2016 Presidential Election Thread

I find myself praying, "Come Lord Jesus" all of the time now.

 

I have seen others try and use Saint Faustina's personal, private "illumination" in support of a global illumination but I just don't find any support in either Sacred Scripture or Tradition for a global "Warning." God could have forced the world to acknowledge His existence long ago, but instead of that route He chose to institute the Catholic Church as the way to salvation. What I do find support for in Saint Faustina's Diary is for a miraculous event where the whole world will see the Sign of the Cross visible in the sky. This event is indeed supported in both Sacred Scripture where Christ says we will see the sign of the Son of Man and in the statement of at least one Pope, Pius IX, who wrote that, "There will come a great prodigy, which will fill the world with awe. But this prodigy will be preceded by the triumph of a revolution during which the Church will go through ordeals that are beyond description."

 

The warning may well be mentioned in the Book of Revelation.


Then I watched while he broke open the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; the sun turned as black as dark sackcloth and the whole moon became like blood. The stars in the sky fell to the earth like unripe figs shaken loose from the tree in a strong wind. Then the sky was divided like a torn scroll curling up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place. The kings of the earth, the nobles, the military officers, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid themselves in caves and among mountain crags. They cried out to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come and who can withstand it?” (Rev 6:12-17)

 

I don't think that the Warning is approved prophecy, whereas there are numerous approved prophecies of both a Minor and Major Chastisement. The Warning might just be wishful thinking. One hopes not, but perhaps one shouldn't depend too much upon it.

Your further reference to Russia reminds me of a thought going through my head for the last few days. In these approved prophecies there is no mention of the US, that I am aware of. It is hard to imagine that these prophets could have such detailed knowledge of the world centuries ahead while being ignorant of the US and her role.

Hopefully, my fear is completely off the wall that the irrelevance of the US in the time of Chastisement might be due to her having been nuked out of existence. This risk cannot be ruled out if a nuclear confrontation with Russia occurs. It could be a prelude to the prophesied Russian invasion of Europe-why no US intervention in the prophesies? To add to the confusion, I have a vague memory of a later intervention in Europe, nearer the end of this prophesied war, from across the Atlantic but apparently from Brazil.

 

I will exclude no possibility and I am not saying a global Illumination is not possible, just that I don't find much support for it. As for the Sixth Seal, I think the Haydock Commentary offers some valuable insights:

Ver. 12. At the opening of the sixth seal....a great earthquake, &c. Many think that these dreadful signs, of the sun turning black, &c. are not to happen till the time of antichrist, a little before the end of the world. See Matthew xiv.; Luke xxi.; Isaias xiii. and xxxiv.; Ezechiel xxxiii.; Daniel xii.; &c. Others apply these prodigies to God's visible chastisements, on the heathen emperors and persecutors of the Christians, before the first Christian emperor Constantine. (Witham) --- And I saw. The sixth seal being opened, St. John sees painted before him the severe and terrible manner in which the Almighty would revenge himself on his enemies. The emperors were all destroyed by the Almighty in a most singular manner; witness Maxentius, who was thrown headlong into the Tiber; Maximin Jovius, who, under a horrible and incurable disease, owned the hand of the Almighty afflicting him; Maximin Daia, who, being overcome in battle, fled away in disguise, and at last, seized with a strange disease, his bowels were all consumed, he lost his eyes, and died reduced to a mere skeleton. Witness likewise Licinius, who, being engaged with Constantine, was always beaten, and at length strangled. I think the Fatima Model is the operative model, and it goes something like this: Either we pray and practice penance and offer much sacrifice or we will face "the flaming sword." Anyone who have followed the headlines over the past few years has seen the West and Russia come closer and closer to the war between nations prophesied at Fatima as punishment if we do not repent. The growing tensions between the West and Russia almost defy logic: wasn't this supposed to be the "progressive" 21st Century? Weren't we "evolving" into a much more "progressive" and "sophisticated" culture? And, yet, the opposite has occurred. It does defy logic because there is a supernatural cause behind the tensions and it reminds me of the words spoken in the 16th Chapter of St. John's Apocalyspe: "And he shall gather them together into a place, which is called in Hebrew Armagedon."

 

If you are looking for a political solution Richard, I'm afraid you will be sorely dissappointed

I prefer to have the good father's words speak for themselves. He very well could have specfied if he wished - but he did not. That speaks volumes for me.

