Yes this is what worries me most. Bad enough that the Black Pope , the Superior General of the Jesuits comes out with this ; but that he is allowed to come with it. Silence appears to signal consent or agreement. This is terrifying. It reminds me of Paul in Ephesians who speaks of a Spiritual Battle; (Ephesians 6:10-20) 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. It also reminds me of Blessed Pope Paul and his remarks about the smoke of Satan having entered the CHurch: http://www.catholicstand.com/109/

It's New Age stuff. During St. John Paul's papacy, the Church recognised the problem and published a document about it which I had been reading and was about to link in a post responding to Carol on another thread. Unfortunately, I was called away before I had finished writing the response to Carol and now I can't remember which thread so can't respond to Carol in context. I would have to search the Vatican website to find it now and don't have the time, but it is worth reading. Another document on the Vatican website (I think it was an introduction to the one about the New Age Movement) did mention a link with Masonry and gnosticism. As far as I can remember, the document contained references to the New World Order, Globalism, and One World Religion (or the mantra about all religions being the same). A quick search produced this short article welcoming the Vatican's document: http://www.staycatholic.com/new_age.htm They mention a Dominican, the late Fr. Cletus Wessels, who had no problem with New Age ideas: Some within the Church, however, do not find such practices worrisome. Dominican Father Cletus Wessels, author of The Holy Web: Church and the New Universe Story, said although he had not read the new document, he is not worried about New Age ideas. I’ve been accused of being New Age. Lots of people are," said Father Wessels, who taught theology for 18 years at the Aquinas Institute, a graduate school of theology in St. Louis. "The Vatican is swiping at these and other little things that are bothering them," he said, "but we are coming into contact with new things and there is a desire to explore them." Have a look at this blog post written after the death of Fr. Wessels, and have a look at the profile of the blogger: http://thewildreed.blogspot.ie/2009/08/remembering-cletus-wessels-op-1930-2009.html St. John Paul recognised that this problem was infecting the Church. He did try to clamp down on the Jesuit heretics and apostates but they didn't go away. For all that they bad-mouthed and disobeyed both him and Pope Benedict, had either Pope been half as harsh as their critics, there would be no Jesuit order now and the Church would be better for the Order's demise. Anyway, it looks like the bad apples spread their rot throughout the order and it was only a matter of time before their devotees resurfaced. Sadly, it appears that the infection wasn't confined to the Jesuits and could well have spread throughout many religious orders. We have been bemoaning the dearth of vocations in traditionally Christian countries. Perhaps we should be thanking the Holy Spirit that we don't have more Fr. Sosas or Fr. Wessels in every seminary, educational institution and parish throughout the world. We can pray that Almighty God is merciful to Fr. Wessel and pray that the "spirit of Vatican 2" cult will die out along with the dinosaurs who continue to propagate it. The logical next question to Fr. Sosa is: if Christians invented Satan to explain evil, did the Jews invent one, omnipotent God to explain good? Fr. Sosa would no doubt go to great lengths to say no and explain why because even Pope Francis couldn't turn a blind eye to that, leaving Fr. Sosa with the authority of just another defrocked priest, but that wouldn't (and won't) stop the question being repeated and eliciting a yes response with equally sound arguments.
Thank you all for the contributions on this thread. My husband was educated by the Jesuits and had nothing good to say about them. He found some truly wonderful Jesuits along the way but said that they were either forced out or sent to some remote village in a third world country. He often cited that they believe that Eucharistic Adoration was "cookie worship" and veneration of Our Blessed Mother was discouraged because the Virgin birth was questionable at best.
No he is not a Catholic. But since the Jesuit Order elected a man who is not a Catholic what does it say about the Order itself? If I were Pope I would disband them at once. But since the Pope is a Jesuit and from South America too, I won't hold my breath. But they certainly should be disbanded.
Dolours, I think that the thread was probably "Scripture and the End Times Discussion". So, One World Religion and then we "all" follow the shepherd, the AC, off the cliff? Hopefully not all of us but many, many.
CD, Spectator.org was giving me an error, so I found the article on another site. I believe it is the same. https://onepeterfive.com/popes-marxist-head-jesuits/ http://prophecyupdate.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-marxist-head-of-jesuits.html
It didn't begin in Venezuela. It began in Europe and North America in response to Humane Vitae, was rocked back on its heels during the papacy of St. John Paul, worked out a new strategy in St. Gallen, Switzerland, did a trial run at the Conclave where Pope Benedict was elected, gave him the elbow and took over when he resigned. It doesn't take a psychic to picture the type of nocturnal visitor Cardinal Bernadin had knocking on his door during the last Conclave to thank him for a favour rendered and tell him that Bergoglio could win the election. It might take an ostrich to believe the visitor was the Holy Spirit.
It used very broad terms and dealt mostly with practises such as yoga. It also mentioned extreme attitudes towards environmentalism. The topics I mentioned were only touched on but it was written around 2003. The new agers have progressed since then.
I feel like I am in the middle of a science fiction film. Of course it was all prophesied long ago, including Fatima. Still these devils are coming right out into the open now and tearing off their masks. They must be sure they have won the game to do this. It must be so hard being an honest priest, Bishop Cardinal or nun knowing who has seized control. How the devil must be laughing. I can see now why Our Lady wanted places like this forum started. But I am still full of hope and confidence in God and the Mother of God. It ain't over till the fat lady sings. The devil and his friends in the Vatican are in for a rude awakening.
Padraig, I do not know if you know how truly important this forum is. Error is so widespread and so very, very few see it. If it weren't for tiny gathering places like this one to keep the flickering flame of the faith alive we would be much worse off. There are so very few places even on the web to find good solid Catholics with their heads screwed on straight. I know none of us sees everything totally clearly at this moment, but so many Catholics now are truly deluded. It is as if they are asleep. I shudder when I think of some of the quotes of the saints about how few go to heaven, and they made those statements in times when the Catholic Church was in much better shape. It is so very sad
Well no one goes to either heaven of hell by accident. I blame a lot of what is happening on sheer cowardice and funk on the part of those people who know rightly what is happening in positions of power and influence within the Church but choose to stay silent in case they risk their asses. May God forgive them for this.
Yep. So sad. There are some very Holy Jesuits who must endure a martyrdom but they are not plentiful.
The motto of the Jesuits is Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam - For the Greater Glory of God. It seems that the fruit of that motto is mostly now a thing of the past. Funnily enough that is the name my choir chose to call itself.
The resurgence of communism by liberation theology has not reached Europe, but it has emerged in Venezuela. Priest's without fear will now attempt to destroy the Magesterium.
I agree, there really are very few places with good solid teaching. You all possibly already know of it, but did you ever hear of the youtube channel called "Sensus Fidelium" ? That has really helped me grow in my faith in the past year. They have many homilies like this one -
I highly recommend the Sensus Fidelium Youtube Channel too. The sermons there are amazing true Catholic teaching. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/user/onearmsteve4192/videos In case anyone wants to just listen to the sermons on MP3 they can be found at the links here: http://www.audiosancto.org/ Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click a link. I usually link to the "Regina Prophetarum" website because I like the way it is laid out.
