St Therese of Liseaux says a nice thing about this place in heaven, comparing souls to flowers: http://www.littleflower.org/therese...id-st-therese-become-known-as-the-little-flow 'Jesus set before me the book of nature. I understand how all the flowers God has created are beautiful, how the splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not take away the perfume of the violet or the delightful simplicity of the daisy. I understand that if all flowers wanted to be roses, nature would lose her springtime beauty, and the fields would no longer be decked out with little wild flowers. So it is in the world of souls, Jesus' garden. He has created smaller ones and those must be content to be daisies or violets destined to give joy to God's glances when He looks down at His feet. Perfection consists in doing His will, in being what He wills us to be.' View attachment 4607
Sometimes people get angry and fired up and ask why God permits the devils to exist rather than keping them locked up in hell. But in fact the devil, though he is evil is doing God's Will, whether he likes it or not. In his constant attacks on us he servues kind of like a Public Prosecuter in the Great Court of life. Or like the fire that tests and smelts the gold. Or again you can compare him to the yeast in the bread if you like, that forces it to rise. He adds the zip factor. Or it occurs to me you could compare him to the soap powder that we put in a washing machine. He is a forcing agent , without him in the act the washing machine of life would not get whirled round so much and we would not get our clothes cleaned. Without the devil coming down here to make war on us life would be kinda flat and without challenge. Now we certainly have gotten challenge right up to our necks. But as one old Scots guy used to say, 'It's the troubles we are sent and the way we handle them make us the men we are'. On a similiar vein (and I am probably in a minority of one on this) I believe we should not insult the devil or call him names. He was once a Great Arcangel and God's child too. He choose to leave the family but still..my own sense of things is that we should show respect to those who are in a strange kind of way our elder brothers. Bad, evil, elder brothers but still . I mean to say I wouldn't tend to get down in the gutter were they are trading insults. Also I wouldn't go having conversations either. But I would stay polite as much as possible. However I notice that many of the saints were insulting to them, soo. But I think its better to stay clear and if you happen through no fault of your own to get close to them avoid conversation and stay polite. Politeness as the old saying goes caosts nothing. Why behave as they do?
I agree we should not insult a devil, however politeness goes a bit far imo. When I finally figure out I am listening to something being said by a demon, I get very firm and insist it cease. I use my mom voice... cannot argue with that. Then of course I run to our Blessed Mother. Back up is always needed. I have noticed a ton of my temptations have decreased since using this tactic. I do love the post earlier about the devil most against us is the one we will replace in heaven. Makes so much sense. And that our guardian angel will be beside us is so comforting a thought. Thanks.
Yes everything makes sense with God. He is a bit like an old grandmother who has to make do, He is frugal and never throws anything out; even devils, but sews them unto a new piece of cloth to fix the holes there.
Can you let your son wear brown scapular? Mother Mary will take care of it.. trust her. I am wearing it confidently and trusting her and I felt always safe. Praying...
Respect is different then being polite. And conversation is not possible. There is nothing you can say that he already doesn't know. You are basically boring and so low on the totem pole that your are worthless in his eyes. There are times that he might manifest himself (with Gods approval). One - because he doesn't understand something. Two - because spiritually you are become so strong he needs to re-act. But a majority of the time you are basically nothing in his eyes . May Gods Will be Done
I don't believe he would wear the scapular. Everything near or around his neck bothers him. I did put a green scapular under his mattress... Thanks for the response.
