My own concern is not that The Dear Leader may be a False Prophet, I can't read his heart. I don't know what his motivations are. I don't know of any really serious commentators (and there are many, many serious commentators including Senior Cardinals who are raising serious questions about the Dear Leader) who refer to the , 'False Prophet' issue. It is a distraction. It is certainly not central. I also do not know of any serious commentator calling for Schism.

I wish I could dismiss serious questions being asked about the Dear Leader as being, 'puzzled'. I got passed the puzzled stage years ago.

I am onto the very, very, very seriously concerned stage at the moment. ..and that is a gross understatement. I think phrases such as , 'Living in a nightmare'; 'Total horror', 'Shock and mesmerised unbelief' , might best sum things up.

But no, not , 'Puzzled'. I get puzzled doing a cross word puzzle. This is more than a crossword puzzle. I don't think the Dear Leader is some kind of frail kindly elderly uncle coming down with mild Alzeimers and wandering a bit off script..

I tend to take a much, much more sinister view.

    Fatima,

I would have to concur with Dolours in regard to your above highlighted line. In and of itself, it is blatant heresy. We are adopted children of God through water and the Spirit. Period! If we commit mortal sin, we are separated from the Father, yet still his children because of the indelible seal on our souls. It would seem you are claiming those who do not incorporate into their lives what Luisa has received in her private revelation, are Grade B citizens of heaven. If Luisa clearly teaches such things, I would steer clear of her, too!

I trust you will be able to provide a clarification.

Titus 3: ...when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit, 6 which he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life.

Romans 8: 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship. When we cry, "Abba! Father!" 16 it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

I feel guilty sometimes that I ignore every utterance from our Pope. I find everything about him too upsetting. I keep my head down and try and pray a rosary every morning for the church and for the Pope. I have lost friends because they constantly go on about how wonderful he is. I gave my opinion at the beginning and it was not well received so I have had to walk away. I havent the stomach for arguments. I trust Jesus will sort things out sooner or later as it is all a bit above me. On a funny note my 3 grandsons recently visited a relatives house. Alexa has pride of place there and they were encouraged to ask any question. They became a bit bored of it and all 3 started shouting at Alexa 'Alexa say your prayers'. Alexa shut down.

  6. All of this rehashing here re: the writings of Luisa Piccaretta, without a lot of foundational material, would be better offered in the "Living in the Divine Will" thread, if still open. Dolours, you are exposing a misunderstanding of to whom the Church designates the authority over private revelations and thus you are unnecessarily causing confusion and even fear in those who are not as yet familiar with the ongoing cause for Luisa and just what writings HAVE been permitted for public consumption. When it comes to private revelations if you are waiting for some Papal rubber stamp upon each and every one before you'll permit your God given gifts of discernment to operate, well, then you're going beyond what the Church requires. And in the case of Luisa's writings and proper interpretation (and from what you admit about your own misunderstanding, that what is to be revealed, finally, in the fulfillment of the Our Father perfect prayer from Jesus, is something that can be realized now, in the human defective experience up until this actual living of the Divine Will on earth, you'll never move into such acceptance even after it occurs), the Church, in Her representatives within this particular area of the mystical theology of eschatology (of which there are very few experts), She has rather rubber stamped the "proper interpretation" of Luisa's writings through one who is permitted to do so in Her estimation. The book, The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta is something to be studied IF one is truly serious about understanding some new, to the norm up 'til now, explanations of this heaven sent teaching for the age to come, while some have been given to live at least partially in the Divine Will already, as was St. Faustina, at times within her own mystical experiences was called a "living host".....and if you can grasp that idea lived within her own life you begin the road to learning what the fullness of this kind of "living" has, from the Beginning, been intended by the Father....in His creation of man. But teachings meant for certain times which are not accepted or understood in their debut is nothing new in the history of the Church. And yet this cause continues within Church auspices, moving beyond the local study and now on to Rome with particular writings approved, by the Church appointed authority, for release to the public. So, fear not when there is probably a greater depth of study of this particular revelation proceeding under Church approval than most that simply continue to remind us of what has gone before but only preparing us for just such a teaching about the Divine Will Itself!!

