Yes I sadly agree with you Padraig. It could be violence like last night that puts elections on hold and not some terrorist attack like I initially thought. And like Miker I am concerned about this country, which has strayed so far from our orginal founding father ideals and God as well. Perhaps when things become more clear we can start a thread on the spiritual battle going on for the soul of this country. For the battle is fierce and will get worse. And I am not talking about any candidates, but just the situation in general.

I do suggest we try our best not to get distracted in the details of the candidates every word, debates, msm coverage, and tweets. We can't vote our way out of this situation as no candidate has the answers or solution. Our best chance is to pray our way out of it and beg God's divine intervention and mercy. That is the only solution. And excess time spent listening to talk radio, watching news shows, and surfing the net for political stuff can be a distraction and wind some people up, which no one has time for in these end times.

And The Lord our God chose Governance...so we cant bury our heads in the sand either....Yes pray for sure! But we have a duty to vote for leaders... Personally, I would not follow MSM on this political season, find alternative sites for sure. Tons of disinformation on Trump right now and will get worse. The MSM will prop up any alternative to Trump for the moment, and if they destroy him ( I so doubt they can) will lift up another candidate only to chop down... MSM rolls that way !

TRUMP is way smarter then the MSM....just read a piece on Trump, hes got a 156 or so IQ... another High IQ guy stated, at this level, one is able to draw conclusions without supporting facts....to me, this explains why the so called MSM experts who are so clueless and will continue onward.

    Be wise folks!

ughh..watchin Hillary right now on faux.....saying Libya is great now, they had 2 free elections.... what a NUT CASE she is!!!! Heads of Christians are still bein chopped off....

Cant wait for Trump to go Mike Tyson on Hillary... Bam zooooom says Ralph

No it's true, politics will not save us. I doubt they ever could. No more than the Israelites having a King helped them either.

Ladies and gentleman, I can hardly believe what I'm reading. The National Review of all publications, has opted for the Final Solution against the American little guy...and Trump is depicted as the "Nazi":

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...ies-morally-indefensible-they-deserve-to-die/

[The so-called writer of this terrible piece is unable to distinguish between symptoms and cause. He claims that the epidemic of heroin abuse in the white working-class community is the reason for the outsourcing of jobs from America rather than being a result of it. Such stupidity is hard to credit so I am forced to suspect wilful malice].

I am in shell shock over this whole campaign. I believe Mr. Trump will secure the number of delegates he needs for a first round nomination. I am not a fan of his because character is too important an issue with me. But the international hyperbole over Donald scares me because it indicates the extent of control the globalists have. It is almost humorous to see how Mr. Trump initially ducked under their radar, but now I fear for one of the two following scenarios:

    1) The Republican Party will be fractured as in 1912 which will clear the way for Hillary.
    2) If Trump wins the nomination, then either an assassination attempt will be made on his life or some form of martial law will be put in place prior to the election.
The powers-that-be will not allow an outsider whom isn't under their thumb to be elected.

I pray for Mr. Trump's protection and salvation. I pray for our nation.:( Charlie's scenario of no election makes more and more sense with each passing day. God's merciful and just Will be done!

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

The author in my opinion is both wrong and right. Of course, he is wrong for singling any group or class of people and categorizing them whether they are white, black, Latino, men, or women. This is prejudice at its worst. However, the one area he touched on that has a ring of truth is there is no hope in America. A bit ironic after 8 years of "hope and change". The problem for this author however, is he defines "hope" in material and worldly ways. No government, no leader (no matter how great they might be) can give us hope. Hope is a gift from God- irs a grace in many ways. It ranks up there with faith and love! Look all people including those we hold closest and dearest to us will ultimately dash our hope even if it's not done on purpose. Our hope must be in God and in His Son. Our Hope is tied to the Cross. Our hope like the Cross doesn't mean all things are perfect and good all the time. It means that through the Cross, comes salvation and victory. No politician brings this type of hope. This comes from God. And if as a nation, we have rejected and replaced God, then will he provide the nation with His grace? Thankfully, His grace is never far away from us as individuals. As CJ says, we will need to be signs of hope. I think we can only be these signs if we actually have and contain hope. And that will not come from this election. It will come from going to see God quietly in confession, prayer, reflection, and of course in the Euchsrist when he physically comes to each of us and condescends to enter into physical communion. Take these opportunities to build true hope. Time is running out. Peace.

    Mario,
I agree with this 100 percent. Watching the news unfold, and watching the protesters (are they sent in by neocons or liberals?), it seems more and more likely this country is in for some major upheaval.....and Charlie's prediction of Obama not finishing his presidency coming to fruition....Marshall Law? Civil War? I wouldn't play down a false flag at this point.....

well, I was thinking perhaps our evil government will stage an event which will appear to have come from North Korea, China, Russia or ISIS but in fact led by them in an effort to regain control through martial law....such as a nuclear event etc....

    Miker,
Of course you are right in saying that we can only have Hope in Christ. No politician can save our souls. However, there is a difference in temporal hope and hopelessness, just as there is a difference between leadership by a Reagan and a Stalin and it is incumbent upon us, though secure in the Hope of Christ, to hope for and do our best to elect as meritorious a government as is possible to us.

