While we're waiting for the Great Catholic Monarch, we'll have to make do with the devil we know rather than the devils your heroes would foist on the world in the name of freedom and democracy. So who are my "heroes"? I've been expressing on the opposition side....rather, who I oppose. And they've each received equal opportunity criticism....mostly due to their similar goals and means to those goals....being then, quite consistent.
Well, if we're relying on Baron zu Googleberg as a prophet, let's hope his prophesies are not of the plagiarised variety. You might need to read up on who got bailed out and who did the bailing in Europe. The bondholders (gamblers) did well. The great unwashed will be paying the debt for generations to come. Another example of unfettered capitalism giving oxygen to communists like Syriza in Greece. Good night.
Obviously I'm up to snuff on the history here....he's not an academic...but was current and realistic job wise. But lighter moccasins (esp. the Germans with their love for "Herr Doctor") put more emphasis on titles rather than real world strategic results. So yes, of course you admit to the necessitated bailouts, as should have been expected in any utopian scheme that doesn't take into account differences in cultures...esp. between the north and the south. Not revealing to me anything hidden. Even Merkel wishes now for the help of one such as the Baron. Cut off your nose to spite your face maybe?
Differences in cultures is a load of tripe - a suggestion that the northerners work hard to support the lazy southerners. It's no more than a modern take on the Protestant/Lutheran mantra about Catholics worshipping idols and praying to the dead leading to too many holy days at a time when the only holidays from work were holy days. The utopian scheme is on track to give the Germans and maybe one or two others complete fiscal control of Europe, the latest lecture being "what we need is more Europe". The baron lost his doctorate because he couldn't refute the claim that his work was plagiarism. He fell off the high moral ground and resigned. Who cares whether Merkel misses him. His fall from grace won't leave him short of a penny, unlike the working people in the "periphery" who were sacrificed on the altar of the Euro god.
My my ...his so called "fall from grace" was strictly, by German standards, punished. Now such pride is preventing them (and others in Europe) from some good expertise and look what they're stuck with. Industry is not my idea for the cause of such necessary and "charitable" bailouts but those analysts who simply know the history....but, after all, the way things are everywhere today that certainly won't last much longer. The whole world (beyond the Illuminati types) is bankrupt. Other than that I don't know what the other stuff you mention has to do with anything I pointed out.....economic realities are now excused by some Protestant/Lutheran mantra? Silly. Didn't have this problem before the invention of the seamless Europe. It was simply more like Viva le difference!
I had a long post last night trying to explain how we taxpayers are saddled with private debt, but I decided what's the point so edited out most of it. The argument could go on forever and change nothing. Suffice it to say that I hope some future generation of Christians doesn't look back at this period and blame our generation's sanctions for starving the Russians back into embracing communism all because Putin stood in the way of NATO's and Sunni Islam's plans for the Middle East. We could be instigating the realisation of prophecies. As it is, we may all answer before God for remaining silent as genocide is perpetrated on our Christian brothers and sisters in the Levant.