From someone who has actually delved into the depths of the understanding of this revelation for these times, to the extent available, the respected Peter B, quoted previously about this topic within this forum:

It goes without saying that if Luisa's writings are genuinely from God, which is what at least three canonized saints strongly felt (Pope Pius X, Luisa's extraordinary confessor St Annibale M. di Francia and Padre Pio), then the implications are huge because of the content. Given their radicality, despite the coherence with the best theological traditions of the Church as demonstrated by Fr Joseph I., it's not surprising in some ways that it has taken so long for Luisa P's writings to have gained acceptance. My own sense is that it may be only now that their time has come, which would be exactly what Padre Pio predicted when he allegedly said that 'the new millennium will see Luisa's light'.

Now then, since things are proceeding beyond the very sacred history of the individual herself, Luisa, with certain portions of her instructive writings, already parceled out for the acquaintance of the faithful, one ought not disparage anyone who takes advantage of this rather long introduction, or one appears to take on a personal authority that itself goes beyond what the Church Herself permits.

Question is, through which mediums? To a degree, should I concern with what information of mine is out there so long as I stay focused on MY objective? To that end, no one can hurt me unless I let them. Unless we choose to stay off the grid...Otherwise yes, where will brainwashing come from?
Sorry, modestly random thoughts. Busy with "deadlines".

With respect, EToA, that's a very long winded means of telling me that you, Fatima, and anyone else pushing whatever unapproved prophecy floats your boat is somehow more spiritual, more Catholic or holier than those who prefer to wait until suitably qualified people appointed by the Church who actually know what they're doing determine whether or not what you are promoting contains elements contrary to the faith.

I'm sowing no confusion. I'm telling you straight out that the GSWYL messages are not from God. And I'm telling you that since our goal is to get to Heaven we can achieve that goal without ever reading a single word of what Luisa Piccaretta wrote. In support of your argument you quote a paragraph from someone called Peter B who gave nothing but an opinion based on what he considered Pope Pius X, Luisa's confessor and Padre Pio "felt" and something that Padre Pio "allegedly" said. I linked to the EWTN website which clearly stated the current position.

If "discernment" means following every self-proclaimed prophet or unapproved prophecy telling you what you want to hear, go right ahead and do it, just don't try to convince me that I'm not as smart, spiritually mature, holy, devout, or Catholic as you because I prefer to be guided by the Church. GSWYL is quoted here more often than the Bible yet not a single word of it has been submitted for examination by Church authorities. It's the same with Vassula Ryden - a non-Catholic woman who went into a Catholic Church, received Communion, took it out of the Church and had herself photographed treating it like a show-and-tell session in a school classroom. Promoting questionable "seers", "prophets" or "locutionists" and their messages as though they were 100% authentic is what causes confusion.

  17. All of that and I didn't mention GSWYL or any of your other misdirections from the topic of Luisa Piccaretta's writings. Rather, I gave all of the factors involved in the Church's treatment of Luisa Piccaretta's writings and to attempt to correct some of your generalizations about this particular cause. But I see that there is no sense in offering further information for at least beginning to study this timely revelation. Just your over generalization re: discernment speaks to your emphasis on knee jerk reactions over the use of writings and declarations from experts and saints. Maybe next time you might stop and consider any future attempt by any other truthful reply to your personal concerns and not see it simply as something that you feel disagrees with your opinions....since this was full of a lot more than was contained in your limited judgement that seemed to conveniently leave out even the Church's own approach. We can't be holier than the Church....that is, if one is truly concerned with all the Church permits within the area of private revelation. And, one thing is for certain, Peter B is far more knowledgeable in his understanding of this than you have demonstrated for yourself....in that alone your reduction of appreciation by others towards him has no basis. You might get acquainted first with one you dismiss....and all of his expertise and reasoning before, once again, generalizing for the sake of self promotion. Charity comes through respect for the other's own discernment based on far more than what you offer in your own misunderstandings. You're warning people against what the Church Herself permits. Stick with EWTN which actually is saying that this cause is ongoing while accurate translations of ALL the writings continues and their interpretation is being studied. Not exactly what you wished to use to dissuade others from looking further. So much today which blocks what heaven wishes to reveal comes either out of fear, ignorance, or attempting to protect an image.