My greatest shock so far in my observance of this campaign, one which has enormous moral consequence for the rest of Western Civ., from my standpoint abroad in Ireland, is to read an article in Buckley's magazine pronouncing that the death of the white American working-class is a desirable thing. This is the class that sweated to make America great, to create the shrinking capital it is now merely living on, the class that sacrificed itself to defeat Hitler in a continent far from home. The assertion they deserve to die, as with any other group of people so targeted, is nothing less than satanic. I would expect such from the cultural marxists, but from a denizen of conservatism so-called this is truly shocking.

Indeed. One wouldn't put anything past some that are in control. Still, I retain hope in your military and those charged with the defence of your national security such as your police and the FBI. The military mindset is more difficult, though not impossible, to wholly corrupt. I take credence in a recent report in the London Review of Books that the Joint Chiefs of Staff effectively defied to a great degree the implementation of the policies of the Obama regime in the Middle East. Had they not done so the victory of ISIS in Syria would have been assured.

A further example of the greater integrity of the military mind is the example of General Sisi in Egypt who has restored order and reached out to the Coptic community, not to mention challenging his imams to propagate a non-violent Islam.

I agree and am not planning on abandoning my duty to vote. But, I base it in reality and from my imperfect lens of eternity. I posted this yesterday but I think it bears a bit of repeating. The US was founded on the principles of the Declaration of Independence which basically says all individual rights come from God. Governments must ensure these rights and we as individuals consent to allow governments. When governments fail to do this as was the case with the British monarchy, we must change the government. So here we are today and the current government (not any individual leader), but our system no longer ensures the rights accorded us by God. We rejected Him and in fact have replaced Him with false gods. This is my world view right now. Can a leader help- yes, but only a little. Like Israel of old, we are in the dessert and only God can take us to the Promised Land in His time and through only His grace. And I'm ok with that. My hope is knowing He will save us just as Christ personally saved me on the Cross 2000+ years ago. I think this Year Of Mercy is very important and is more my hope than this election ever could be. Sorry if this cones across as a preachy rant. Peace.

    DS,
You are correct to be worried about a False Flag or "Wag the Dog" scenario. It is a tactic that has been used by failed &/or tyrannical governments throughout History to maintain their power! Over the past 7 years just about every Alphabet Agency in the Federal Government USA has been stockpiling guns-n-ammo, buying Urban Assault Vehicles, organizing Swat Teams and making "Plans" to ... do what exactly!!?? Oh! That's it! "To Protect the Children" .. Yeah! Right!!
Once they close down the transport hubs ... National Security/Public "Safety" Concerns .. See!?? ... they will use food, water and medical supplies to "control" the population. Control of essential supplies is a much better weapon than guns & bayonets and this tactic too has been time tested by Bad-Guys ......... Got Spam-n-Beans-n-H2O in your pantry yet??

    GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!

Preachy? Not at all. It might be a rant, but I have these all the time myself, and they are a normal response to what we see happening around us! I completely agree with you and think we are both saying the same thing in different ways. Present circumstances seem unprecedented and extraordinary, with the so-called right being unmasked as sharing the same covenant with the devil as the left. There is nothing to do but put one's trust in the Sacred Heart.

Still, in the interests of justice, I think poor old Trump is entitled to quite a bit of exoneration, no matter his many faults, due to the immense reaction he has provoked from these afore-mentioned elements. Of course, it is not due to any personal merit, but as the representative of the ordinary American it has been his lot to be the lightning rod for this animus against all that is traditional.

Thanks DeGaulle.. Besides scriptures, I'm reading a lot of de Tocqueville lately. Although a Frenchman, he had the heart of an American and his predictions describe us right now

“It is indeed difficult to imagine how men who have entirely renounced the habit of managing their own affairs could be successful in choosing those who ought to lead them. It is impossible to believe that a liberal, energetic, and wise government can ever emerge from the ballots of a nation of servants.”

"I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers – and it was not there . . . in her fertile fields and boundless forests and it was not there . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce – and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution – and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

If the choice is to vote for Hitler or Stalin I will not vote. IMO, Hillary or Trump would be voting for the lesser of two evils. I may have to stick to local and state elections this year, if we still have the ability to vote.

    Nonsense.

Hillary is an unrepentant pro-deather and unrepentant anti-American. Trump, while not perfect, is moving in the right direction on pro-life issues. A no-vote in such a case would not only be a slap in the face to those of us who have served in harm's way for this country, but would also effectively be a vote for Hillary.

By the way, your comparing Trump to Hitler is disgusting.

National Review is a Neocon rag. It is anti-American to its core and promotes the Neocon agenda of perpetual unjust war and "spreading of democracy." National Review supported Obama's demonic coup in Ukraine, his demonic "Arab Spring," and they support the demonic attempt to destroy Syria and remove the one man - Assad - who has protected the Christians of Syria.

I don't think so Richard. After recently watching a documentary on the rise of Hitler, there is uncannily similarities in their speech, anger, vulgarity, rhetoric, dominance, power and call for violence to name a few. You (like the rest of us) don't even really know what this man has deeply embedded in his heart, but once in a while it comes out of his lips and it is eerily close to what Hitler was prior to being elected.
