Oh, you're so right. I wasn't going to get involved this election for the exact reason you cite....but my political animal could not be restrained when watching Trump. I've been at this my whole life, and I can see him getting elected the same way Obama did...and it is just too much to take.

You are right to remind me that I just need to accept Gods will if he should get elected...or if there is an election.

He is in control....not any of us! I've never doubted that...at all.
Just trying to fight the good fight....worthless thou it may be.

I needed the reminder too! Thank you.

I have a "do something/ fix something" personality and sometimes I forget that God is in control. That sometimes He just wants me to trust His will, even if I don't like it. Sometimes fasting and praying on my arthritic knees with offering the pain up, is all He wants from me.

(((Beth))) I'm with you! It's hard to see all that is happening in our country and not WANT to fight for what is good and right. It's difficult to see, what is looking like more and more each day, the end of the American era. Perhaps Charlie J. Is right- these things must come.

Things are happening fast. Here is an excellent article on what is transpiring now, especially in light of the untimely death of SCOTUS Justice Antonin Scalia. May God bless his soul.

The Constitution Will Be Ruled "Un" Constitutional!

    Dear CIGAs,

What a sad day Saturday was for the world and also the United States. Normally I try to stay with economic/finance and geopolitical logic in my writings. Half of today’s writing will discuss the Turkish (and coming Saudi) assault on Syria, the final half will discuss the very untimely death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. It is usually better to steer clear of politics but today’s missive will give the public trolls a chance to scream prior to my work becoming part of the premium content section at JSMineset.

The situation in the Middle East has been complicated for several thousand years but never more so than it is today. At its core and “publicly” you have the dislike between the two Muslim factions Sunni and Shia and the struggle between the West and the East. Business must also be added into the mix and when I use the word “business” I am speaking of oil. The situation is extremely complicated and confusing to the point of not really making sense of who friend or foe is. I believe a good description of the very confusing situation can be read here.http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-...hells-syria-second-day-saudi-warplanes-arrive

From a very broad perspective here are a few observations. Because of Syria’s location, they are pivotal. You see, their land mass must be crossed in order for a pipeline from Western ally oil and gas into Europe. Russia, Syria’s “protector” Russia Prime Minister Warns US and Arab Countries: Invading Syria “will start a new world war” for a lack of better words, does not want the pipeline built as the energy flow strengthens Western business and is a direct competitor to their own energy industry. This can also be viewed from a currency standpoint and might even be called a “currency war”. One side pro dollar and the other wanting a move away from the dollar. A power struggle of epic proportions is unfolding between dollar and non-dollar interests.

One might ask “why now”? Why is this heating up and look to possibly have started at this moment in time? I believe simply because there is no more time. As I mentioned before this is about “business” and we’ll go one step further here. “Business” in the West (and globally) is collapsing. Whether it be physical in the form of trade or financial in the form of markets, the wheels are coming off rapidly. It is my opinion the West “NEEDS” war for several reasons. First, a war is needed to “point at” and be able to say “our policies were working but the war came along and changed everything”. Secondly, war (if not nuclear) is always good economically and has been used for centuries to boost demand and production. Lastly, those in power understand if nothing gets done they will lose their power or “control” if they lose the system. If the loss of the system coincides with war the people can be further fooled into “begging” to be saved. We can only pray that somehow, some way, this does not go full blown but I believe the odds are slim and getting slimmer with each day.

As for the sad day America had yesterday, I inadvertently called this exactly two weeks ago. In an interview I made mention “the U.S. is just one Supreme Court Justice away from socialism/communism/dictatorship” because a shift in the balance of power at the high court will be the final nail in the American coffin. I can hear the liberals screaming already but “socialism” (really communism) is the main reason our country has completely lost its way. Even though socialism has been proven a complete economic disaster in real life, “utopia” still sounds pretty cool …depending on which “half” you belong to!

To frame this discussion, the U.S. has never been as divided as it is today since the Civil War. I would even venture to say it is MORE divided today than during the civil war. The outright “hatred” between liberals and conservatives is now so great, no “discussion” can even be had. You know where I stand on this subject. Logically, if you tell someone he will not get the full fruit of his labor or investment because it must be shared, the incentive is to not work as hard. Conversely, if you tell someone they can get something for nothing, what incentive is there to work at all? After a time, no one wants to work and “everyone has nothing” because little to nothing is being produced. Any liberal who denies this needs only to look at there very own poster child, Venezuela Venezuela´s response to food shortages? Grow your own food at home ! Suffice it to say, anytime a country has less than half its population supporting another non-working and larger half, IT’S OVER!