Dolours, you say say straight out, the GSWYL messages are not from God, but you cannot point to one sentence in this book that contradicts scripture or church teaching. Not a credible critique for your view on the book. I had the following sent to me by a friend that is worth posting in regards to Luisa and her writings. Not that it will change your mind, but perhaps it will help others with an open mind see that her gift's were Divine.........

The reason for the resistance and almost hatred towards God’s knowledge on living in His Divine Will is that this is what will be the demise of Satan and his cohorts! Saint Annibale once said to Luisa, “…the demons are raging because they see me engaged in this publication.” (from his letter to Luisa, Feb. 14, 1927) We also can expect this rage of the enemy – and I have very much experienced it, but to those who have been given the knowledge, Jesus expects very much and that includes us being the criers of the Divine Will.

As far as the books receiving the Imprimatur – regarding Luisa’s writings:

St. Annibale was appointed by the Archbishop of Trani as Luisa’s censor librorum, who ordered Luisa to write The Hours of the Passion receiving the imprimatur of Archbishop Joseph Leo in 1915, 1916, 1917, and 1925. He also reviewed, edited and printed Luisa’s first nineteen volumes that bore the nihil obstat and the imprimatur of Archbishop Joseph Leo. The Archbishop also gave the imprimatur to the book, “In the Kingdom of the Divine Will” written by Rev. Benedict Calvi who was one of Luisa’s confessors. Rev. Calvi also published the third edition of the book, ”The Blessed Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the Divine Will”, also bearing the imprimatur.

Also, there are many, many books where Jesus teaches us to live in His Divine Will that have the nihil obstat and imprimatur, such as: Saint Faustina’s Diary; Ven. Conchita di Armida’s books, “Diary of a Mother” and “To the Priests”; Servant of God Archbishop Luis Martinez book “Only Jesus”, and recently, “In Sinu Jesu”. Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi’s book, “The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta” received Ecclesiastical Approbation from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome.

There have been so many more writings pertaining to living in His Will because now is the time for the knowledge. Luisa’s writings are the most comprehensive and complete which is why they are the most persecuted against. With all the writings out there, its so hard for me to understand that they do not believe, but then Jesus told us through Luisa that they would have to remove their own wills in order to be disposed to the truths that He gives us. There are three things needed: the desire, the disposition, and the knowledge in order to live in the Divine Will – and many are certainly not disposed, nor have the desire to abandon themselves to God’s Will, nor want the knowledge of His Words on living in His Will, so we should not be too surprised.

I leave you with words of Saint Annibale: “Every word of Our Lord is more than a pearl, it is more than a precious diamond! We don’t know for which future souls these words are in the divine Mind. Our Lord says some words and He wants them written for the good of those souls!”

We will go and have gone around in circles about unapproved prophecies and I don't believe that anyone here is telling people that they should not be studied at all but as Dolours as stated, in so many words, we are not required to believe in approved prophecies let alone unapproved prophecies.

I think to help keep the peace on the forum unapproved prophecies are better discussed on their own threads as opposed to every random thread on the forum. That does not mean to say that they should never ever be brought up on threads like this one but I think that we should try and limit our postings of the unapproved prophecies to threads designated for their discussion.

Its not that Dolours or anyone else does not like alleged messages, it is that they want to stifle their discussions, even when nothing in them can be found contrary to church teaching or scripture. That is censorship. Of course no one has to believe in them. One does not need to believe in approved ones either. This seems to go for even those with imprimatur for some. God gives them for our benefit. Guess no more discussion on Medjugorjie or any other alleged apparitions/messengers. This is not the will of God. He expects us to use our faith understanding to guide us in our openness to "not despise prophecy, but test". That is all that is being done and some on the forum cannot accept this.
