Ireland passes law allowing trans people to choose their legal gender

"Transgender people in Ireland have won legal recognition of their status after a law was passed allowing them to change their legal gender with no medical or state intervention.

The majority of countries in Europe require transgender people to undergo surgery and sterilisation, or be diagnosed with a mental disorder and get divorced if they are married, in order to have their desired gender legally recognised.

The gender recognition bill, passed late on Wednesday and set to be signed into law by the end of July, makes Ireland only the third European country, after Denmark and Malta, to allow transgender people aged over 18 to change their legal gender without intervention."

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the Irish people.
Enkindle in them the Fire of Your Love.
Send forth Your Spirit Lord and the Irish people will be recreated.
And You will renew the face of Ireland.

Father, You taught the hearts of Your faithful by sending them the Light of Your Holy Spirit.
Send now Your Spirit Lord and the Irish people will be renewed. Amen

Does anyone making these decisions give any thought at all to the implications?
Surely nothing requires you to actually be transgender, you can switch back and forth as seems preferential at the time - life assurance cover, maternity leave, retirement...
Is anyone actually thinking in our corridors of power?

Quite simply, no. Nobody is thinking; all of this crap is now being rushed through as if our lives depended on it because Satan knows his days are numbered. The ones in power are just putty in his hands right now; they happily do his bidding while the rest of the country just looks on, smiles and says "that's nice".

I was having a discussion with my sister in law, a lawyer, about a case of an elderly farmer who wants to leave his farm in his Will to a younger man, not related to him, who has worked for him managing the farm for years. The only possible way for him to avoid the farm being divided and half of it sold off in order to pay the inheritance tax is that they "marry". As we talked about the endless difficulties in marriage law that are looming, my mother in law shouted at us to drop the subject saying, 'didn't Our Lord day that in my father's house there are many mansions.'
A classic example of how people are so confused about the difference between love and the law. My mother in law thought we were being mean to gay people because we were saying the same sex marriage law is unworkable.

that is interesting. It is more common I believe here in the states, to live together unmarried in order to qualify for more gov't programs, especially if you have children. either way people do not seem to hesitate to ignore God's laws for more financial stability.

I think Facebook allows over 50 choices on the gender question.

I can only suppose that this includes being sexually attracted to chickens.

When all choices are good choices no choice is a good choice.

We find ourselves in a subjectivist, relativistic swamp, it's not too good for the poor chickens either.

This is interesting. Could the farmer not leave the farm to the man who is working it for his lifetime and then it could revert to his natural heirs. ? Or has the younger man got a wife and children.

The thing that really sticks out from thinking about this is, the choice comes down to. God or mammon.

It looks like most people fall on the side of mammon.

I don't actually think it is a god or mammon issue.
State marriage is no longer identifiable with the one man one woman union of a Church marriage, so if Caesar allows it and you have no intention of consummating it then is there a moral issue?
I have heard of a wealthy widow who was dying of cancer having a civil union with her best friend so that she could leave her money to her.
There is no actual possible consummation of this new state "marriage" thingy anyway.
The law is an ass, and in Ireland we have a saying - if you see an ass, ride it!

I was just thinking of this whole shinanakins in Ireland and the saying 'the law is an ass.' And a funny thing came to mind.

God forgive me but the next thing you know they will be allowing us to marry donkeys. Then the laws of man will have come full circle.

Maybe that is the wake up call we all need to bring us back to our senses and the real Laws of God tested and true.

I had the thought in Lough Derg that they will facilitate gender reassignment according to a person's whim, but could you imagine what would happen if an individual tried to get nationality reassignment, saying for example that i said i felt more American than Irish - do you think that would be facilitated?
Caesar is encroaching on God's territory but woe to anyone that tries to get anything from Caesar.
Besides God being turfed out, so is reason and logic.

It is a laugh when you think of it.

Not too many years ago we had to take a leak behind a bush. Then we got civilised and built toilets where we could excrete in private.

Now civilisation is being thrashed by perverts, and it won't be long before the safest place to take a leak will be behind the nearest bush again.

So much for technology in the hands of diabolically disordered governments. Glad I am old.

I agree Julia, it is madness. And they are now even trying to get rid of the basic differences between male and female, referring to it as "gender stereotyping" etc.

Transgender!!?? I'm trying to remember when I heard that term the first time? I'm sure it was just a few years ago! Now The West is consumed by Transgender BS ... everywhere. I'f you don't like the LGBT Agenda you are a Bigot or worse. The LGBT Agenda is driven by the same miscreants that push Abortion, Gun Control and godless BigBro, in your Home, Business, Church-n-Face, Gubermint! It's all from satan ... another great distraction and evil "tool" to attack People of Faith! 5/6% of a population holding the rest hostage. It will not stand long and just another "SIGN" that THE STORM is here ... NOW!! Get Ready, GET PREPARED!!

    GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
