    Praetorian,

I just want to clear something up, I never stated that I think that Our Lady of Fatima's only purpose was to warn mankind about nuclear weapons. I merely gave a possible explanation for the timing of 1960. Imho the timing fits, no matter who first developed nuclear warheads that could fit into ICBM's the fact that this was done by 1960 was the beginning of a huge threat to mankind. A threat that is still very relevant today.

PS- I was just kidding with "the tough statement".

All Hell Breaks Loose - German Bishops officially open up Holy Communion to Non-Catholics
The Francis Effect meeting the German Heresiarchy leads to an explosive decision of cataclysmic consequences.

Naturally, this Rome will not reject this aberration. This Vatican will welcome it. This pontificate will rejoice in it.

    Report and translations from CNA/EWTN:

Cardinal Reinhard Marx has announced that the German bishops' conference will publish a pastoral handout for married couples that allows Protestant spouses of Catholics "in individual cases" and "under certain conditions" to receive Holy Communion, provided they "affirm the Catholic faith in the Eucharist".

According to the press report of the Archbishop of Munich and Freising, the handout is primarily aimed at pastoral workers and is to be understood as a tool for pastoral situations, "to consider the concrete situation and come to a responsible decision about the possibility of the non-Catholic partner to receive Communion".

The announcement was made "after intensive debate" at the conclusion of the general assembly of the German bishops' conference, which was held Feb. 19 - 22 in the Bavarian city of Ingolstadt, and attended by 62 members of the bishops' conference under the leadership of conference chairman Cardinal Marx.

The press release declares that its premise is that "in individual cases, the spiritual hunger for receiving Communion together in interdenominational marriages can be so strong that it could jeopardise the marriage and the faith of the spouse". The statement goes on to say that this applies all the more to spouses who "already want to live out their marriage very consciously" as a Christian couple.

The central message of the handout is "that everyone in a marriage that binds denominations," after a "mature examination in a spiritual conversation with their priest or another person charged with pastoral care, that has come to a decision of conscience to affirm the Faith of the Catholic Church as well as thereby concluding a 'grave spiritual need' as well as fulfilling the desire to receive the Eucharist may approach the Lord's table and receive Communion."

Cardinal Marx' statement emphasises: "We are talking about decisions in individual cases that require a careful spiritual discernment."

The handout is expected to be published in a few weeks' time.

This in my opinion is worse than giving Holy Communion to active adulterers.
How on Earth can anyone justify giving Holy Communion to someone who can't even go to confession?

Honestly answer me that. Are Protestants somehow immune to sin?

At least with the active adulterers they went through the charade of having them go to confession and "confess" a sin that they intended to commit again and telling them they were forgiven.

Now you don't even need to go to confession. Just talk to a priest, get the okay, and go straight to Holy Communion. No need even to be Catholic anymore.

The Church of everyone and rainbows Yay!!!.

What a farce this is all becoming.

Carol55, you are very charitable towards PF, still thinking that PF himself has good and holy intentions, and is quite unaware of the evil plans of those around him.
Well, I don't think this is plausible. PF's actions and his own words at off-the-cuff interviews reveal his true intentions; and they are not those of a good shepherd but a wolf.

The World Sides with Pope Francis against Catholics

International Monetary Fund Bigwig Calls for "Interdiction" of EWTN

    by Christopher A. Ferrara
    February 21, 2018

As this truly incredible pontificate moves into its fifth year of endless controversy, confusion and division in the Church, the EWTN commentators dubbed “the Papal Posse” — anchorman Raymond Arroyo, Father Gerald Murray, and Robert Royal — have served the Church admirably with their sober critiques of the alarming course this Pope has charted.

This session of “the Papal Posse” in particular demonstrates the effectiveness with which the members of the “posse” are exposing the consequent grave dangers to the Church. The panel discusses the widening disastrous impact of the novelties of Amoris Laetitia, the impending sellout of the faithful Catholics of China, and the Vatican’s failure to effectively address the consequences of the homosexual infiltration of the priesthood which has bred innumerable sexual abuse scandals that this Pope has done nothing to remedy, as shown by his dogged defense of Bishop Barros despite compelling evidence of his complicity in the sexual abuses committed by the infamous Father Karadima in Chile.

The session includes appropriately scathing commentary on Father (“the Papal Mouthpiece”) Antonio Spadaro’s recent address essentially announcing a sellout to the Chinese communist government and a surrender in the culture war with the modern secular state in general, as well as Cardinal Cupich’s ludicrous “New Momentum” seminars on AL, to be joined by some 37 bishops, which, given his past statements, will apparently be dedicated to implementing moral subversion according to AL’s version of situation ethics under the guise of “discernment.”

