The traditional dioceses and orders of priests and nuns have plenty of vocations. The leftist SJW orders and diocese are drying up. It is at the TLM you see young families with lots of children being home schooled for the most part and that is where the vocations are coming from. We may end up with two churches without splitting in two. It will be a natural erosion of one and a natural blooming of the other.
This could very well be what will happen. There was no schism during the Arian heresy. The Catholics went underground while the Arians ruled the dioceses. It was the closest the true Church ever came to dying out. If we imagine the Chastisement we are entering to be much worse than anything the Church has ever suffered so far, then I shudder to think what desolation lies ahead. The Arian heresy was an interior schism of sorts if one can speak of such a thing. The separation between Catholics and Arians was so thorough that Catholics would not even share bath houses with the Arians for fear of suffering some kind of "contamination".
Sg, No one should ever follow someone who appears to be teaching things that are not in accordance with the Church's actual teachings whether that person is a Pope or anyone else. How would you summarize the reasons for Archbishop Lefebvre's actions which caused his excommunication? I am not certain that what we see occurring now is comparable to Archbishop Lefebvre's situation because right now it is being suggested in some cases to allow practicing adulterers to receive communion.
The Warning will clearly bring the true church together and many nonCatholics will join the ranks. No confusion after the Warning who remains within and outside the Catholic church.
Sunburst posted a video on this thread which spoke of the resistance movement, resistance to the errors of Pope Francis and the evil people who surround him who are bringing about the New World Order I like calling it resistance rather than schism Catholics resisted the dismantling of the Church in France during the French Revolution They did not separate from the Church
AED, I pray that Cardinal Burke or anyone else will never be excommunicated for upholding the Church's teachings but if this did happen what you have stated could easily occur, we may end up with two churches without splitting in two. I wonder if the reality of what the Church is facing may be even more grave than splitting in two because since the Pope has granted bishops’ conferences greater latitude to make their own translations of sacred texts and liturgy we may see all sorts of differences occurring and getting gradually worse and worse. HH, You make a very good point and I noticed that the LifeSiteNews article that I just posted used the term resistance also. (Resisting evil.)
Well Carol, I think that resisting evil is exactly what we are doing right now, and God sees and is blessing us. It really resonated with me when I was listening to the tape Plus if I am not mistaken, the Resistance movement in France during the French Revolution involved in some way St Louis de Montfort, a great Marian saint. I believe I heard that said on the video, although briefly. I need to research that more, because he spoke prophetically about the Latter Days and saints who were consecrated to Our Lady. I vastly prefer to resist with Our Lady.
I hope as you do that the Warning comes before all of the troubles start, but I think it more likely that it only occurs at a later time. Possibly preceding the Three Days of Darkness part of the Chastisement.
The part about the resistance in France is eerily similar to our situation now. During the French Revolution the churches were being destroyed and religion was discouraged Now we are witnessing the dismantling of our Church and our Faith once again The resistance movement in France was called Le Vende I need to see how St Louis de Montfort participated and reread his words about the Blessed Mother’s significance in the latter days We are also up against an almost intractable political system which is Luciferian in origin We need Our Lady
No I don’t think so You might find some articles posting this, and there may be some individuals choosing schism for themselves, but no, I don’t think so The 2,000 year old Magisterium is still intact and the Mass is still valid We still have some faithful bishops and a few Cardinals And we don’t have to obey the Pope in anything sinful
I just looked at Mario’s thread and he has info about de Montfort I was wrong about the time period De Montfort fought against the Jansenist heresy However He was mentioned in that video Tomorrow I will go back and listen and put things in perspective Sorry for my error in time period
Lo St Louis De Montford lived before the French Revolution. But since he and his order worked in the Vendee area it had long term effects on the people of the enxt generations who refused to accept the principles of the Revoution and were pretty well exterminated for it, a bit like the Christeros in Mexico.
The predicted shortage of priests is very likely, in my opinion, to segue neatly with the amount of Catholics who want them. That is not to say that faithful Catholics will not be deprived of priests, but this will be another Cross that Our lord will help them carry.
Another attack by the Holy Father on his own flock: http://www.lastampa.it/2018/04/17/v...ke-nothing-iXLt9UhrmIirQcT9HLDrEM/pagina.html
"In Santa Marta, the Pope cites the example of Saint Stephen to explain the mission of a prophet, who “is no “reproacher”, but a person of hope. If they do their job well, they risk their neck”". A statement with more truth than this Pope might realise. A lot of necks have already, in a sense, been severed by this papacy. We must remember that the last, and greatest, prophet, St. John the Baptist actually suffered his neck to be severed for reproaching Herod...and about marriage, at that. Although St. Stephen was a great martyr, it is news to me to see him described as a 'prophet'. This Pope continues to evade the irony that it is he who persists with the scolding tone more than anybody. We should take encouragement that he has not the courage to name names. Also, it has been reported that the CDF has rejected the proposals by the German bishops for inter-communion, a decision said to have been supported by Pope Francis. He does seem to lack a certain conviction.