The various topics in the balance are numerous including The Constitution itself. I would say a balance of power shift to communism will result in “The Constitution itself being ruled ‘UN’ Constitutional”. We have already seen the disaster named Obamacare destroy care availability and explode premiums (for those who MUST pay) into the stratosphere. In fact, there are now more uninsured in the U.S. than there were before “everyone” was supposed to be covered. This is because the insurance is now either unaffordable for those who WERE covered or by their employers NOW cutting work hours back to no more than 29 per week.

How “free” will free speech be if you are allowed to espouse your opinion ONLY if it agrees with whoever is in power? We already know the liberals want to ban guns because they are “bad”. Are guns bad when your own government goes “rogue” and makes demands of you at gunpoint? The original framers of The Constitution saw religious and economic oppression at the end of a gun, a “well armed” militia is what keeps the government honest. They knew this then, those voting for unicorns and skittles now will soon understand the concept. I can only wonder what people will think when their right to assemble is denied when the assembly opposes those making the rules? Just understand this, once these rights are gone, they are gone forever and too late …you will never get back what you give away!

Our forefathers knew, saw and warned of everything transpiring today as if they had a crystal ball. Many world leaders also knew this. China’s Mao knew it, he understood and even said in 1971 the U.S. would fall because we would destroy our own currency. Hitler knew he had to change the mindset of an entire nation and there is no better way to do this than to rewrite the history taught to children. This is very similar to today’s “common core” pabulum we pay our taxes to teach our children.

    http://www.wnd.com/2016/02/historian-heres-progressives-strategy-to-destroy-americas-heroes/

To finish and no doubt irritate those with poor logic and knowledge of history, I can only hope and pray the Senators elected in 2014 do what they were elected to do. Undoubtedly Mr. Obama will send a (or several) nomination to fill Justice Scalia’s vacant chair. I remind you of the following because the screams of “follow The Constitution” is already bellowing from the left. The populace overwhelmingly elected Republicans and threw out incumbents with the promise Mr. Obama would be “stopped”. We even heard promises of the repeal of Obamacare. We can only pray these newly elected Republicans follow the will of the people and block any nominations until WE THE PEOPLE get to vote again, this time even LOUDER! If the Senate were to confirm ANY nomination prior to the next election you will know for a fact they have been bought and paid for …and the country we knew as the United States of America is OVER!

The above spoke from a “rights” standpoint. If we look at the U.S. from a strictly financial standpoint, unless facts and mathematics can be somehow magically changed, electing Jesus Christ himself as president will not be enough to avoid the inevitable default …though we would treat each other much more kindly! I pray for Justice Scalia’s soul and offer prayers and condolences to his family and those close to him. I will also pray for those dancing for joy on his grave. Quite revolting and mean spirited but that is “who” this country has become!

Yes Ally, regardless of what party wins power, I'm firmly convinced that we are a nation gone under. Being mindful too that God could turn this nation around, I also believe him when He said," “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

So, we just need to keep the faith...and fight the good fight.

    Thank you Ally!

The "Bottom Line" to all this is we must VOTE Our Faith & Conscience and encourage our Family/Friends to do likewise! This is NOT the year to stay home on Election Day.... and keep uppermost in our minds that The Lord is in control!!

    Beth,

I do not doubt your sincerity. I also like Ted Cruz. But after the experiences we have had with the Bush's, McCain's, Dole's, Romney's, and the Paul Ryan's, who is really conservative. The joke has been on us.

All of these current politicians are liars... all of them. They all work together once they are elected. They do the "democrat/republican" thing to divide the nation and distract us from what is really going on... enslaving the American people.
When has a republican shrank government and ELIMINATED a taxes?
When has a democrat opened the borders?
Sure, in a limited capacity, they've done some things but none have ever done everything they've said. Why? Well, their excuse is to blame the other party or the previous president or anyone but themselves.

I will vote for Trump if we still have an election because he's not a career politician. I don't like a lot of what he says but I guess I'm at the point where I'll take the "devil I don't know" because the ones I do have ruined my country.