Given EWTN’s dependence on support from the diocesan establishment, this kind of candor about our situation requires considerable courage, given the potential for official reprisal in the climate engendered by “the Dictator Pope.” And it is precisely the last session of “the Papal Posse” that has triggered a demand for reprisal from none other than one Tony Annett, a bigwig of the International Monetary Fund, the Washington-based primary lender to the New World Order (NWO), who tweeted:

“Make no mistake, these attacks on @antoniospadaro and @CardinalBCupich represent ‘total war’ on Pope Francis. Time to interdict EWTN until they get rid of @raymond arroyo."
This demand by a layman for the ecclesiastical penalty of an interdiction — which essentially “bans a person or people from accessing most Church Sacraments” — unless Arroyo is fired was promptly retweeted by none other than Spadaro.

Here we have a clear demonstration of the extent to which this pontificate and the interests of the NWO are aligned. It is also a sign of just how desperate Francis’ Vatican is to silence the rising voice of the faithful as Francis and company attempt to steamroll the entire Church into compliance with unheard-of, utterly destructive novelties that spring from the mind of one man and his collaborators.

But the effort to suppress the truth will fail. As The Remnant’s Michael Matt has so pungently observed: “The jig is up. The cat’s out of the Vatican’s bag. The world is onto them. Get rid of Raymond Arroyo and he’ll become an even more outspoken critic of the Vatican dog and pony show. Consign him to the Gulag and a dozen others will step up and take his place. Nobody is falling for it anymore, Father Tony….nobody!”

Stay the course, EWTN. And stay on your horses, Papal Posse. The ride is going to get a lot rougher, but at the end of the road is an inevitable ecclesial restoration that will confound the vainglory of those who think they can remake the Church that Christ founded. God will have it so, and His Blessed Mother will be the instrument for this ultimate triumph. So She promised the faithful at Fatima.

    Wherein Rutler thrashes @AntonioSpadaro
Posted on 22 February 2018 by Fr. John Zuhlsdorf

At Crisis, Fr. George Rutler has posted a potent counterpoint to Jesuit jibber-jabber (I know… that could be taken for a tautology). He goes after Antonio Spadaro, SJ, who has issued all manner of nonsense with Olympian authority.

Spadaro is one of the chief cadres of the New catholic Red Guard, who target for persecution anyone who insists that 2 plus 2 still equals 4.

You simply have to read the whole of Rutler’s take down, perhaps with a refreshing drink near to hand. I warn you, however, to sip judiciously, lest you spray your screen. Rutler’s piece is a deadly hoot.

Here’s a sample, in medias res, with my usual:

    […]

Father Antonio Spadaro, a close associate of Pope Francis, raised eyebrows in July 2017 when he described religious life in the United States, with such confidence that can come only from a profound knowledge of a subject or a total lack of it. Father Spadaro advises the Holy Father, who had never visited the United States before becoming pope. In an essay in Civilta Cattolica called “Evangelical Fundamentalism and Catholic Integralism,” Father Spadaro spoke with disdain of a cabal formed by Evangelicals and Catholics motivated by a “triumphalist, arrogant, and vindictive ethnicism” which is creating an “apocalyptic geopolitics.” Religious fundamentalists behind this plot have included Nixon, Reagan, Bush, and Trump who is a Manichaean. The co-author of this imaginative literary exercise was a Protestant minister, Marcelo Figuero who is editor-in-chief of the new Argentinian edition of L’Osservatore Romano to which office he brings the rich systematic theology of Argentinian Presbyterianism. The two authors were rhetorically florid in denouncing Yankee racism, obscurantism, and fascism, so unlike the temperate history of Spadaro’s own peninsula and Figuero’s Argentinian utopia. If they want to condescend to the USA, they need a loftier platform.

    […]

OUCH. But the drubbing goes on.

    […]

Later, in a well publicized comment on “Twitter” which operates according to stable and constant principles of applied engineering, Father Spadaro typed: “In theology 2 + 2 can equal 5. Because it has to do with God and the real life of people…” To put a charitable gloss on that, he may have simply meant theology applied to pastoral situations where routine answers of manualists may be inadequate. But he has made his arithmetic a guide to dogma, as when he said in his Boston speech that couples living in “irregular” family situations “can be living in God’s grace, can love and also grow in a life of grace.” Yet, despite his concern for freedom of thought and expression, Father Spadaro has recently expressed sympathy for calls to censor Catholic television commentators who insist that 2+2 = 4. [He seems to agree with a call that EWTN be “interdicted” unless Raymond Arroyo is fired.]

