What I have found most useful and helpful is to follow good and holy priests in their blogs and tweets They are in obedience to the Magisterium in all things but sin We follow their words and examples
Well....heeeeeeere's another one! Used as cover for former confusing one....or just another one that throws everything in and that "kitchen sink" as well?? Pope’s Apostolic Exhortation on holiness to be presented on Monday Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation “Gaudete et Exsultate” will be presented at the Holy See Press office in the Vatican on Monday, 9 April. A statement released by the Holy See Press Office on Thursday said a Press Conference to launch and present Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation “Gaudete et Exsultate” (Rejoice and be glad), and subtitled “On the call to holiness in the contemporary world” will take place on 9 April at noon. An Apostolic Exhortation is considered one of the highest ranking papal documents, after Encyclical Letters. Since his election as Pope, Francis has issued two other Exhortations: “Evangelii Gaudium” in 2013 and “Amoris Laetitia” in 2016. Set to speak at the presentation of “Gaudete et Exsultate” are Bishop Angelo De Donatis, the vicar general of the Rome diocese, Italian journalist Gianni Valente and Paola Bignardi, a former president of Catholic Action Italy. http://www.vaticannews.va/en/vatica...lic-exhortation-pope-francis-presentatio.html
There has been a whole lot more unveiling of God's mysteries and prophecies since Yves Dupont and Desmond Birch that seem to me fills in the gaps and question marks more fully. The unveiling of the end-times mysteries is not a stagnant or Polaroid picture. It is ever unfolding and ever revealing plan that God uses his messengers of today to help reveal his plans, his mysteries hidden. No one, least of all Father Iannuzzi or Mark Mallet believe in millenarianism and anyone who suggests this simply does not understand what that is. Jesus will not come back on earth and reign with man, walk with man and talk with man in the flesh. That is millenarianism. Jesus comes back in the flesh only at the end of the world to judge all mankind. This is not what the messengers of today are supporting or saying and it is not what Mark or Father Iunnuzzi is saying. Jesus is soon to return and reign in the Era of Peace or the 7th day of rest via his Eucharistic reign. Those who persevere these times and enter into this Era of Peace will be only those who live in the Divine Will. The Divine Will era will be not unlike the period of Adam and Eve before their fall. They were created in the Divine Will and walked and talked with God. This is what we are asked to do today. This is what will be necessary in order to enter in to the era of the Divine Will. Those baptized and in sanctifying grace now are to walk in God's Divine Will, but its understanding is far greater than any of us full comprehend. Luisa Piccaretta's 36 volumes are the guide to perfecting this mystery. We are only infants in the Divine Will, but we must excel in it in order to enter into the era of peace. It is the only way anyone will survive the greatest purification the world has ever witnessed in 6000 years. In order to enter into the Era of Peace and living in the Divine Will one will have to have been purified of all that keeps them from walking and talking with God as Adam and Eve did. Total attentiveness and abandonment to His Will. For those that do not accept this journey, God will remove during this purification. Some will go to purgatory and then heaven and some will go to hell. But either way, those who die short of understanding the Divine Will shall come to understand it either through the purgatory (purification) while on earth during the tribulation or the purgatory of purification in God's invisible world prior to heaven.
Cardinal Schönborn: a Council Could Approve of Female Ordinations Maike Hickson April 6, 2018 0 Comments During Easter, not only did a German priest and monk declare that he could well imagine a female pope in the future, but Cardinal Christoph Schönborn – whom Pope Francis has called a “great theologian” and to whom the pope entrusted the public interpretation of Amoris Laetitia – gave an interview in which he appears to express the belief that a future ecumenical council could approve of the ordination of women to the priesthood. In an 1 April interview given to a group of Austrian journalists – prominently to some from the Austrian newspaper Die Presse, but also from the Salzburger Nachrichten – Cardinal Schönborn makes several statements that show his own openness to the idea of married priests, as well as ordained women – from deaconesses, to female priests, and even to female bishops. read the rest at https://onepeterfive.com/cardinal-schonborn-a-council-could-approve-of-female-ordinations/
I think my nightmare would be, 'One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest'. To be confined in a mental institute and diagnosed with a specific ailment and not to be able to prove to people I was sane. I think psychology is as much as a science as an art. Al Doctors at one time or another kill people needlessly but I think Psychiatrists can often do the most harm. I think one of the major mistakes people make is to misdiagnose spiritual disorders for mental ones. Archbishop Fulton Sheen gives a good example of this on talk on the devil. He notes when priests visited a mental institute often the patients reacted very violently to them and it was clear to the clerics that the poor person was possessed, rather than mentally ill. I talked to an exorcist in England one time who gave me a good example of this. He used to visit an institution with a very high wall with a garden behind it were the patients were. Although the wall was far too high and solid for the patients to know he was passing on the other side (on random occasion) several of the poor people used to cry out and scream as he walked past. Another misdiagnose , easily made concerns the Dark Night of the Soul which is frequently misunderstood as clinical depression. I thought in the film, 'The Song of Bernadette', there was a very good instance. St Bernadette claimed to have seen the Blessed Virgin in Lourdes. Since the Doctors did not believe in God they wanted to commit the unfortunate girl for delusions. Nevertheless sometimes the head shrinkers are useful. The reason I studied psychology myself was to check in case I was going away in the head when I started, 'seeing' and 'hearing' things myself Nevertheless my take on much of the confusion surrounding the Holy Father's contradictory statements finds its roots in the fact that he is not a well man. I am not trying to remove any guilt on his part for his actions, I think it is just awful what he has done, but I don't think that the poor man is firing on all six cylinders; I think if you read reports of his even very early life he was never altogether totally all there.