I urge all to read Mark Mallets latest. He writes what i believe to be true. Those who are looking for the boogie man still in Russia are decades too late. Russia's errors did spread. To Europe and the US. But communism fell, the walls came down, Christianity is being renewed and defended in Russia. We are the bad guys now, folks. As Charlie predicts, Russia will probably be the one to help save us when China attacks. Read Mark, he's spot on "All this is to say that Russia has suddenly become one of the few places on earth where Christianity is not only protected but encouraged. And that reality was only further strengthened by the recent historical meeting between the Russian Patriarch Kirill and Pope Francis. In what is a prophetic joint statement, they decried the slaughter of Christians… but presaged that their blood would bring about the unity of Christians. Need say we are in a new Cold War. I hope it stays just cold and diesnt become a hot one. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...d-war-as-nato-chief-criticizes-nuclear-threat
There's so much spin about this new cold war that I wouldn't believe any of them unless they were attached to a lie detector. BBC had an interview with one of the rebel leaders who said that unless the West gets rid of Assad the fight will go on and Europe can expect 15 million Syrian refugees. That's what happens when you give Islamists a inch. They might be losing ground in Syria but soon they'll be reclaiming Europe for Islam. Since they regard all territory lost to the Crusades as Islamic Lands and their forebears only reached the gates of Vienna, this lot will have surpassed their wildest dreams thanks to NATO. Euronews interviewed fighters in Syria who said that it it isn't a real ceasefire as long as their Al Nusra and Mujahadin brothers are legitimate targets. NATO trotted out someone representing the Free Syrian Army. We hadn't heard of them for ages - not since their General took off to Qatar. I don't know who they are calling the leader these days but I think the one who ran to Qatar was named Idris. He defected from Assad's army and when Obama and McCain were waxing lyrical about the friendly rebels they were claiming that he would take half the army with him. Have they taken him down from the Qatari shelf and dusted him off for the talks? Come to think of it, I wouldn't even trust the lie detector.
It's hot and getting hotter in Syria. It's not a matter of who us spinning what. The reality is there are multiple well armed factions on all sides and the ante is being raised. A few wrong moves and the entire region and beyond can be pulled into this mess. We need the intercession now of the Queen of Peace. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-...n-syria-imminent-saudis-set-launch-airstrikes
I see things in black and white. It is quite clear to me that the US/West has been supporting the overthrow of Assad by any means possible. Yes, that means OBama and John Mcain have been backing ISIS (the enemy of your enemy is your friend). Also on their team is NATO, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the gulf states. Russia is supporting Syria and soon will be supporting the US in its fight against China. Since Russia and Syria have gained the upper hand the anti-Assad faction has panicked. These are also your one-world rulers. Assad was supposed to be gone by now and Russia increasingly isolated (for a variety of reasons; they are still Christian, they have the banker's gold which they need back or their currency turns into monopoly money, etc). The situation has blown up on the one-world people. Now, they need a war to cover their collective _sses.
Bingo! I just got finished listening to the Republican South Carolina debate and it sickened me to listen to the comments made by self-proclaimed Catholics Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio. Jeb Bush said that Russia will never be our ally and Jeb also supported our continuing efforts to remove Assad against the will of the Syrian people and in contravention of the principles of Just War. Jeb Bush seems to have no problem with us arming terrorist so-called "Syrian Rebels" so long as Assad goes. It makes me sick. And then Rubio flat out lied when he stated that Assad was responsible for using chemical weapons on children in Syria. That is a flat out lie and I remember following that story when it broke a few years ago. I remember the initial Western propaganda that blamed all the atrocities in Homs, Houla, Tremesh, etc. on Assad and then later it was discovered that the Syrian Rebels were the ones committing the atrocities and then blaming them on Assad. Now we learn just the other day according to John Brennan that ISIS has already used chemical weapons and Western intelligence is warning that they will most likely use them in Europe and the States in 2016. All thanks to Obama and the Neocons arming them in the first place and unleashing chaos in Syra. After listening to the warmongering comments of Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio in tonight's debate, it would be dangerous to have either of them as commander in chief. Trump had the courage to tell the truth about Russia and Syria and he got booed by so-called conservatives. This tells me all I need to know about the direction our country is headed.
It makes one wonder what the first two words of this thread title refers to. I believe Cruz has advocated "carpet bombing" the Middle East.
