Wow loved reading about your dream Rain! I also saw Jesus in an apparition (posted here somewhere a few months ago...) and when I saw Him I remember being surprised that He WAS God (I grew up Catholic but just remember always thinking of Him as kind a wimpy son of God I guess) and He was SO majestic and terrifying and awesome and yet I could feel His great love for me! He showed me my sins so I think I had a Warning, although at the time I knew nothing of any prophecies. I converted on the spot and went from a 90s hip girl to basically a Nun LOL! He talked to me about marriage, as my husband had just left me for another woman, and I was thinking I would try to get an annulment. He (Jesus) told me if I did this, I would be in Mortal sin and would have no place with Him. My marriage is valid, as are most first marriages. He told me more people were falling into Hell because of the sin of Adultry this age, and that many did not even accept that they were in sin because of all of the divorces, and protestant churches re-marrying divorced people. Anyway, thanks for sharing your dream!

Back in about 1999, a couple years after I had my apparition, I was attending Mass each sunday with a friend from work, who had moved to my city from a small town to attend collage. She was pretty worldly but wanted to get back to Church, so started coming with me. Anyway, one morning we went for breakfast after Mass, and she started crying and told me she was going to hell. I assured her that she always would be able to receive God's great mercy, and she should not be so afraid. She said that she had a dream the night before and then described it to me:
She was at collage, in class, and suddenly the sky turned to fire as they looked out the window. Everyone but her took cover under their desks but my friend, Heidi, for some reason was drawn to the window to watch. She said an intense heat went through their bodies as a HUGE asteroid skimmed the earth, but the people did not die. She said she instinctively kneeled down and started praying Hail Marys and begging for mercy for her sins. She said the asteroid did not hit the earth, but skimmed it, going around it close to the ground and causing all to be filled with this burning sensation and fear. Then told told me she felt that she was condemned to Hell, and that she knew she was not worthy of Heaven, and was very distraught. Of course I tryed to calm her as much as possible!
Anyway, this girl, against my pleading, did marry a guy that was divorced, and is still with him. They have several children now. She also left the Church so I keep praying for her. :(

I have yet to hear a sermon preached on hell in our church. I cannot recall the last time the word was even mentioned. ( i've not moved my whole life.) Your dream serves as a gentle ;) introduction to the awe-full mystery. Most fitting for lent. So i for one am most grateful to you for you acting on your impulse to 'bump' this thread and offer us newer members an opportunity to read.
The early threads of this forum, when i've discovered them i've found filled with particular wisdom and insight.

Have you come across the witness of Gloria Polo?

I read these strories and I Thank God for the Catholic Church, which through no other means can one obtain a plenary indulgence (full remission of sin and temprol punishment due to sin). What a Mercifull God, who allows us sinners, through no merit of our own, to be absloved from our sins. I began reading again through Lent, Sister Faustina's diary. She talks about her dreadful sinfulness.... and I think, wow.... I can't even phathom how pitifull my soul looks in comparison to her's back then. Yet somehow, I know that God still loves me. A mystery I can only begin to understand, because of the love I have for all my children, even though they may be wondering in the desert of this world. I find myself praying more for them now then I ever would have if they were closer to their faith.

Hi Jerry, I have never come across the witness of Gloria Polo, but thanks to your post, I just spent a good deal of time reading a translation of her account. Wow, that's some powerful stuff. I noticed a few parallels in her experience and mine, but hers is much more detailed and encompassing. I was struck by a lot of things she wrote, but the part about the power of intercessory prayer, and how a total stranger (the poor farmer) made so much difference, is something I won't soon forget. Have you met Gloria in person?

I don't know about anyone else but when I read Gloria Polo's beautiful story I feel awful! I'm thinking Oh No am I one of those Catholic's who's going through the motion and think I'm doing everything right and God's way but only to find out it was in vain. It's like the story where the apostles ask Jesus "then who can be saved" and he tells them only through me can one be saved. I'm thinking much more prayer and sacrifice is needed more than ever and hopefully God will guide my footsteps every bit of the way!

    God Bless!

Always remember God loves us as a Father and we are his children so prayer from the heart will always lead us closer to God. And unless we sacrifice out of love it is in vain.

    Amazing dream rain,
It has definitely made a great impression on you, hense your subsequent conversion! and the power of the dream is that you still remember it, so vividly!

Your conversion took time but its All in Gods Time and according to his plan, I'd say your mum/dad/someone was praying very much for you.

I can only hope my children would recieve such a dream before the warning but then again its all in Gods plan and He knows all of us individually and He knows what will touch each of us! for some a dream for others any number of other graces or events.

I have to remind myself that God loves us all with an infinite love, so all we must do for those we love who we are concerned about, is pray and trust and live in His grace; and He will do the rest.

Thank you for sharing your dream.
    God Bless

I had a dream once in my twenties that I died. I saw nothing but black and then I felt my hand being grabbed and I was dragged down toward a red light. I heard the devil laughing and scoffing at me because I was baffled I was going to hell. He kept saying you deserve hell and you know it and accusing me of my sins. But I kept saying "but They promised" over and over. You see, I was wearing a scapular and I was still sinning a lot but I always would try again and again to convert. So as it was getting hotter and I was almost to the entrance and the laughing was getting more maniacal, I felt a tightening around my neck as I was grabbed from the entrance to hell by the Blessed Mother who lifted me up by my scapular. I then woke up heart hammering and clutched at my scapular. I have never stopped wearing it since.

    Wow Sterph.

I have had so many interesting dreams that I have posted on this site but none of late. Yours reminded me of a dream where I died. I think I was in High school when I had this dream. I was fighting for the north in the Civil War at the battle of Gettysburg. I remember every detail of this dream even to this day. The sights, the sounds, the heat, the smells. I had the higher ground and saw a confederate soldier coming my way. I pulled up my musket and fired at him but missed. I began to reload but as I was reloading I saw him lift his up to shoot me and then he pulled the trigger and shot me right in the head. I remember seeing all red then it faded to black and then I just woke up. I was shocked at this dream because I had always heard that if you died in your dream you really died. I had much relief when I realized I was not dead. At the time in my life I was not a practicing Catholic so as you can imagine this made believe in the concept of reincarnation. I really felt I was at that battle and died there. Maybe it was an ancestor.

I dream about the place I move to. I'm in my 4th house and in everyone of them I had a dream about it before we bought it. I plan to die in this house...and I had a very evil dream about it before even knowing it to be this house. In this last dream...utter devastation was all about. Me and my family where starving to death and being preyed on by robbers who subsequently killed us. I feel God has led us to this fate. I trust His Divine Providence. I understand that not all of us are going to survive this tribulation...some of us must die violent deaths. I suspect as much for myself and family.

Let's not be a defeatist here T-722! I sincerely doubt that God would lead you & yours to such a fate! Some of us may meet such an end but we should never aspire to martyrdom or surrender to Evil when there is still breath in our bodies .. especially if our family or friends are dependant upon us!

    Timothius722,
If you believe that your dream about your current house is prophetic, and maybe it is, than possibily the dream is a warning from God that when the time comes you are to leave this house and have an alternate plan, maybe camping gear or a family member or friend to go to! Pray that God give you knowledge of when to leave this home with your family and trust he will forewarn you.
    God Bless