There are two things to consider here. First, some clergy of Father Spadaro’s vintage grew up in a theological atmosphere of “Transcendental Thomism.” Aquinas begins the Summa Theologica asserting in the very first Question, four times, that theology has a greater certitude than any other science. While it gives rise to rhymes and song, it is solid science, indeed the Queen of Sciences. Transcendental Thomism was Karl Rahner’s attempt to wed Thomistic realism with Kantian idealism. Father Stanley Jaki, theologian and physicist, called this stillborn hybrid “Aquikantianism.” But if stillborn, its ghosts roam corridors of ecclesiastical influence. This really is not theology but theosophy, as romantic as Teilhard de Chardin, as esoteric as a Rosicrucian, and as soporific as the séances of Madame Blavatsky. The second point is that not all cultures have an instinct for pellucid expression. The Italian language is so beguiling that it can create an illusion that its rotundity is profundity, and that its neologisms are significant. [ROFL!] When it is used to calling you a “Cattolico Integralista” or a “Restauratore” the cadences almost sound like a compliment. Even our Holy Father, who often finds relief from his unenviable burdens by using startling expressions, said on June 19, 2016: “We have a very creative vocabulary for insulting others.”

    […]

    There’s a lot more.

Your enjoyment of this piece would be greatly enhanced by Mystic Monk coffee – or something else – in your very own CLEMENT XIVth mug!

This is the text that ComeSoon referred to:
"There will be a wicked council planned and prepared that will change the countenance of the Church. Many will lose the Faith; confusion will reign everywhere. The sheep will search for their shepherds in vain.

A schism will tear apart the holy tunic of My Son. This will be the end of times, foretold in the Holy Scriptures and recalled to memory by Me in many places. The abomination of abominations will reach its peak and it will bring the chastisement announced at La Salette. My Son’s arm, which I will not be able to hold back anymore, will punish this poor world, which must expiate its crimes.

One will only speak about wars and revolutions. The elements of nature will be unchained and will cause anguish even among the best (the most courageous). The Church will bleed from all Her wounds. Happy are they who will persevere and search for refuge in My Heart, because in the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph."

I strongly believe that the messages of our Lady of Akita essentially revealed the 3rd secret of Fatima.

    October 13, 1973

"My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior."

    After a short silence:

"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests."

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

"The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them"

"With courage, speak to your superior. He will know how to encourage each one of you to pray and to accomplish works of reparation."

"It is Bishop Ito, who directs your community."

And She smiled and then said:

"You have still something to ask? Today is the last time that I will speak to you in living voice. From now on you will obey the one sent to you and your superior."

"Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved."

So, yes, I do believe that the 3rd secret was warning about the masonic/communist/satanic infiltration into the Church right up to the top. Vatican II was the event that we were being warned about. Just look at the devastating consequences of Vatican II.

And I also believe that we are in the times our Lady has been warning about. Satan is ruling at the Vatican.

    Sg,

Thank you, I think that I am charitable towards Pope Francis but I don't think that he is completely unaware of what is occurring. In addition, I do think that he has made a lot of mistakes but you appear to have put a lot of words in mouth in that post.

I still feel that Father Spadaro referring to Pope Francis as Bergoglio is downright disrespectful and I think this may very well come as a surprise to Pope Francis.

Sg, You know that is not the text that I was referring to in my post. I made it very clear that I was talking about the purported text to the third secret that was posted on the NovusOrdoWatch site which appears to be a very anti-Catholic website.

    Good night and God bless.

Illinois Bishop: Senator Dick Durbin Will Not Be Allowed Communion After His Late Term Abortion Vote

Illinois Bishop Thomas Paprocki announced this week that Catholic Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) will not be admitted to Holy Communion following his vote for late term abortions of babies in the last trimester.

Fourteen Catholic senators voted against the bill that would have prohibited abortions starting at 20 weeks after fertilization, including Sen. Richard Durbin, whose residence is in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois. In April 2004, Sen. Durbin’s pastor, then Msgr. Kevin Vann (now Bishop Kevin Vann of Orange, CA), said that he would be reticent to give Sen. Durbin Holy Communion because his pro-abortion position put him outside of communion or unity with the Church’s teachings on life. My predecessor, now Archbishop George Lucas of Omaha, said that he would support that decision. I have continued that position.

Canon 915 of the Catholic Church’s Code of Canon Law states that those “who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.” In our 2004 Statement on Catholics in Political Life, the USCCB said, “Failing to protect the lives of innocent and defenseless members of the human race is to sin against justice. Those who formulate law therefore have an obligation in conscience to work toward correcting morally defective laws, lest they be guilty of cooperating in evil and in sinning against the common good.” Because his voting record in support of abortion over many years constitutes “obstinate persistence in manifest grave sin,” the determination continues that Sen. Durbin is not to be admitted to Holy Communion until he repents of this sin.
