europe at the expense of Moscow. One-time opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan celebrates in Yerevani after being elected Armenia’s prime minister. Photo: Geodakyan Artyom/Zuma Press “We are not Russia’s enemy and certainly not enemies of our own country, inclined to take our country down the path of adventurism,” Mr. Pashinyan said. The costly lessons Ukraine learned in its revolution against a pro-Russian president in 2014, which sparked Russia’s annexation of Crimea and its intervention in the country’s east, helped encourage demonstrators to avoid both violence and a perception by Moscow that their protest was anything but domestic. “Most people in Armenia are aware of the high price Ukraine had to pay for its freedom,” said Mr. Pashinyan’s parliamentary faction partner Edmon Marukyan. “And as a result it ended in failure.” After protests that closed down roads and railways, the Republican Party said it would give up power and chose not to field its own candidate. Mr. Pashinyan, who can now form a government, has promised to hold elections as soon as he can guarantee their legitimacy. The defeat of the ruling party, accused of buying votes and being out-of-touch and arrogant, strips power from one of Armenia’s biggest pro-Russian voices, which since the 1990s has been the architect of Armenia’s integration into Russian-led military and trading blocs. Party members have likewise overseen deals that have given Russia controls over a majority of Armenia’s energy resources and infrastructure, as well as much of its banking sector. A representative for the Republican Party declined to comment. Edmon Marukyan, opposition lawmaker from the Yelk faction, chairman of Bright Armenia party at his office. Photo: Nazik Armenakyan/4Plus for The Wall Street Journal The Kremlin is aware of the power it holds, guarding the country to project its regional power and keep its foothold in the South Caucasus region between Turkey, Iran and the resource-rich Caspian states. Shortly after Mr. Pashinyan’s election, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to the politician. “Russia has many levers it can use against Armenia and Pashinyan knows how easy it is for Russia to pull on any of those levers,” said Stepan Safranyan, a former parliamentarian and political analyst. In 2013, when Armenia looked to sign an agreement of association with the European Union that would have opened up the country to free trade with the bloc, rumors spread that the price of Russian natural gas could rise by more than 60%. Mr. Putin also visited Armenia’s regional rival Azerbaijan and hailed the deliveries of a new $1-billion arms package to the country. Armenia eventually backed out of the agreement and worked out a watered-down version last year. Since then, Russia has continued to make its feelings known. In 2016, outspoken EU supporter Stepan Grigoryan was detained at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport and deported back to Armenia. The reason he was given, he said, was that he presented a threat to Russian security. “I don’t know how I was a danger for them,” said Mr. Grigoryan. “I am 100% for European integration but even I understand that Armenia must work with Russia; otherwise the cost is too high.” Stepan Grigoryan, a political analyst and the president of the Analytical Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation, was detained at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport in 2016 and deported back to Armenia. Photo: Nazik Armenakyan/4Plus for The Wall Street Journal For now, public support for European integration is low, with around a quarter of the population favoring ties with the EU over Moscow, but some analysts said those opinions are skewed by a lack of real debate in the country. “We will see how the new government is formed and with time we will see real political debate take place opening up space for ideological competition in Armenia,” Mr. Safranyan said. “Then we will see there are many supporters who are willing to re-evaluate Armenia’s foreign policy orientation,“ he said, adding that Armenians primarily look to Europe, not Russia, as a development model. But Moscow also holds a particularly strong card. As a mediator in a longstanding conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russia can choose to intervene—or not—if violence breaks out over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, analysts said. “If Russia wants to create an imbalance in the Southern Caucasus it can do that, it just needs to press a bit, or refuse to press, it all depends,” said Alexander Iskandaryan, a Yerevan-based political analyst.
Something in the back of my mind has been nibbling at me for a while. On April 5 Hawaii became the sixth state to legalize euthanasia. A month later, the volcanoes are acting up to the point where some people are thinking one side of a volcano may slump into the ocean, causing a tsunami. I can see the MSM ignoring the connection, but I have yet to read anything in the Christian media about how if we reject G_D, He will pull His protection away from us. Just a thought.
I am a total believer. God does punish nations because of their sins. The Bible have passages on that same matter and once I had the grace of God to be communicated that some nation was going to be punished for it's sins. Unbelivable as it may sound, but it did happen as I saw it.
The scriptures tell us this. Even the ancient preChristian world understood that when the moral order became corrupt the natural world would erupt. We are seeing it.