There are approved visionaries and saints who have revealed the upcoming event.

The English Jesuit and 16th century martyr, St. Edmund Campion, spoke of “a great day that would reveal all men’s consciences,” a coming “day of enlightenment”. Yes, I take people at their word. If Trump is being duplicitious, there will be political consequences for it. By your logic, you would never vote because there has been and never will be a "good" candidate. The logic you apply to Trump could have been applied to any of his Republican rivals during the primary.

Yes, Trump does really differ from Hillary. You bring up Trump's statements from the past yet ignore his statements today. With that kind of selective logic you might as well forget about ever voting.

You bring up Trump's remarks about his sister but ignore the fact that pro-life giants like Father Frank Pavone are members of his pro-life advisory committee. Your modus operandi is all too familiar, Frodo. Are you a Cruz supporter?

 

Have you not read St Anna Mariam Taiga, Akita, Japan, St Faustina, Father Gobbi, and Maria Esperanza. All approved by the church. These all mention the warning. Jesus was talking to the people of his day. The sign of the son of man will appear in the clouds to warn mankind. If you look at the worlds population and the number of people who have access or believe in the sacraments the number is very low. God's warning does not impinge on my free will. It actually destroys the devils's deception and lets me know the truth to make an accurate decision. If you have questions, please go to signs and wonders by Ted and Maureen Flynn. This website has much information available on the topic. Father Joseph Esper also writes about the warning. Finally, God in his mercy does not want hell to fill up with his children. There is a key difference. I believe Hillary is completely given over to the NWO. Trump is egocentric and would like to see himself as some sort of savior, but will produce much less collateral damage. Hillary and her team will be insanely supportive of the abortive/contraceptive/start a war/reduce the world population agenda. Much of what Trump would endanger and/or accomplish depends on which people comprise his team; that is unknown right now. He doesn't strike me as a person of prudence; he's pragmatic, yet vacillates, and is not wise. In addition, Hillary will consciously attack the Church. I don't think that is on Donald's radar.

The mainstream news is so Hillary-sided it is ridiculous. If you watched the debate when Trump told Hillary she was no Abraham Lincoln the audience went crazy, do you think that the news even mentioned that, nope. No one can be trusted, there are jobs on the line, houses, vacation homes, yachts, private jets, luxury cars, you name it.

 

I think since Reagan until now...every time a republican or a democrat enters office, they change certain laws immediately on day one. One of those laws is late term abortions. Again i state, if you want late term abortions to stop vote republican. If you don't vote democrat.

That sums it up. Trouble now is that there may well be more tapes like the last one. They will be released to coincide with any new damaging revelations about Clinton. Nobody cares that whatever Trump did wrong he did as a private citizen whereas the Clintons enriched themselves when they were paid to serve the public interest. Nobody cares how many lives will be lost so long as they don't feel dirty by voting for someone who could have beaten her with their support. Not only could they have beaten her, they could have broken the stranglehold of vested interests and their performing monkeys who are appalled enough at lewd language to rediscover their morals but manage to shelve the same morals when passing budgets that fund a killing machine like Planned Parenthood. The same people who don't want Trump didn't want Cruz either. It has nothing to do with how holy, moral or refined the candidate is and everything to do with keeping the status quo.

The Romneys, Bushes, McCains, etc. will be happy to see Clinton elected. It will be back to the "if only" business after the election.........if only the Supreme Court were more conservative........if only the President were a Republican......if only Obama hadn't pulled out of Iraq.......if only Putin hadn't invaded Ukraine.........if only the Israelis and Palestinians would get along............if only............. All the while they will get richer on the backs of cheap labour and investments in the arms/military/contraceptive/abortifacient industries that require wars, rumours of wars, low wages and poverty to thrive.

I doubt that God is having conversations with those "prophets" on the election. If the guy in the first video had followed the advice "God" had given to him telling Trump to remain quite in the face of attacks, Trump would have never had a chance against the Satanic Democratic machine. Something tells me that when God gives advice, it's not the wrong advice.

The liberals are not used to their victims fighting back, that's why Trump has been so successful against them. He doesn't back down and he doesn't sugar coat the truth, even when it involves his own past sins. The irony is that Trump is actually one of the most honest men in politics and is not afraid of the skeletons in his closet.