It is the only way to understand the heresies being propagated by PF, as well as the other atrocities coming out from the Vatican. No hell. Sinful souls are annihilated. No one can be condemned forever. That is not the logic of the gospel. God himself asks adulterers to continue in their sin. God needs us in order to be God. etc "In her (the Church's) moment of extreme need, those who should speak will fall silent."
Amen. Thank you for posting this. The “rapture trap” of American Evangelical Christianity has polluted Catholicism with this pernicious false notion and this definitely needs to be repeated.
I've worked with mentally ill for over ten years. There have only been a few I thought were possessed. When clergy visit, I've never seen anyone act strangely when the Real Presence was around. That being said, I think most have spiritual needs not being met. I can only discuss this with them when they bring it up. And they rarely do. St. Dymphna pray for us.
Fatima, What I posted was very basic Church teaching and an interpretation of scripture. For the record, I did not accuse anyone of spreading millenarianism but I merely quoted something from Yves Dupont to help Blizzard and others here. I offer the following for Blizzard and others who also believe in Garabandal. Here is another quote from Mari Loli Mazon • “Then she showed us how the great Chastisement for all mankind would come, and that it would come directly from God.”[**] This information from Loli was contained in messages bearing her signature that were presented to Maria Saraco and published in 1970 by Fernand Corteville in his newsletter L'Impartial (No.31): In spite of continuing to see the Virgin, (during the Nights of the Screams) we saw a great multitude of people who were suffering intensely and screaming in terror. The Blessed Virgin explained to us that this great tribulation, which was not even the Chastisement, would come because a time would arrive when the Church would appear to be on the point of perishing. It would pass through a terrible trial. We asked the Virgin what this great trial was called and she told us it was «Communism». Then she showed us how the great Chastisement for all mankind would come, and that it would come directly from God. At a certain moment, not a single motor or machine would function; a terrible heat wave will strike the earth and men will begin to feel a great thirst. In desperation they will seek water, but this will evaporate from the heat. Then almost everyone will despair and they will seek to kill one another. But they will lose their strength and fall to the ground. Then it will be understood that it is God alone Who has permitted this. Then we saw a crowd in the midst of flames. The people ran to hurl themselves into the lakes and seas. But the water seemed to boil, and instead of putting out the flames, it seemed to enkindle them even more. It was so horrible that I asked the Blessed Virgin to take all the young children with her before all this happened. But the Virgin told us that by the time it came, they would all be adults. Father Francis Benac, S.J. The Chastisement Garabandal Journal, May-June 2004 http://www.1260.org/Mary/Apparitions_Garabandal/Garabandal_Apparitions_Chastisement_en.htm And we have the following from "Conchita's Diary" http://www.stjosephpublications.com/book_manuscripts_pages/Conchitas_Diary_eng.htm , On July 20, 1963, Conchita had an impressive locution from Our Lord. Since Conchita left the Church saying that she had had an interior locution, a priest asked her to relate the circumstances in writing. Then the girl took a piece of paper and a pencil and wrote these lines spontaneously with great ease. We have transcribed them here from the text: “I was making my thanksgiving and praying for things. He answered me… I asked Him to give me a Cross since I was living without suffering— except the suffering of not having a Cross. And he answered: ─ Yes. I will give it to you. And with much feeling, I went on praying. And I said to Him: Why is the miracle coming? To convert many people? He answered: ─ To convert the whole world [This sentence confirms what the miracle and the four Messages of Garabandal announced; they have a general and universal character. It is a call that is directed to all of humanity.]. ─ Will Russia be converted? ─ It also will be converted, and so everyone will love Our Hearts. ─ Will the chastisement come afterwards? He did not answer me. ─ Why do you come to my poor heart, without my meriting it? ─ I certainly do not come for you; I come for all. ... So, Jesus told Conchita in a locution that the Miracle is coming to convert the whole world. Are we to assume that the Warning and the Miracle will have little to no effective at all and God will send the Chastisement for all mankind in a short amount of time after these events? Imho it is apparent that there will be some time in between the Miracle and the Chastisement because it appears to be God's Will that the Warning and the Miracle will in fact have an effect on mankind, "It also will be converted, and so everyone will love Our Hearts."