Another interesting music event, Eurovision 2018: Chinese channel barred from airing contest 11 May 2018 http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-44078305 Image copyright Mango TV A screenshot from Mango TV shows a blurred rainbow flag during Switzerland's performance The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has barred one of China's most popular TV channels from airing the Eurovision song contest after it censored LGBT elements of the competition. Mango TV was criticised on social media for apparently blurring rainbow flags and censoring tattoos during Tuesday's first semi-final. It also decided not to air performances by the Irish and Albanian entries. The EBU said the censorship was not in line with its values of diversity. Ireland's Ryan O'Shaughnessy told the BBC what he thought of the EBU's move "It is with regret that we will therefore immediately be terminating our partnership with the broadcaster and they will not be permitted to broadcast the second Semi-Final or the Grand Final," it said in a statement. The performance by Ireland's Ryan O'Shaughnessy featured two male dancers enacting a gay love story, while Albanian singer Eugent Bushpepa is heavily tattooed. "Youtube post by Eurovision Song Contest: Ryan O’Shaughnessy - Together - Ireland - LIVE - First Semi-Final - Eurovision 2018" [Click link above for the video.] Homosexuality was decriminalised in China more than two decades ago but conservative attitudes still prevail in many parts of the country. Some activists say there has been a recent effort to sideline the LGBT community. Last month Chinese social media network Sina Weibo backtracked from a controversial gay content ban after a massive outcry. In 2016 the Chinese authorities banned depictions of gay people on TV as part of a crackdown on "vulgar, immoral and unhealthy content". A number of Chinese gay dating apps have also been shut down. There has also been a crackdown in China on tattoos and other sub-cultures. Media regulators have reportedly banned tattooed actors, and members of the Chinese national football team wore bandages over their arms and legs to conceal tattoos during a match in March. Ireland among 10 countries through to final Second semi-final sees Russia eliminated Weibo backtracks after 'gay ban' outrage A number of verified Weibo accounts shared still images of the censored performances. One account, The Voice of Homosexuality, said the broadcaster's decision to remove references to homosexuality was a "major step backwards". Image copyright Reuters Albanian singer Eugent Bushpepa has a lot of tattoos Other Weibo users called for people to "boycott Mango TV," and one user said they "absolutely won't be watching Mango TV next month". O'Shaughnessy told the BBC that he welcomed the EBU's decision. Gay film challenges China's cinema taboo Chinese broadcaster censors Eurovision "From the very start we've said love is love - whether it's between two guys, two girls or a guy and a girl so I think this is a really important decision," he said. "They haven't taken this lightly and I think it's a move in the right direction so I'm happy about it." He will perform at the final in Lisbon on Saturday with a song about the end of a relationship. He was accompanied by two male dancers during the performance that was apparently censored by Mango TV. Other countries to have reached the final include Australia, Denmark and Hungary.
US Air Force jets intercept 2 Russian bombers off Alaska coast 5/12/2018 By Lucas Tomlinson | Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/0...rcept-2-russian-bombers-off-alaska-coast.html Two F-22 fighter jets from the 3rd Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, conduct approach training, in this U.S. Air Force picture taken March 24, 2016. (Reuters) A pair of U.S. Air Force stealth fighter jets intercepted two Russian nuclear-capable bombers Friday morning off the coast of Alaska, a spokesman for NORAD (North American Aeorospace Defense Command) told Fox News. The approach by the two Tupolev Tu-95 Russian "Bear" aircraft marked the first time in just over a year that Russian bombers had flown that close to U.S. territory. Two separate defense officials reached by Fox News said the Russian bombers came within 55 miles of Alaska’s west coast. The officials requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss that portion of the intercept. The bombers entered a U.S. air-defense identification zone (ADIZ), defined as airspace extending approximately 200 miles from the nation's coastline, though mainly composed of international airspace. The F-22s monitored the Russian aircraft until the bombers left the ADIZ along the Aleutian Islands, heading west. At no time did the bombers enter North American sovereign airspace, said the NORAD spokesman, Canadian Army Maj. Andrew Hennessey. The Cold War-era Russian bombers, which date to the 1950s, were intercepted by U.S. Air Force F-22 stealth fighter jets around 10 a.m. EDT. The intercept was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon. Earlier this month, a Russian fighter jet buzzed a U.S. Navy reconnaissance plane in the Baltic Sea. The Russian Sukhoi Su-27 jet came within 20 feet of the American