Condidering the "unpleasant news" that abounds hourly "These Days" It IS TIME, past really, to be on alert for what The Lord, The Prophets and Scripture has long warned us to be ready for ... Again I'll say. I don't know what role Francis is playing in The Storm and I don't know if it's the Big One at hand or just a "little" Big One that will "only" result in the death of double digit millions? Anybody that thinks that the saga of The Church is filled with nothing but Good-Guys slept through History Class and/or just awakening from a 50 year nap! I think it might be time to consider the advice in the below!: Psalm 118, 8/9: It is good to confide in the Lord, rather than to have confidence in man. It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in princes. GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
At least one of the world's powers is paying attention to the genocide of Christians. I pray that their efforts will be successful and our Christian brothers and sisters will get some relief from the relentless persecution.
Perhaps to get a better understanding of what is going on. There is a group of people who say they hate us, they want to kill us, here they explain their motive, their reasoning, their tactics. Isn't it better to know than not to know? How else do we counter them, anticipate them?
I think that we have a thread on this: http://motheofgod.com/threads/world...pport-persecuted-christians.9013/#post-125417
Our Holy Father is right. This is not a religious war. He already stated we are in a world war. But i think i understand the contradiction. This is not a religious war...this is a SPIRITUAL war. Good vs evil. He understands many islamist have become evil. But he also understands there are still some good muslims. But the war against evil...is also against the evil people in the west. Those that push the agenda of abortion are more evil then the islamic jihadist. Those demon possesed people who kill the innocent are also evil...and the church is at war with them. The Catholic priest that abuse children are also evil...and we are at war against that evil filth. Again, we see Our Holy Fathers speeches with the eyes of the world. We need to see His speeches spiritually. The evil of secular humanism might be more evil then islamic terrorism. It might be more evil because it is hidden in plain site. I shouldn't have to make excuses for Our Holy Father...but i think those off the cuff remarks is directly from the Holy Spirit. May Gods Will be Done
Trump has stated his intention to work with Putin and also to disband what he considers an obsolete NATO. Could this free the way for Russia to restore Constantinople? This would be a catastrophic setback for expansionary Islam.
Here's a bit from Charlie Johnosn's latest letter: Francis is not equipped to answer questions/issues in the way we are accustomed to. Unfortunately, in response, many people respond by getting angry, hysterically losing their heads and then spew statements that cause only spiritual harm. Others play the diplomat and attempt to spin/nuance Francis’s statements in whatever fashion that suits their particular opinions. But take comfort, with Francis we now have a trained pilot at the wheel of the Barque of Peter. Like Admiral Farragut at Mobile Bay, it is damn the torpedoes of Satan and full speed ahead. The storm is not stopping Francis from preaching the truth in charity, as confusing as it may be – do captains on board ships in the middle of storms have the time to sit down and write detailed orders? No, of course they do not! Rather they give brief, terse and often confusing answers/orders, such as Custer’s last message at the Little Big Horn. Now the smoke is thick, the enemy is weakening, and the battle has not even reached its crescendo yet – but let us man our battle station on the Barque of Peter and keep praying for the pope! We will win, and Francis is leading us to victory with our Lady of Tepayac, as sure as Don Juan and St. Pius V did at Lepanto!
It is most unlikely that Trump will be the next US President. We will be back, therefore, to the same handful of people dictating US foreign policy with the deepest pockets having the biggest say. There won't be any setback for expansionary Islam. Our Church will be fragmented by forces from within as Islam is promoted so long as the proxy wars are kept away from Israel and the key Gulf States. Obama is about to push through the TPP trade agreement and he will most likely be successful, getting Hillary Clinton off the hook in the election. And Republicans whom he accused of blocking his every move will usher through the TPP in the dying days of his presidency. So much for democracy. It's all one big sham. We can only hope that they don't push Putin into a corner and make him come out fighting.
Does anyone else find it rather ironic that Charlie, in trying to calm people about the leadership of the pope, compares the pope's leadership style to Custer's in the battle in which he lost his life and that of all of his men?
Oh, Frodo, that's too funny! I think we should all remember Charlie's archbishop issued a statement on his messages. Despite the spin of CJ and followers, it is not encouraging: "After reviewing the commission’s findings and in keeping with his pastoral office, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila of Denver has decided to strongly advise the faithful to exercise prudence and caution in regards to Mr. Charlie Johnston’s alleged divine visions and messages. As has been demonstrated with other alleged apparitions, the danger exists of people placing greater faith in a prediction than in Christ’s words and promises. "For these reasons, Mr. Johnston will also not be approved as a speaker in the Archdiocese of Denver. "For those who are disappointed by this finding, the archdiocese encourages them to seek their security in Jesus Christ, the sacraments, and the Scriptures. The faithful should also remember Christ’s words: “But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mt. 24:36).