If I had my druthers, I'd want a president that only collected taxes for a national military and to maintain Interstate Highways. All other national government spending would go away and all other taxes would stay with the people... in their paychecks! STATES would have to pick up the rest.
It's always been my experience that the people closest to the fight make the best decisions about how to fight.

Cruz is the only anti establishment candidate. The establishment will not support Cruz because he stood up to them from the day one!

He took up the cause to defund planned parenthood and was against the budget because of it, but the establishment passed it anyhow. Everything real conservatives want, he tried...and bucked the system, even his own party. He is one of almost none....that pushed back against that spineless gang of establishment republicans. He is a committed Christian and is a very moral man. He is my first pick. If I had to pick a second, it would be Rubio. Christians are splitting they votes and because of that, trump is ahead.

Folks think that trump is anti establishment, but in reality, he more of a democratic liberal. If it's trump/Hillary...we're done.

Trump is a progressive and it's finally starting to show...I just hope folks find out before he gets the nomination.

Well, before you vote for the devil you don't know, please understand that what you are likely to get is much worse than the worse republican ...his history is one of a major liberal, and his real positions are starting to come out. Cruz is a true anti establishment , Christian conservative...with the record to prove it. He called Mitch McConnell a liar from the senate floor, because he is....he took on the top cat of the republican congress and that is why they will not support him. I'm like you in that I detest the majority of establishment republicans....they will do or say anything...they like the democrats just want to keep their power and jobs....but, please , before you vote for the devil you don't know, realize that he really might just be a devil.with Cruz, you don't have that concern...he has a proven, conservative record. Please, look at it...

James Dobson Making Robo-Calls Supporting Ted Cruz In South Carolina

    http://www.redstate.com/streiff/201...obo-calls-supporting-ted-cruz-south-carolina/

In a recorded phone message made to South Carolina voters on Sunday night, James C. Dobson, the evangelical leader, called on Republicans to support Senator Ted Cruz for president as the only real alternative to Donald J. Trump.

In the message, which was paid for by the Courageous Conservatives PAC, an outside group supporting Mr. Cruz’s campaign, Mr. Dobson said the other candidates in the race were essentially helping Mr. Trump.

“Other Republicans are certainly worthy of consideration, but at this point it looks like a vote for anyone other than Ted Cruz is a vote for Donald Trump,” Mr. Dobson said in the message, a recording of which was obtained by The New York Times. “For people of faith, who care about religious liberty, life and marriage, it’s time for us to rally around Senator Ted Cruz.”

Mr. Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family, a powerful Christian activist organization, backed Mr. Cruz late last year. But his endorsement may be consequential in South Carolina, where a significant bloc of the primary vote comes from conservative evangelicals.

View attachment 4350 Donald Trump: Planned Parenthood “does do wonderful things”
    http://cal-catholic.com/?p=22552

In Saturday’s ninth GOP presidential debate, Donald Trump shared just how far his pro-life values go when he expressed his admiration and praise for Planned Parenthood.

Senator Ted Cruz called Trump out for the businessman’s openness to keeping taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood. Trump responded angrily to Cruz, but then went on to exclaim that the organization that aborts hundreds of thousands of American children every year “does do wonderful things.”

Thomas Sowell Endorses Cruz Because Of The Supreme Court

    http://www.redstate.com/california_yankee/2016/02/16/thomas-sowell-endorses-cruz-supreme-court/

Thomas Sowell, economist, social theorist, political philosopher, author and Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, endorses Sen. Ted Cruz. Sowell’s main, and perhaps sole, reason for backing Cruz is the Supreme Court vacancy resulting from the unexpected death of Justice Scalia and the advanced ages of other justices:

What Trump really said about Planned Parenthood:

"While Planned Parenthood is engaging in the despicable practice of abortion — in addition to then selling aborted baby body parts to the highest bidder — the organization should receive no taxpayer dollars. The liberal left wing always claims that Planned Parenthood isn’t about abortion and that it’s about other general areas of women’s health. I am totally in favor of women’s health and if they can put their money where their mouth is, and stop the abortion services at Planned Parenthood entirely, we can talk about government funding for many of the other aspects of the organization that do a lot of good."

“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly,” Trump also said in a CNN interview. “And you can’t have it. And you just shouldn’t be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that.”
