I completely agree. Unfortunately, I know some Catholics WHO GO TO DAILY MASS!!!! who are voting for Hillary.
I couldn't believe it when Justice Ginsburg made disparaging comments about Trump but I reckoned it was the establishment circling the wagons. Evidently it made some of them uncomfortable, especially the New York Times, so now she has apologised. Too little, too late but like Hillary she'll get away with it. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36796495 On top of Bill Clinton's meeting with the Attorney General, the head of the FBI giving Hillary a pass on the email server fiasco, you have to wonder whether they realise that there is a real world outside their cocoon. It beggars belief.
They don't believe there is another world more important than theirs. For them only the poor have laws. Trump had the guts to point that out to the world and he was ridiculed for speaking the truth.
I watched some of the Republican Convention. Enjoyed parts of it but it left me feeling uneasy. I admired Ben Carson for having the guts to point out how Clinton is such a fan of Alinsky and his book which is dedicated to Lucifer. The self-declared atheist Republican S.E. Cupp was on the panel. She has been less than enthusiastic about Trump from the start but tonight she was boasting about being friends with Trump's son who had given quite a good speech. The consensus on the panel seemed to be that Carson's speech was an embarrassing irrelevance, with Cupp and that awful motor mouth Van Jones being in full agreement. They all waxed lyrical about Trump's family who came across to me as plastic caricatures rather like something you would see on the Barbie aisle in a toy shop or characters from that old TV series Beverley Hills 902whatever. They were being described as "normal" or "ordinary". If they are what passes for normal, then every youngster I know must be dysfunctional. People have been saying all along that his kids are very influential his campaign. It is disconcerting that Trump's kids would have a say in who gets to be part of a Trump administration especially considering that their friends are the likes of Chelsea Clinton or S.E. Cupp. Back to the old saying "show me your company and I'll show you what you are". I also didn't like Christie's speech which gave me the impression that Trump has made a deal with the war mongering elite in the Republican party. I can't put my finger on it, but that's the impression I got. Trump surely couldn't be any worse than Clinton, but I'm not confident now that he would be a whole lot better. Paul Ryan was excellent.
I'll take good news any way I can "These Days"!! "It’s Official: Leftists Failed at Protesting GOP Convention" http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2016/07/21/official-leftists-failed-protesting-gop-convention/ GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
Dolours, our drug partying culture is destroying a good amount of our youth. To watch Trump's children is a sense of hope for most of us trying to educate our own kids. We had for so many years the Kennedy drug alcohol inflicted kids who were looked upon as cool. Now we have the chic Ivanka and her siblings whom are drug/alcohol free and tremendous successes. We need this worldwide and quickly. I played with Barbie's as a child and they were lovely memories of innocence. Let's make America great again.
And as for Chelsea and Ivanka being friends...it's normal in America to have friends who come from different cultures and beliefs. They both married bright young Jewish men from New York. They run in the same circles.
I don't know did anyone post this, but Hilary Clinton did her thesis on liberal socialist Saul Alinsky who in his book "Rules for Radicals" dedicated his book to Lucifer who he said was the "first radical". She is a follower and proponent of Alinsky's ideals.
Yes, there is a breakdown in moral values everywhere especially among the young. And yes, they are better than the types who are usually promoted as role models. Anything would be better than Clinton and what she promotes as morality. Do you think there's any hope that she will be beaten now that the mega-rich Republican elite are backing her?
It seems the Democrats are hoping to win the Catholic vote again like they did with Obama, this time by putting "Catholic" Tim Kaine on as VP. Here's hoping Pope Francis will use this as an opportunity to clarify that no practicing Catholic may ever vote for a Clinton/Kaine ticket.
Yes, Julia ... they are! The majority Catholic areas in the USA are in heavily Unionized/rust belt regions where the Democrat Party, past 100 years, has held sway. Down South & West we still have lots of Yellow Dog Democrats! They are the ones whose family has always voted Democrat .... and they would rather vote for a Yellow Dog than a Republican. I can guarantee that many USA Catholic Clerics are Yellow Dog Democrats too. The same 60's Lefty Lavender Radicals that are running the Democrat Party today also hijacked the USA Catholic Church of today ... Europe too I imagine? Thus .... The Storm!! GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
Practicing Catholics had better keep practicing until they get it right, because of late...they have NOT! Thus the two term presidency of Obama...a proabortion, pro planned parenthood, social liberal who gave us Obamacare....the total takeover of one sixth of our economy designed to expand government control over our lives. It is anti religious freedom...but "practicing" Catholics put him in office....as did many, many of the clergy! Sad to say that if the clergy in the US can start legally talking politics from the pulpit, they might be endorsing liberal, proabortion candidates. Be careful of what you wish for.....
Yes, the majority of US Bishops that we read about give the impression that they are supportive of the Democratic Party. CNN showed Kaine on his way into "Church" today, which presumably means that he was going to Mass. Other parishioners were hugging his wife. They showed one of his campaign ads from about ten years ago where he claimed to be pro-life, opposed to partial birth abortion, opposed to public funding of abortion and in favour of some restrictions on abortion. The party spokesman was asked about how he could be on the same page as Clinton on these issues. The response was that since the ad was run, he has always voted the party pro-choice line and has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood. They also talked about how progressive he is, having decided to learn Spanish when he was a missionary in South America (I think he was with the Jesuits - surprise, surprise). No doubt the priest led a standing ovation for him before and/or after Mass. This Storm you all are expecting can't come soon enough.
No one has mentioned in Trumps acceptance speach...he stated he would change the law and allow churchs to become political. Did anyone remember that...no one has mentioned it. Brother al
Here's my prediction...Hillary will be our next president. Satanic Globalism, Socialism and persecution of Christians will be the fruit of the day.
No media is announcing this but Turkey just closed schools and charities. In other words the persecution of Christians will begin again in Turkey.
Erdogan shuts down 1,000+ private schools, 1,200+ charities, 15 universities https://www.rt.com/news/352867-erdogan-closes-schools-emergency/