In 1219, St. Francis of Assisi traveled to the Holy Land with the hope of converting the Muslims or dying as a martyr. The Crusaders were fighting and Francis believed that dialogue and non-violence would a better approach. Francis met with the Sultan of Egypt and after several days of dialogue, the Sultan was not converted, but did have a favorable opinion of Francis. Eventually, it was the Franciscan Order that was granted the right to administer at the Christian holy sites in the Holy Land. Fast forward 800 years, the similarities between Francis the Saint and Francis the Pope are interesting.
As someone who has long been skeptical of Mr. Johnston's messages this is good news to hear. I think someone on this board mentioned that he made a prediction that there will be no U.S. presidential elections this fall. Hopefully once that is proven wrong he will fade away as some other recent "prophets" have. By the way I am making no judgements as the the character of the man. Just the content of the messages. He may be a good man at heart who is just being deceived.
Hey gang, Before you start piling on Charlie again, it should be noted that, although the article with a reference to Custer quoted above was posted on Charlie Johnston's website, it was not actually written by Charlie. The author is James I. McCauley, a regular commenter on Charlie's site. That being said, I thought Mr. McCauley's article was excellent. Also, as a former military man, I appreciated Mr. McCauley's use of historical military figure to make his point.
There is an interesting an touching interview with the Medgorje visionary Mirjana on the site Mystic Post. Someone asked her if Our Lady had ever spoken to her about Radical Islam and it's dangers. Mirjana gives the most wonderful answer
Yes, wise words from Mirjana: Q: Does Our Lady say anything about radical Islam because its getting very scary out there? A: No, radical Islam is not so dangerous but we are too weak. Let me give you an example. When I was talking with Italians on Saturday, the question was: there are so many muslims who come to Italy now and they change everything. We are not allowed anymore to have crosses in our hospitals, in our schools. I immediately stopped that gentleman and I said " who is taking that cross off the wall, you or that muslim?". He said " I…but…". I said there is no but, there is no excuse. We are weak. We are weak in our faith and then everyone else is allowed to do whatever they want. If Jesus is the one who teach me to open the door to everybody, I have to do it. The same Jesus teaches me to open you the door and if that Jesus is an obstacle to you, to whom I open the door, then go back home. That is what I think. We always put the guilt on to someone else but we never start with ourselves. What am I like? What do I do for God? How much is my faith strong, how much am I ready to do for my faith? So its easiest to say they're radical, they're this, they're that. With my God I can do anything. I lived in Sarajevo and the most of the people are muslims, very few orthodox. But we had cross and Our Lady in our home. Those people were coming to our home, they were asking and I would explain to them what that is all about. But no matter what price I had to pay, I would never ever take that cross or Our Lady off the wall. Because our parents told us as well ; if you have to die for God then you will live forever. But if you say no to God, then you will die forever. http://www.mir.ie/mirjana-s-talk-with-questions-and-answers-to-pilgrims.html
And here are two important quotes from Our Lady in Medjugorje: • Responding to the confusion of a Catholic priest over the cure of an Orthodox child, Our Lady said: “Tell this priest, tell everyone, that it is you who are divided on earth. The Muslims and the Orthodox, for the same reason as Catholics, are equal before my Son and me. You are all my children. Certainly, all religions are not equal, but all men are equal before God, as St Paul says. It does not suffice to belong to the Catholic Church to be saved, but it is necessary to respect the commandments of God in following one’s conscience. “Those who are not Catholics, are no less creatures made in the image of God, and destined to rejoin someday, the House of the Father. Salvation is available to everyone, without exception. Only those who refuse God deliberately are condemned. To him who has been given little, little will be asked for. To whoever has been given much, very much will be required. It is God alone, in His infinite justice who determines the degree of responsibility and pronounces judgement.” (1984) Words from Heaven (Messages of Our Lady from Medjugorje)
You are happy enough to read this propaganda....The Pope says the Koran is a book of peace and that Islam is not violent religion.
"If I speak of Islamic violence, I must speak of Catholic violence . . . and no, not all Muslims are violent, not all Catholics are violent. It is like a fruit salad; there’s everything. There are violent persons of this religion… this is true: I believe that in pretty much every religion there is always a small group of fundamentalists. Fundamentalists. We have them." I am still waiting for someone to tell me who the catholic fundamentalsts are who are as bad as ISIS. Who is the pope talking about?
The Pope told us who he is talking about. It's the Italian Catholic who murdered his mother in law. Welcome to the Twilight Zone.
ISIS are a group of mainly young people following evil. Muslims are not. I objected to ISIS propaganda being posted on the forum.