America can disentangle itself from the Middle East any time it likes. If they are encouraging the Turks and Saudis to take on Russia, they must be confident that Putin can be beaten with US weapons and minimal US fighting personnel. Otherwise the Democrats wouldn't risk having troops on the ground in an election year. I suppose that there will be a war with China at some stage, but probably not for years. Most likely, your problem will be in your own back yard. Obama's people are sending out lots of signals that if they don't get what they want there will be multiple Ferguson-style disruptions, irrespective of who is the new President. The message is being conveyed in lots of ways, from motor mouth Van Jones to Beyonce's performance at the super bowl. She might have looked like a window display in Amsterdam's red light district, but the whole act was sending out the same sinister message. Atheists prefer to use proxies to do their fighting, which could explain their love affair with Muslims. The US has changed for ever, and the prospects for Europe are dire. I feel sorry for the Kurds, although they brought their trouble on themselves by being Obama's boots on the ground and being fragmented from the start. I suppose that the Syrian Kurds will be offered some kind of consolation prize so their leaders can save some face. Funny that the oh-so-secular West would do the dirty on the secular Kurdish fighters in favour of Erdogan of "there is no such thing as moderate Islam, there is only Islam" and "democracy is like a train that you can leave when you reach your destination" fame. As Miker says, we need the intercession of the Queen of Peace. Unfortunately, if the Old Testament Israelites are an example of what happens when we turn away from God, we could be in for a long, rough ride before there is any intercession. Anyone looking out for signs and wonders predicted in unapproved apparitions and locutions could be dead and gone before Heaven intervenes. We need to pray for future generations while also paying attention to the Fatima message that we pray for unbelievers.
It is hard to see these pictures of a new church built recently in Moscow, paid for by many regular believers, and think the faith is not being revived in Russia. http://www.orthodoxartsjournal.org/...-protection-of-the-mother-of-god-at-yasenevo/
Thanks, Dawn, for posting that link. The church is magnificent. Sadly such an achievement in the supposedly Christian West would be derided as a waste of money and effort which proves more than anything a lack of understanding of the meaning of the Real Presence.
Just saw this report that the Turkish army crossed border and is in a Syria now. A mortar she'll just missed the Russian embassy in Damascus. Even if there is no intention to fight, my concern is there can be miscalculations by any side now which could be the spark to ignite a war. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-...hells-syria-second-day-saudi-warplanes-arrive I'm trying not to get overly hysterical here, but this article seems very, very plausible. If true, the timeline this author provides to all out war, including use of tactical nukes is a mere 14 days away (Feb. 28th). Man, it just doesn't feel right. There is this overwhelming sense for me of the you know what is hitting the fan. And the "sheeple" in this country just don't know or care. But, I think war us very close at hand. http://themillenniumreport.com/2016...es-invading-syria-will-start-a-new-world-war/
Turkey and Saudi Arabia are the most brutal, tyrannical governments in the Middle East. And they are supported not only by NATO but also by Israel. Turkey and Saudi Arabia are far worse than Saddam or Gaddafi or Mubarak ever were. I recall that all of the 9/11 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia. But instead of bombing Saudi Arabia after 9/11, we bombed Iraq who happened to be the enemy of Saudi Arabia and Israel. That's right: American men and women died fighting Saudia Arabia and Israel's war in Iraq and now we are poised to fight another war for foreign interests in Syria. That's why establishment candidates like Hillary and Jeb and Marco are all in favor of supporting the terrorist Syrian Rebels. I am also reminded that the Russian pilot of the Su-24 fighter-bomber that was shot down in Syria, was gunned down at the hands of of Alparslan Çelik, a Turkish citizen and a member of the Turkish terrorist group the Grey Wolves - the same organization that Pope John Paul II's assassin belonged to.
Miker: I'm afraid that if the NATO leaders (Obama) want a war there will be a war. The Irish Times is just another hack newspaper, a poor imitation of the New York Times. Nobody outside the US who pays attention to anything other than the official press is surprised that ISIS were selling oil in Turkey. That's the Kurdish area of Turkey and the Kurds were posting photos. Would it be sinful to hope that a few stray nukes might hit Doha, Riyadh, Mecca and Istanbul? Well, maybe not Istanbul because it's a nice city with millions of people. Richard: Do the Grey Wolves have some kind of connection to the MHP? If so, they wouldn't be close to Erdogan. The MHP are ultra nationalists and not known for being allies of Erdogan, but anything is possible considering that Kurdish votes helped his rise to power and look at them now.
