2016 Presidential Election Thread

I have such a huge feeling of peace at the minute, but it does not come from nowhere else but prayer.

O ne of the things the Lord has been constanty reminding me of is to use every moment I can in my day to intensify my prayer and I have.

This morning I heard the birds singing in the tress, such a little thing, but we need to hear the birds singing otherwise we will loose our peace

 

We loose ourselves in the small things of war and elections whereas it is in the birds singing, we hear the big.

 

But who stops, prayerfully, to hear the birds sing?

 

I did , this morning and it threw me into ecstasy in the train station, in heaven already/ I looked up to the trees and they were just so many angels, the sun shining through them.

Heaven on a tree.

 

I remember in preschool there was a bully named Matthew (also my name), I called him mean Matthew. One day he took my oatmeal cookie that my mom had packed for me, the next time I had one I offered it to him, which he thought was funny. He kept being mean, verbally. So I drew a picture of us holding hands and gave it to him, which he tore up and threw on the ground; I cried. Later, he pushed me down on the playground, this was the first time he'd gotten physical with me. The next thing I remember I'm sitting on his chest with my knees in his elbows and pummeling him in the face. The playground monitor pulled me off of him and was horrified, saying that she thought I was such a nice kid, etc. I told her he'd pushed me down, and she relaxed a bit, but I was crying much harder than before, its not nice confronting that side of yourself. At any rate, he left everyone alone after that.

Should I have just taken it? I don't know, but my conscience feels clean from that.

Violence is disgusting and awful, but I think at times it's necessary to defend the weak and your country.

 

Evil people will stir up trouble no matter the outcome of the election. Be careful not to let yourself be used by those who always know how to put enough distance between themselves and the people they manipulate. You have a rule of law. The overwhelming majority of your law enforcement personnel are good, honourable people. Let them do their job and give them the support they ask for, not the support other people tell you they want. And pray like you've never prayed before. Pray for your country, your family, your friends, the people charged with representing and protecting you, and most of all pray for your enemies.

 

It's a difficult one. I suppose there's a time for violence and a time not for it. You were well justified, but in my previous example of Our Lord with St. Peter in Gethsemane, violence was not appropriate. That's why we need to pray for guidance, methinks.

 

Some times when you are in a hole digging is only going to get you dug in deeper.

Digigng is not going to help in this case.

I'm not saying digging is wrong, I;m just saying you are not going to dig your way of of this hole,

Digging is just going to dig to you deeper

Sometimes when a storm comes it is the biggest tree that comes out best.

Sometimes it is the tree that bends.

This is a really, really big storm, .We need to bend.

 

If I thought picking up a gun and using it was going to see us through this, believe me I would be the very, very first in line. But it won't , so that's that.

 

But I do beleive we will have to fight. But after we are defeated. In bothe the USA and Europe.

But we have to be totally defeated first as Geosrge Washington was.....then w must cross our own river.. but we must be totally defeated first.... and learn to rely on God ..once again to relearn the lessones of the Firest War of Independance..

 

I do believe America will rise again. But she must be defeated first.

..in order to find herself again.

Are you saying that total, utter collapse is necessary in order that those in good standing with God might rebuild from the rubble?

 

Yes the United States will cease to exist.

We see the same in Israel in Srcipture when the Kingdom was divided.

7 then I will remove Israel from the land I have given them, I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence, and Israel will be mocked and ridiculed among all the nations. 8 This temple will become a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by it will be shocked and will hiss out their scorn, saying, ‘Why did the Lord do this to this land and this temple?’ 9 Others will then answer, ‘Because they abandoned the Lord their God, who led their ancestors out of Egypt. I listen to the birds singing in my garden every morning. It's such a lovely way to start the day listening to creation praising the Creator. It's my favourite moment and gives me peace.

 

Just caught up with all these posts on the state of the world. Yes we are in deep trouble on every side. So many prophets it's difficult to know who to follow or believe. I've decided to keep my eyes on Medjugorje. I think it's significant that Marjana has published her autobiography and also was prominently involved in the film Apparition Hill. She is the one who will reveal the secrets.

 

Fits with the prophecies, doesn't it?

 

I worked with a woman who just vicious to everyone. One day I just let loose and blasted her. After that best friends! Some times bullies just need a punch in the nose! And no, I am not sorry I did it at all!

Ok, how about a little laughter?

 

I don't think that America has abandoned God. A large chunk of powerful people in the US have but there are plenty of very good, devout Christians there who are an example to the rest of us. The powerful and their supporters are not the whole country.

 

Yes but as again with Scripture they will rise agian, not as they were but as they shall be...cleansed in the Fire of the Lord...
