Destroying the Magisterium has been the goal of the modernists for a very long time. Wasn't it Jesuits in North America who led the charge against Humane Vitae? It was Bishops in Europe who led the disobedience to St. John Paul's papacy. They joined forces and found a Jesuit from Argentina to implement their plan. He writes ambiguous documents and makes supposedly off-the-cuff statements that are borderline heretical and refuses to clarify them. Then, a Cardinal here or a Bishop there or someone "close to the Pope" supplies his own interpretation which is heretical but those interpretations are never corrected. Voila, 2,000 years of Magisterial teaching is undone but nobody can pin it on Pope Francis because his documents or statements themselves don't contain blatant heresy. That saves him from being declared a heretic by any of his successors while keeping the heresies in practice. Isn't that what's happening with the Jesuit Superior General's declaration that Christians invented Satan? Pope Francis has already said that damned souls are annihilated which removes the belief in eternal punishment with Satan who now doesn't exist. Sure, Pope Francis mentions Satan and Hell plenty of times but only when he's damning Catholics who already believe in both Satan and Hell but aren't on board with his modernisms. Absent a rebuke to the Superior General of his own religious Order, the Jesuits can now preach that heresy in perpetuity.

Pope Francis says he can't ordain women because he's a faithful son of the Church and then sets up yet another committee to examine women's ordination. He avoids accusations of heresy by restricting it to examining the question of women deacons and includes on the committee a woman who campaigns for women priests. Another Bishops says the question of women priests is not settled, and the Superior General of the Jesuits says that the future hierarchy will be completely different. This has been going on since the beginning of the Francis papacy. He makes the remarks or issues the documents, quickly followed by one of the pack declaring its heretical interpretation. There's no shortage of examples. In the theology of the modernists 2+2 can equal anything you want it to mean, especially if you're one of the Pope's favourites, one of whom has already said that Pope Francis is making sure that none of his innovations can be rolled back by a future Pontiff. This from the Pope who has been undermining the Deposit of Faith passed down intact by all of his predecessors.

It's not particularly Communist, Capitalist or any other of the usual "ists" or "isms". It's demonic but now that Satan is an invention it's anti-Catholic to say so. No doubt somebody will be along in a minute to say that it's all holy in the spirit of St. Ignatius.

Yes, that rings a bell, especially if it has a sub-heading about the New Age.

    Praetorian,

Right now, the centers of outright persecution are the Middle East, China, and N. Korea. Here in the USA and Europe the persecution has attempted to stay below the radar screen, but no longer! Open persecution will accelerate. I'm sure that the powers that hate us know of the tiny gathering places and are preparing to take us down. Let us remain vigilant and avoid infighting for our energies must be directed only to living in the Will of God and helping to save souls. Come, Holy Spirit, come...(y)

Luckily the internet is difficult to control though. We may one day have to go on secret sites etc. but for right now it can be a tool for faithful Catholics to connect. Hopefully a movement is forming.

Did you see the new bill that Garabandal posted on one of the other threads about a province in Canada passing a law that would allow the state to remove children from homes that oppose LGBTQ politics? Scary stuff.

Is the devil real. Of course. The Holy Father has preached numerous times about him. But he is also very active in the Exorcism apostolate. As for attacking the head of the Jesuit order, it would be very difficult unless they stray off course like the US nuns. The Jesuit order is still very powerful. Not sure the Pope can do anything.

So although the Catechism teaches us that the Supreme Pontiff has,

'full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered."403'

He did not feel able to even contradict his fellow Jesuit by opening his mouth to do so. Even though a simple exorcist priest did so.

We appear then to be offered two alternatives. A Pope who is a frightened mouse, afraid to act or speak out or a silent accomplice.

I do not know which of these is the worst. A scared mouse or a fellow traveller.

882 The Pope, Bishop of Rome and Peter's successor, "is the perpetual and visible source and foundation of the unity both of the bishops and of the whole company of the faithful."402 "For the Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ, and as pastor of the entire Church has full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered."403

Is the hierarchy perhaps free to teach what they find most to their liking on matters of religion, or what they expect will be most pleasing to the proponents of certain current views opposed to all doctrine? Certainly not! The prime duty of the episcopate is to transmit strictly and faithfully the original message of Christ, the sum total of the truths which He revealed and confided to the Apostles as necessary for salvation.

    Pope Paul VI

The sacred deposit of truth must be safeguarded. It is absolutely vital that the Church never for an instant lose sight of the holy patrimony of truth inherited from the Fathers ... This is the certain and unchangeable doctrine to which the faithful owe obedience.

    Pope John XXIII

I accept with sincere belief the doctrine of faith as handed down to us from the Apostles by the orthodox Fathers, always in the same sense and with the same interpretation.

    Pope St. Pius X

So what you are saying is the Pope can promote the Global warming nonsense.
He can do Theology on his knees, in front of Kasper, but not in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
He can over rule the Synod of Bishops on the family and include what they rejected.
But it would be difficult to correct the head of the Jesuits?
    ''If he strays off course''.
Denying the devil is off course.
    Why would this be difficult?

We live in terrifying times, if it were not for the Lord telling us not to be afraid I would be like padraig's mouse up above. Not knowing where to turn as the cat approaches. This is why the prayer life is so important to each and every one of us. We need dedicated time, just a little each day to pray and listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit prompting us. It is easy to get caught up and look over this.

Pope Francis has no problem attacking those who follow the teachings/doctrines of the faith, but will remain silent when statements are being made by the head of his Jesuit order or when it comes to co-habitation, sodomy or adultery. This is very telling to say the least.

You are absolutely right. We have to pull back from the battle for a time and remember to seek spiritual warfare tools.

There is a line in the Book of Revelations, which I must look up. The angels in heaven are angry at what is going on on Earth and demand that God intervene. God does so seeing , that if it were possible, even the Righteous be lost.

I believe we have, in fact, reached this point.

I sense we are very very close to this moment as well. It will take only one major event (war, collapse of currency etc..) and we will be totally alone with just a few around us that keep the faith as it was handed on. I have mentally been trying to prepare myself for this point through thought and prayer. Very close now.

Padraig, Maybe you are thinking of the martyrs...
    Revelation 6
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
