A very thoughtful response Carol, thank you. No disrespect intended towards Padraig, I would not want his job as administrator of this forum! When I think about the Smoke of Satan, the word " Confusion" seems to stand out. There certainly does seem to be confusion at the Vatican and in the world! How sad and heartbreaking. Especially now, when the world needs Truth.
Concerning the many questionable messages on this forum, all members should be given the right to express their concerns, without having their own personal Salvation questioned. If not, how do we sort through the confusion? How do we find Truth?
I am so protective of our Catholic Faith, sometimes even like a Mama bear, and to see God misrepresented is just so hard to accept.

We must be rightly wary of unapproved prophesy, but also must bear in mind that all private revelations begin as unapproved ones. I personally adhere to approved prophesies, but in so doing I run the risk of being overly cautious and excessively scrupulous. I might well reject a vital message. If the 'Warning' occurs, and there is no guarantee that it will, are people to ignore it on the grounds that it hasn't yet been approved?

I think the best approach is to actively and categorically reject nothing that does not contradict dogma and tradition, even if one hesitates to lend one's active agreement (which one is in no way obliged to do in the case of any private prophesy, even one that is officially approved-which is why it is not quite fair to condemn Pope John XXIII for the Third Secret incident).

    MonicaHope,

Your welcome and you are correct, a lot of what we see occurring at the Vatican and in the world is heartbreaking. The world always need Truth.

I want to remind you that as Catholics we are not required to follow even approved apparitions and you are free to believe in whichever apparitions you so choose but we need to also be respectful of others' opinions which I believe that you have been.

We certainly all have the ability to express our concerns and in my other post I specified ways to do this. I don't believe that anyone here was questioning your salvation, I may have missed this if it did occur.

For the most part, I see the forum consisting of three departments of discussion: one for the Faith itself (ie. this thread), one for Apparitions (ie. the "Prophesy" thread) and one for Prayer and Devotion (ie. threads related to Novenas, Saints, etc.). Then, there are the supportive threads where we may look at signs and current events attempting to make an association with a particular prophesy or prophesies.

I suppose that I am suggesting that maybe the study of prophesy is not what you are interested in and you prefer to discuss topics about the Vatican and doctrine, etc., things related more directly to the Truth. Imho, since private revelation is not a requirement of the Faith you may not want to study it all because I think that it can add to a person's confusion. At a minimum, you may want to follow what many others do on the forum and stick with only approved prophesy.

PS - I am not certain that I understand what you have stated about God being misrepresented but I hope that I have helped you.

I see the Holy Father is to come here in a few months. This should be source of joy, but instead is a cause of trepidation. I am afraid he is coming her to nail down Amoris Laetitia, he has a lot of Liberal allies in High places here and that they consider it, 'Home turf'. So sad.

Indeed, and the Catholic Priests' Association are getting plenty of news coverage for their attempts to promote homosexual "families" and put them front and centre at the WMF. Nothing new from the CPA and nothing new from the homosexual lobby wanting it to be all about them. I would take it all with a grain of salt if I didn't have a strong suspicion that the CPA are acting as Vatican mouthpieces in preparation for the Vatican's homo roadshow arriving here in August.

I won't be camping but I'll be as far away from here as possible. It would have to be August when travel prices are at a premum and most other countries will be unbearably hot. Will offer up the heat for the holy souls and for Jesus to clean up the basket case which we all have hand in making of of His Church.

I wonder does he ever misdoubt himself? Does his conscience ever bother him? I would wake up in the night screaming.

Why would it bother him? Haven't you heard about the supremacy of conscience which makes all things acceptable to the God who can't be God without us?

I think when we come against someone or something that is very difficult our first instinctive reaction is to have the person or thing removed from our path. This is quite natural. But the lives of the saints show us that very person (s0 who seem most to cause us grief are the very ones that serve us most and bast, they are the very ladders by which we climb to heaven.

I have new neighbours at the moment. They have called , it seems to me everyone in the phone book to complain about me, the police, the dog wardens, the housing governance, any neighbour who will listen to them; I have been a little surprised they have not had the Navy involved,:):) all to no real success. The staying here has been a reign of petty spite and hate. Their latest is to pull up plants I Planted for spring in the garden outside and throw them to one side. Iheard her just now outside loudly calling me an , 'Old devil ..I can;t live here anymore' to a friend outside.

The effect of this has been to make me pray for them constantly. I was talking to Jesus about this and He said such things are the , 'Salt in my chips', in other words the tang that makes life for Christ worth living. The tiny little cross that gives us a little bit to give back to our Jesus who gave us our all.

Before Francis came along I just took it for granted that all the Popes God would give us would be saints and genius's. But like my neighbours Francis forced me to pray over and over again. He also forced me to think about the nature of the Church, the Papacy, right and wrong. He forced me to examine my hearts to the depths. We all lost so very many good friends on the forum.

Do I wish to see the Holy Father gone? No. he is one of my little ladders to heaven. But I would love to see him converted, just as I would love to see myself converted. I would love to see a new Pope, his name is Pope Francis, especially given us back from God all made over shiney new.

Padraig what in the world would make these people so hateful except a spiritual conflict. Ripping up flowers is the outside of enough. What is eating at them? How blessed they are to have a neighbor who prays for them. I'm going to join you. "Padraig's neighbors"