P-8 in international airspace. The last time Russian bombers flew as close to Alaska was May 3, 2017, officials told Fox News. Separately, Saturday marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of NORAD, the command that monitors all air activity emanating from within and outside North American airspace. The Mount Merapi volcano on densely populated Java island is one of the most active in Indonesia and a series of eruptions in 2010 killed more than 350 people. A disaster mitigation agency told residents living within a 5 km (3 mile) radius of the mountain to move to shelters, agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said in a statement. He said that 120 people who had been hiking up Merapi were safe. The airport in Yogyakarta, the nearest big city to the volcano, shut because of the threat from the ash, the state-owned aviation agency AirNav said in a statement. The disaster agency described Merapi's latest eruption as phreatic, which means magma heats up ground water and vapour is released under pressure. Hawaii volcano raises concerns of eruptions along West Coast SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The eruption of a Hawaii volcano in the Pacific “Ring of Fire” has experts warily eyeing volcanic peaks on America’s West Coast that are also part of the geologically active region. The West Coast is home to an 800-mile (1,300-kilometer) chain of 13 volcanoes , from Washington state’s Mount Baker to California’s Lassen Peak. They include Mount St. Helens, whose spectacular 1980 eruption in the Pacific Northwest killed dozens of people and sent volcanic ash across the country, and massive Mount Rainier, which towers above the Seattle metro area. “There’s lots of anxiety out there,” said Liz Westby, geologist at the U.S. Geological Survey Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, Washington, in the shadow of Mount St. Helens. “They see destruction, and people get nervous.” https://apnews.com/a11da85b7c90425b...raises-concerns-of-eruptions-along-West-Coast Roaring like jet engines, new crack opens at Hawaii volcano PAHOA, Hawaii (Reuters) - A new fissure roaring like jet engines and spewing magma opened on Hawaii's Kilauea volcano on Saturday, piling lava as high as a four-story building, as the area torn by the U.S. volcano's eruption spread. The crack in pasture land on Kilauea's east flank was the 16th recorded since the volcano, one of the world's most active, erupted eight days ago. Thousands of people have fled their homes on Hawaii's Big Island because of lava and toxic gases, and dozens of homes have been destroyed. The new fissure opened up about a mile (1.6 km) east of the existing vent system that has devastated the island's Leilani Estates neighborhood, with a few homes on the edge of the field where the vent opened. The U.S. Geological Survey warned that more outbreaks remained likely. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/roaring-jet-engines-crack-opens-hawaii-volcano-002639528.html Hawaii residents shaken by tremors, brace for new lava outbreaks PAHOA, Hawaii (Reuters) - Dozens of tremors rattled residents on Hawaii's Big Island on Friday as molten rock from Kilauea volcano flowed under an area where homes have already been destroyed by fiery lava geysers. Fifteen large cracks or fissures have opened on the eastern flank of Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, destroying dozens of houses and other structures and forcing around 2,000 people to evacuate their homes. New outbreaks of lava were expected in or around the hard-hit Leilani Estates area in the southeastern Puna district, about 20 miles (32 km) south of Hilo, the Hawaii Volcano Observatory and local authorities said. Steaming cracks in the ground, the first sign a fissure may be opening, closed roads in areas to the northeast and southwest of Leilani Estates where scientists believe the next lava geysers may appear. "I've been feeling earthquakes. Lots and lots of tremors," said Cindy Conda, whose house lies just east of Leilani Estates where 27 homes have been torched by lava in the last eight days and whose residents have all been evacuated. At a meeting on Thursday night, Hawaiian Volcano Observatory scientist Steve Brantley told residents that magma created by a 1955 eruption was being forced to the surface by Kilauea. "He said 'That lava's underneath your house,'" said Conda. "Really it's worrying; we've been doing a lot of praying." https://ca.news.yahoo.com/hawaii-residents-shaken-quakes-brace-lava-outbreaks-173812665.html

First, she sent the Angel of Peace, but then she made something terrible, as if not considering children’s innocence nor young age, she made them see hell! Lúcia writes: “Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to Heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror. “ Our Lady of Fátima, in her apparition on 14th August told the children that the hell could actually not exist if the believers had really used all their possibilities: “Pray, pray very much and make sacrifices for sinners; for many souls go to hell because there is no one to make sacrifices and pray for them”. Shouldn’t it be shocking to us that because of our negligence or someone could go to hell?
