At least more questions are now being asked and people are less willing to gullibly accept the party line. The recent booing of the French Prime Minister is a very healthy sign.

Denial of poor security is not likely to convince when weighed against the obvious facts of the case. The French are likely to twig, if they haven't already, that the massive security presence upheld during the Euros was for everyone else's benefit bar their own.

 

Not to veer the discussion off topic, and I'm too lazy to look up other threads where this might be covered, but could this be the beginning of a new French Revolution which brings back the House of Bourbon and possibly the Great Catholic Monarch? I refer you to stories that aren't being covered in the secular press about growing attendance at Mass in France, the HUGE protests in Paris in the past few years against legislation that would redefine marriage -- and by HUGE, I mean thousands of people, not just Catholic, but all over the spectrum, including noted homosexual supporters, who see these attempts as a way of smearing and "putting the blame" on gays and lesbians.

I won't be sorry to see a change of government in France, even if the likely alternatives are not people of faith. I recall someone from the government (possibly Valls) being interviewed on CNN after a previous terrorist attack. He smirked as he boasted of how proud he was at Paris being referred to as the new Sodom or Gomorrah. Perhaps the terrorists had called it Sodom & Gomorrah and he was being defiant, but he gave me the creeps. That's what my mother would have described as flying in the face of God. He's not smirking now. I will indeed pray for France. Sad to see the citizens of the eldest daughter of the Church resorting to tacky street shrines and John Lennon's dreadful dirge to express their grief when their beautiful churches are almost empty.

I'm surprised at all the news reports saying that what's happening in France is unlikely to happen in most other European countries because France hasn't tried hard enough to assimilate immigrants. Thinking back to the 1970's and 1980's, France was the preferred destination for many from North Africa and the Middle East - not just from former colonies. In those days France was the poster child for openness and pluralism.

 

Fortunately, regarding the 'tacky street shrines', the times they are a-changin'. I recently saw a picture of the 'shrine' erected in Nice to the latest mass-murderer. All kinds of detritus and rubbish are being placed where he died, with the most disrespectful of excretory human functions being carried out there. It may be vulgar, but there is a time for vulgarity. There are limits to what people are prepared to tolerate and the Valls, Hollandes and Junckers of this world are rapidly running out of road.

I recently read an article by Taki in his own on-line magazine describing the great holdout by the 300 Spartans against 1,250,000 (you read that right) Persians at Thermopylae, this vast force eventually slaughtered at Marathon by a mere 10,000 Athenians and their fleet completely sunk at Salamis. Soon after, Alexander went over with a quite handy-sized expeditionary force and did to Persia what they couldn't do to Greece. At the risk of being accused of being bellicose, these not very bright Muslims may be playing with fire if they manage to awaken Europeans from their secular slumber. That moment may be nearer than we might think and France seems the most likely source.

If memory serves me, I remember reading in Yves Dupont's Trial, Tribulation and Triump that when France and Italy were on the verge of chaos and ruin brought on by an unholy alliance of Freemasonry and Islam, that it would be at this moment that the Great Catholic Monarch would arise. If recent headlines are any indication, I think we are fast approaching that moment. One prophecy said that just as the atheistic revolution started in France during the French Revolution, so too would the counter-revolution also start in France. It is rather amazing that Hollande has not yet been overthrown given that three deadly terror attacks have occurred on his watch. I don't know how much more the French people can take, but I would imagine that the Great Catholic Monarch is waiting in the wings ready for the right moment to reclaim France.

 

What I would give to live under a Catholic Monarchy.

 

Well about that Monarch, there is a seer in France who has been getting messages about the awaited Catholic Monarch. Her name is Martine and the books with the locutions that she has received are called "Seul, l'amour sauvera le 3e millénaire" (Only Love Will Save the 3rd Millennium).

I have never read them, but heard about Martine at a conference once. I told myself that I would ask Peter at some point what he had heard about this person, but that will have to wait until he returns to the forum.

Only the Holy Cross will designate the true king to turf. When his appeal is heard, Brittany courageously rise to bring here the very right and very Christian king, that heaven protects his enemies.

We needed the USSR to defeat Nazism. This was not a declaration of approval of Communism. I am also uncomfortable with people who feel the need to tell the world their private business, most particularly if they are this disordered, but in a democracy where votes decide the matter, one can't be overly particular. One may have to hold one's nose from time to time. But consider the alternative.

I don't believe God gets involved in human politics. That would be an abrogation of our free will. The choice of Trump is perhaps a function of the combined totalling of the choices of a sector of the electorate that is, on the whole, more morally orthodox than that grouping that leans toward Clinton. It is not wise, nor Christian, to expect a Kingdom of God to be established by mere men on Earth.

 

The Evangelicals who recv'd a word in prayer that G_D will use Donald Trump for His Glory did NOT say that Donald Trump will save the USA. It may very well be that G_D's Glory will be revealed in the destruction of the USA.

Also, Peter Thiel did not voluntarily "come out of the closet". He was outed by Gawker back in 2007. Thiel has been supporting people suing Gawker ever since, and with the Hulk Hogan sex tape trial has finally bankrupted Gawker.

I concur that it is very grave in France right now. I sent my French penpal an ecard for Bastille Day with a cheerful message. I have been corresponding with her for about 50 years. I was notified that she had read the ecard early in the day.
My message was something like have a nice Bastille Day, blahblah
(She has shrugged off many of the attacks on the French up until now, responding to my mail with the excuse that France has let so many people in who are Moslem.) Then, after I heard of the awful terrorist attacks at Nice later that day, I emailed her again with my condolences. I have heard NOTHING back. I think the trauma is finally sinking in. Things are bad there, but they are almost exactly like the conditions in the USA right now. We have racial unrest here, and a war against police officers. I am not sure on the timing of the appearance of the Great Monarch, but I concur that things are bottoming out rapidly. I wonder if this coincides with the 100-year anniversary of Fatima.

 

Bad enough that one of the contenders to be Clinton's running mate learned to speak Spanish while doing missionary work with the Jesuits. Now this. Some day, Catholics like these will cheer as faithful priests and bishops are executed in the public square for preaching the Gospel's "hate speech".

That "Tilly Only" bugged me, so I did some digging. The Marian apparitions at Tilly-sur-Seulles in Normandy, France were from July 1897 to July of 1903 and were witnessed not only by a teacher, Marie Martel, but by up to 50 of her schoolchildren. The apparitions are approved. In the apparition of May 3, 1903, Our Blessed Mother said (according to Google Translate), "We must pray for the future king ... and the Pope ... the Republic will fall: the reign of satan ... Another world, another kingdom will come!"