Blizzard, I think if the "era of peace" occurs after the Chastisement we will all look like the guy in the meme that you posted.
I disagree with you on the comment you made about it being the only way to understand what is currently going on with the Pope and the Vatican You can’t convince me I think we may know more in hindsight But to me, saying that Benedict didn’t have a black cassock is really reaching and stretching With all due respect to you I follow Fr Kevin M Cusick on Twitter He is a parish priest who celebrates the TLM and the NO He is a former military man and I think he still is in the reserves He manages to coordinate his sources much like BrianK does He is obedient due to his training but he manages to call a spade a spade at the same time He has not succumbed to heresy
Like you, Sg, I'm groping around searching for answers and can find nothing to convince me that Pope Francis is not a heretic. If he is a heretic, it doesn't make him a bad person but it does make him a bad Pope. I try to find something likeable about him but, to be honest, his methods and personality show him to be the kind of person I can't bear to be around. All the worst adjectives come to mind when I think of him: devious; underhand; sly; malicious; vengeful; narcissistic - a list as long as my arm. Trouble is that he's the Pope and is due some measure of obedience from us unless and until even one successor of the Apostles declares him to be a heretic spreading and/or enabling the spread of heresy. Cardinal Burke's Grand Old Duke of York tactics don't amount to a hill of beans unless and until he or some other Bishop comes out straight and says that Pope Francis is Judas masquerading as Peter. Further, that Bishop would have to challenge Pope Francis to repent publicly of his heresy and start doing his sacred duty or step aside. Can you see that happening? I can't. Given his track record, we know that this Pope's next Apostolic Exhortation will be all about the feel-good factor. We can consider ourselves fortunate if he hasn't decided to develop the laity's part in the Royal Priesthood to declare us all priests capable of consecrating bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ. We can surely expect him to encourage cafeteria Catholics to "make a mess" in their parishes. Making a mess of the Apostolic Faith is all he has proved himself capable of, empowering dissidents and trashing all things Catholic in his public statements and actions designed to win him popularity with the atheistic media. So, where does that leave us? First of all, we must pay attention to the state of our own souls. It won't do us a whole lot of good recognising heresy in someone else if we lose our own salvation through neglect of our own failings. Recognising the lack of belief in the Real Presence displayed by so many of our hierarchy and priests doesn't give us leave to walk away from Christ's Church. And it doesn't give us authority beyond our station. Without the Eucharist we will have no life in us. And we can't receive the Eucharist without being in a state of grace which means that we need absolution from priests - even priests whose own beliefs are questionable still have the authority to absolve our sins. Bishops have the authority to ordain priests - even Bishops who show every indication of having lost their faith. Jesus hasn't gone away. He will sustain us if we put our trust in Him. The best we can do is live the faith, pray, receive the Sacraments and repeat over and over to anyone who will listen that Hell is a real place, Satan a real being, mercy is contingent on true repentance, people can be condemned forever and that God asks nobody to commit adultery for the sake of the children. As time goes on, we may well have to search for properly ordained priests who use words of consecration that actually confect the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, but we're not there yet. Thank God for small mercies and pray for the Pope, Cardinal Schonborn, Cardinal Burke and all our clergy. Remember what we were told: that the devil is especially determined to win consecrated souls. They need our prayers to help sustain them against temptation. If we had as much trust in God as we expect to see in our Shepherds, we would be praying with confidence that God will fix our current shambles.
Very eloquent very truthful Also Padre Pio comes to mind with his humble obedience Obedience to me is a forgotten virtue
my question is: if only the council can declare the pope heretic, can this council be convoked only by another pope? So, any condemnation of the Pope comes after his death?
There will be peace after the chastisement. Those who are left will envy the dead and fear God again.
I think this is confused thinking. Let's go back to the moment Jesus gave Peter authority: "..I will build my church and the gates of hell will never prevail against it." I believe it is these words we need to be focusing on in these challenging times. There have been Popes way worse than our Francis. Think of the Medicis and the Borgias - downright criminals and yet, supernaturally, our Church has survived. This means that when Jesus promised that He would be with us always and that His spirit would guide the Church, he meant it. Any other organisation, built on the talents of human beings would by now have disintegrated into the history books as yet another failed dynasty. The Holy Roman Catholic Church remains: One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. It is not our job to condemn the Pope ! The wheat and the darnel, remember ? I really am suggesting a change in the way we view this Pontificate, otherwise, as we say in England, it's going to do your nut in.
I believe the anti-Christ comes after a period of 'peace' and just before the end of the world. But not everyone takes this position (eg our friend Fatima on the forum). 1. We are about to experience the minor chastisement (end of times but not the end of the world ) 2. Followed by a period of peace (triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary) 3. The major chastisement (Antichrist), and then the Second Coming of Jesus Christ
