The Warning, Or Illumination Of Conscience

BTW " Big Brother" , this is NOT an unapproved apparition , it is an apparition "pending approval" on the day of the great Miracle. That is what the Vatican is waiting for, or they would have condemned it by now, which they havent !

 

Simple question: If there are so many facts, why hasn't it been approved? If it hasn't been approved, it is unapproved. Not denounced; but unapproved.
I believe 6 bishops proclaimed it not of a spiritual nature, right?

“ Conchita, I bless you and with me the whole church will bless you “.

Father Escalada explained his work in spreading the message of Garabandal in Mexico and the Pope Paul VI encouraged him to continue saying: "These messages must be made known." Father Escalada asked the Pope for his permission to continue promoting Garabandal and the Pope said “YES”. Pope Paul VI said :
"It is the most beautiful story of humanity since the days of Christ. It is like a second life of the Virgin on earth. And we can never be grateful enough for it."

Pope Paul VI had all the while shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Xavier Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined:

"It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world."

, "Jacinta, I am with you, but we have to pray much and have much patience . . : it. is necessary to pray that the Church will become aware of the importance of Garabandal."

 

Just to let you know... I have reservations about Garabandal too. The Church has deemed this apparition pending, and this leaves me with questions.

But the Church has also reversed decisions as well, such as in the case of Mother Mary of Agreda's book "The Mystical City of God". The Lord works in Mysterious ways.

 

For questioning an unapproved message and then not believing his "proof". Or for agreeing with the 6 bishops who rejected it.

 

I just explained that ,since part of the main prophecy is the "Warning & Miracle", isn't it wise and prudent of the Vatican to wait for the " big finale " before making a final judgment ?

 

No one is forcing you to believe. Catholics do not even have to believe in Lourdes or Fatima. You bring up some valid points, something to explore. But there is a way of doing it that leaves room for discussion.

 

"little me" , here's your chance to impress me with your real knowledge of the Bishops ,and why the first few would not even interview a single person ? Why ???

BTW, all the priests and doctors they sent to discredit the apparitions , came back believers ! One even became a future Bishop ! He re-opened a new investigation, because they orignal was a fake.
The Chief of Police testified in writing, against the first Bishop !!

What amazes me is those who claim , they are not interested in or bound to believe in Marian apparitions, spend an awful lot of time trying to discredit them.

 

I have never questioned Fatima or Akita or Lourdes... just Garabandal.

 

I have found out something very interesting regarding the warning and St Edmund Campion, a Martyr!


The prophecies of a great warning go back to 1581 when Father Edmund Campion, a Jesuit priest from England was on trial for treason by performing masses under the rule of Queen Elizabeth, at the time only Anglicanism was allowed.

At his trial the lawyer for the Queen accused Father Campion of words of warning he would say during his homilies when he preached about a great day coming. They thought that he was inciting a rebellion against the crown. But Father Campion strenuously disagreed saying in his own words............

"I pronounced a great day, not wherein any temporal potentate should muster, but wherein the terrible Judge should reveal all men's consciences, and try every man of each kind of religion. This is the day of change, this is the Great Day which I threatened, comfortable to the well being and terrible to all heretics. Any other day than this, God he knows, I meant not."

Father Campion was declared guilty, he was hung, quartered and his remains were treated horribly. He is the first martyr of the warning. He is Saint Edmund Campion today.



“I am a Catholic man and a priest. In that faith have I lived and in that faith do I intend to die, and if you esteem my religion treason, then I am guilty. As for any other treason, I never committed. I stand condemned for nothing but the saying of Mass, hearing confessions, preaching and such like duties and functions of priesthood.” (St. Edmund Campion, Martyr; Response, delivered at his execution, to charges of treason; 1581)

 

Well, this is all well and good but because it is a private revelation, I think Conchita is a fraud and I stand by the six bishops who stated there was no "supernatural" activity.

I will concede Garabandal (Conchita) has developed a cult-like following and I get it. Everyone would like to believe every Marian apparition that is announced by someone. I can only imagine how many people were crushed when LttW turned out to be false.) And when you invest so much time and effort in following a particular one, I can understand where you may be unable to see some holes in the story. Again, I get it. But I, for one, choose not be believe in it. I may change my mind later but I assure you it won't because of anything Glenn (the Pitbull or was it Rottweiler) says. Especially if this is how people who believe in this act.

So... there ya' go.

I am unaware of Patrick Keena having ever being married prior to his marriage to Conchita? But if this is the case than Patrick Keena must also have had his first marriage annuled, this means that the first marriage is null and void and found to never have been a real marriage by the Catholic church.

After the Church has found a former said marriage to be null and void, the Church issues an annulment. This means that a person who has had an annulment is able to marry in the Catholic church and this subsequent marriage is the real marriage and is the valid marriage!

Additionally, an annulment of marriage cannot be investigated, unless the said marriage had been firstly granted a civil divorce [by the State].


So Yes, for someone who was previously married they would definately have had to be divorced 'first' before an annulment can be considered.

Patrick's marriage to Conchita was and is valid and any person or internet site stating otherwise is in serious error.

 

There are no primary documents from Padre Pio demonstrating that he supported Garabandal, only secondary sources claiming they heard him support it. And even if 100 Saints wrote letters supporting Garabandal or any other unapproved private revelation it would be irrelevant: there is only one voice that matters - the voice of the local bishop.
