    Another imminent extinction of dinosaurs.

I was delighted to read in my issue of 'Alive!', a monthly pro-life paper here in Ireland, that I collected at Mass today, of the fate of the Irish Examiner newspaper. In recent years this newspaper has adopted a radical liberal agenda stance, but has seen its circulation collapse. There is a change recently in editors, but most likely they are too stupid to change their stance and will continue their path to inevitable extinction. I am fairly sure they will be followed by many venerable and vaunted publications throughout the world. The people are onto them.

Contagion! Italy votes No. Austria chickened out, but only a temporary hiccup, I would think. The liberal/globalist fortress is showing cracks everywhere.

I have mixed feelings about the no vote in Italy. While not being a huge fan of Renzi, I can't think of anything worse than the result being a boost for Beppe Grillo's party. It will be interesting (and possibly worrying) to see what happens with the Italian banks.

At least the pro-EU parties are finally acknowledging that they need to pay some attention to the voters. I'm fairly sure that the winner in Austria has made noises about the EU needing reform but I don't see how he could effect any changes since his role will be mostly ceremonial.

Great to see Hollande facing up to reality in France. Looks like it will either be Fuillon or LePen in France. If LePen weren't in the race, the media would be calling Fuillon the far right or extremist candidate but there's a limit to the number of people they can demonise, especially when they are down to choosing between "demons".

Scratch what I said about Austria's President-elect. Turns out that he is an advocate of globalisation, open borders, gay marriage and most likely, since he's a former leader of the Green Party, population control. Thank God his will be a mainly ceremonial role. His opponent got 46% of the vote which isn't bad considering how he was portrayed as another Hitler.

It's pathetic that they failed to elect a man who had been cheated of the post in the previous election. Many Austrians must be morally weak.

Unfortunately, we require complete financial and economic collapse to defeat the left/liberals. How else can the power of teachers' unions be broken? And education is key. I suspect that teachers currently would refuse to teach a conservative curriculum to our children if any government attempted to impose one. The Left must be eradicated ruthlessly from our institutions and only complete breakdown of the established system will provide us that opportunity. A collapse of the Eurozone would be a start.

JILL STEIN GOES COMPLETELY INSANE IN MICHIGAN

    From the Detroit News:

Stein seeks to disqualify 2 justices in recount case

Lansing — Green Party candidate Jill Stein wants two Republican-nominated justices on the Michigan Supreme Court disqualified from considering a lawsuit seeking to stop the election recount because they’re on President-elect Donald Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court nomination short list.

Southfield attorney Mark Brewer, who is representing Stein, filed a motion Tuesday morning seeking to have Chief Justice Robert Young Jr. and Justice Joan Larsen disqualified from hearing a lawsuit brought by Attorney General Bill Schuette.

“Chief Justice Young and Justice Larsen thus have a substantial personal and professional interest in the election of Trump as president,” Brewer wrote in the filing.

Brewer argued Young and Larsen would “create an appearance of impropriety” they were to rule in Trump’s favor and end the recount, which commenced Monday under order by a federal judge.

“This litigation thus offers Chief Justice Young and Justice Larsen the opportunity to rule against Stein and hinder or stop her recount effort,” Brewer wrote in a one-page court filing.

Brewer worked to defeat Republican-nominated justices on the Michigan Supreme Court in his past job at chairman of the Michigan Democratic Party.

The Michigan Supreme Court has not taken action to consider Schuette’s request to bypass the Court of Appeals to hold an emergency hearing this week.

The Court of Appeals has scheduled a 4 p.m. hearing Tuesday in Lansing to consider two lawsuits brought by Trump and Schuette seeking to end what they consider to be a frivolous recount sparked by Stein’s request.

Stein finished fourth in the presidential election and her attorneys have acknowledged she has no chance of overturning Michigan’s election results in her favor.

Trump, a Republican, defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton by 10,704 votes in the Nov. 8 general election.

The statewide hand recount of 4.8 million ballots began mid-day Monday in Oakland and Ingham counties.

Election workers in Kalamazoo, Kent, Macomb, Ottawa, Washtenaw and Wayne counties started their recounts at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Other counties will begin recounting ballots later this week in a staggered schedule developed by the state Bureau of Elections.

    Oh. My. Gherkins.

Probably the wrong place to post this but I am going to New York in February ! That might not sound like a big deal but I have always wanted to visit the USA since I was little and my daughter has told me that my husband is taking us all out for a 4 day trip as a family Christmas present. (It's ok, we always tell eachother about big surprises in case it involves sorting out new passports etc).

I am soooo excited. Um, can anyone suggest some Catholic sight-seeing places. St P's Cathedral is on my list.

Charlie Johnston on his thread, 'The Nextt Right Step' appears to have giving Donald Trump some kind of divine anointing for his Presidency:

    https://charliej373.wordpress.com/

I was at first very dismayed and then in prayer and further reflection totally appalled by this. The role of Prophet is not to step into the role of politics in this way. Donald Trump is not a King. Imagine St Bernadette declaring herself for the next President of France.

Such was not her role. Sadly I have come to the conclusion that Charlie is a false Prophet. ..and I name him so...politics and Prophecy make a very, very, very bad mix.

It appears we have another , but much worse, 'Locutions to the World ', on our hands. This is merely human reflection , cast as Divine.

Avoid this like the plague. Run from it as you would run from the devil himself.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa 55:8-9)

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (1Co 2:12-16)

But please, in your mercy pray for Charlie. I am deeply saddened by this turn of events.

    Times of confusion indeed.

Padraig, you need to have another read at what he wrote about Trump. Charlie still says Trump is not the answer to our problems and that Trump will not become President on January 20, 2017.

In addition, I'm not sure what you're now appalled about that he's mixed politics with his prophecy, for goodness sake that's pretty much been his main topic of discussion for the past 2 1/2 years, Charlie is all about politics most of the time seeing how that's his background. His whole premise starts with politics, that the next President of the U.S. will not come from the electoral (political) process and that whole US Government will fall.

Charlie's article is simply saying that he agrees with the moves Trump has made so far, and I agree with him. The moves Trumps has made have been very positive, but he's not President yet. Some other people who read it also thought Charlie was changing his mind and that he now thinks Trump will be President, but that's not what Charlie said, he simply said he agrees with what he's done so far (and he's right). He still says (as of yesterday) that if Trump becomes President then Charlie will declare himself unreliable and go away, so not sure what you read but you need to have another look:

"With respect, Tricia, there is nothing to clean up on liking how Trump has handled himself and stating we are not out of the woods. If there is a peaceful transition of power from Obama to Trump, I will go away. If there is not, be not afraid, God has a plan."

I have a slightly different take on Charlie. A few years ago I used to follow Charlie and his blog. He is a politician, but I have always felt he has had mystical experiences. What I have come to believe in the past few years is he struggles interpreting his own prophecies ("last normal Christmas in 2014"). This could be because he interjects some politics into his prophecy or he likes attention and exagerates a little to much. What attracts many to him is his likable character and many who follow him seem to have little/no understanding of Catholic prophecy. Just my take and i could be all wet on this.
