A known agenda to attempt to tar any valid criticism of the pope as simply inspired by MDM so it can be mocked and discredited has already attempted to be employed here. But the real MDM deception behind the deception has become obvious:

Now when folks don't want to consider the words of a poster, they can falsely charge him with being a secret MDM follower. Any message they don't want to hear, they can claim as inspired by this fraud.

I didn't understand what the devil was up to when the obvious fraud of MDM was exposed. Now I do. Again, diabolically cunning, in disarming faithful Catholics for what is ahead.

Janet thinks she is so wise and so coy. Her agenda is obvious from a mile away. Tar any opposition to this pope to be in bad faith, secretly inspired by MDM, and mock and discredit those defending the Faith, thus silencing anyone who questions this pope and his obvious agenda. I'm sure that's how Joe found her and encouraged her to join his quixotic battle.

I have to admit this demonic ploy has me irritated, because it's being carried out by otherwise good and decent Catholics who serve the devil's purposes while they are convinced they serve God alone.

And now that you've flung about your juvenile ad hominem attacks, joining this effort, kindly address the premise of the thread:

The pope has not taught error in an official magisterial document. But to claim he has been "totally orthodox" is, unfortunately, akin to believing in fairy tales, and destroys the credibility of those making the claim, who might otherwise be good and holy Catholics. Unfortunately, it's no longer a case of unqualified laity who are simply guilty of "faulty reading."

...Anyone making the claim that this pope is "totally orthodox" and any other understanding is the result of "faulty reading" can no longer throw about such assertions without refuting the documentation of these theologians first.

They cannot be accused of "faulty reading" or error based in mistranslation or media spin.

...No one can credibly or blithely say to these eminent theologians and priests, "Who are YOU to question the pope?!"

These men are exceptionally qualified and have the standing and the moral obligation to do so. Anyone who wants to say such things - to anyone, even lowly laity - must thoroughly refute the points in this document first.

Woe to those Churchmen who remain silent in the face of this affront to Faith and Morals. They will answer to God for their infidelity and cowardice.

I really don't want to go through this again. All your arguments are speculation. The world of what if.

That is judging before the action. Causing fear and creating anti-catholic propaganda. There is no greater evil then causing doubt and fear of the Holy Father and Our Holy Mother Church.

Sometimes... i wonder if some of you are protestants.

The Holy Father is preparing for the possibility of war. And i hate to say... the Vatican is a major target. It is located in a spot where it could be destroyed and over run. If that happens, the church will continue with regional powers. This is all speculation but it is possible. I will not argue with you and your excitement... of some little known Catholic theologians.

Speculation? are you kidding me... you actually believe its "speculation"... I can only imagine what you base this on.

No one is calling the Pope names, they are calling him out on his actions. Two very separate things.


Now if you wish to back up these points you have made with facts and logic, please do so... as I am eager to learn. But seeing as to how you have not done this even once, I highly doubt you will be able to do so now. Which leaves the points you are trying to make empty because they lack substance, this is typically what happens when opinions are based on feelings.

 

Its not bizarre... but you have to pay attention to even the slight details... read every word thoroughly.

 

This statement is inaccurate, and the way its worded is practically diabolical. Mainly because if a person does not understand the order of obedience, they could follow the Pope into mortal sin. It implies that they are denying God by not acting accordingly to everything the Pope says, when that is just not true. The Church listens to the Laws given by God, therefore it is not the Pope who is the head of the Church it is God. The Pope is merely the head of the Church on earth, he is still subservient to God. Therefore...

The Laws of God Triumph the Office of the Pope.

If the Pope calls us to do something that goes contrary to the Laws of God we need to disobey the Pope. Telling people its ok to use contraception in light of the zika virus is contrary to Gods Law. Therefore if someone comes up to me and says that they want to use contraceptives in light of the zika virus because the Pope said its ok, I have to go against the Popes comments and tell that person they are committing a mortal sin by using contraceptives, regardless of what the Pope has said. So while I have not listened to the Pope in this instance, I still have listened to the Church.

 

It is indeed bizarre, bfc, but careful reading of the posts since Janet made her first contribution should uncover and illustrate what has been at work on the forum for some time.
