A new book by our very own Peter Bennister of which he writes.

Just wanted to alert you to the publication on Amazon of my Kindle book No False Prophet: Pope Francis and his not-so-cultured despisers , a project that I owe to an idea of Charlie Johnston (to whom it is dedicated, along with Mark Mallett). The basic idea is to debunk the 'Pope Francis=False Prophet' crowd in both their Evangelical and Catholic varieties by showing that what they are saying simply doesn't stand up logically. There is an extensive section devoted to Kelly Bowring and the 'Maria Divine Mercy' débâcle which ought to be of particular interest to folks on the MOG Forum. The book can be read for free by subscribers to KindleUnlimited (at least if they go through www.amazon.fr - I'm not sure what the situation is in other countries), otherwise I've priced it at $7.99 / 7,51 €, which is about as low as I thought I could go and still present myself as a serious author!

It is the time again to get my monthly free book so I hope to read and review it later.

It seems timely for Peter to write this as the Church may be moving towards Schism . It is especially good as it may be an antidote to Kelly Bowring.

I just read it in one big gulp!

Please, everyone - read this book. It fills a glaring need, and shines the light of logic onto so much confusion.

What a wonderful witness: our Peter B. said "Fiat" to a divine call, poured out his talents, and gave the Church this beautiful gift!

I have the one touch purchase option to thank for just having bought at £5.26 the book, having thought i was going to get it for free. But i see it as a blessing in disguise. I too think it shall do me good to read the book. And £5 is just a little more than the cost of a pint in London. :)
Sorry Peter for being so penny pinching in regards to a work worth many times the temporal value of a pint.

I am still reading Peter's book. Unexpectedly it makes me laugh quite a lot. The reason it makes me luagh is that Peter is constantly exposing the crazy ideas that circulate on the internet and print concerning prophecy and especially regardging trying to portray Pope Francis as a false Pope.

He begins with a little story of how travelling from Hungary he met a Swedish Engineer who believed Pope Francis was the False Pope and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff he had picked up from the internet. Peter comments that this was a highly educated guy. Peter is great at bursting these false balloons and is patient and kind and has loads of stamina from reading books which are full of nonsense in order to critique them. 'I on the other hand see material critical of the Cgurch and calling her the Whore of Babylon I tend to either loose my temper or move on swiftly.

Peter does things the right way and takes these false ideas to pieces bit by bit. He reminds me to keep using my brain on the net or I'll end up like a lot of other people, believing the moon is made of green cheese.:)

There is a very famous false Prophet/ Visionary from Ireland who hits me with emails from time to time and reads the forum regularly. He came out many years ago and said Pope Francis was a false Pope. At the start of his last email he called me stupid for saying The Holy Father was the true rightly elected Pontiff.

I don't feel the great need to get into long drawn out discussions with people about these things unless I sense their hearts are open. I admire Peter for writing these books and taking the huge amount of time and study it takes to put up counter arguments. I am afraid I am inclined to think to myself life is too short. But it takes someone to make the effort so bravo Peter.

But his last email made me smile, calling me stupid is not going to convert or should I say pervert me to his particular point of view.

I still think there is pride involved in this stuff. Considerable pride. ...and yes maybe a smidgeon of stupidity.:D;)

I finished Peter's book. They say you should save the best wine to last and Peter appears to have done this. Right towards the end of the book he quotes four different visionaries he feels are authentic and quotes messages from Our Lady on Pope Francis himself. So I found these so interesting, one of them in particular as you are kind of getting things direct from heaven, the horses mouth so to speak. I am going to try to quote these if I can find them:

..I hope Peter does not mind me doing this, I think it will encourage people to read his book, rather than the reverse.

Yes, they are at the annex of the book , right at the back, were you might miss them:)

It is entitiled, 'Pope Francis in Contemporary Prophecy'.

These four are people who members of the Catholic Hierarchy have expressed support ofr or have been involved in their investigation.....

Message of St Joseph , March 19, 2013

'I bless the Pope and the whole Holy Church . I am beside the Pope of my Divine Son in order to help Him, protect him and bless him always.

By the way I discovered Pope Francis spoke on St Joe on this same day, you can read this here:

    https://w2.vatican.va/content/franc...cesco_20130319_omelia-inizio-pontificato.html

    Blessed Virgin Mary , May 15 2013.

'The times are difficult for the Church and for the world, but God always comes to the aid of all His children, for his grace and His Divine Aid will never be lacking. This is the time when two Popes are close to one another and help eack other; one in silence, in prayer in sufferings for te other one who must gide , speak act and give testimony to the teachings of my Son Jesus to all. Two lives , two flames alight for the good of the Church and the world. My Son, Benedict XVI gives you the example of knowing how to renounce, to sacrifice oneself and to pray for the good of the Church and the current Pope, something that many do not do'

Thank you, padraig, for posting this video, although I think the video highlights the confusion that lies ahead in the area of contemporary prophecy. The video has Mark Miravelle promoting the messages from Edson Glauber but also those coming from 'Anne, the Lay Apostle'. Peter knows I am rather skeptical of the messages from Edson Glauber but I am much more skeptical of 'Anne' who promotes her messages under the 'Direction for our times' title. Dr Miravelle actively promotes her messages in quite a strong way and so it seems inappropriate for him to be promoting another person's messages alongside them in this video.

I think the common factor here, from Dr Miravelle's point of view, is that he views both these as 'Church authorised'. But in the case of 'Anne the Lay Apostle', that authorisation relies solely on the support of her local bishop who is clearly happy with her to the extent of providing a paid priest to help her promote her messages! But I fear that the local bishop in question is making a big mistake in discernment (as is Dr Miravelle) and that all this will encourage confusion in the future with authentic prophecy (as from Medjugorje).

There will always be dissenters who won't believe anything heaven is revealing until it is approved by the Vatican and that's expected. Then again, there will be those who will easily follow anything. For me, I feel I know what brings me peace and what is consistent with church teaching and what echo's prophetic consensus. For those messages that don't, I do not pay much attention to them. Scripture itself tells us that there will be prophets in our time and to test their prophecy and keep that which is good. Heaven is pleased when the faithful listen to what they are revealing and saddened when most do not.

Personally i have only ever found peace in the messages given through Anne the lay apostle.
My sense is that she is a prophet not appreciated in her own village. But everyone is free to disagree on this private revelation.
    Peace to all.

I am sorry I cannot post much as I had a sleepless night. I went down to the seacoast to see the new storm come in at Whitehead lighthouse. Bad idea, it got me excited and I could not sleep.

It was quite a sight seeing a storm coming in from the Atlantic.

I walked a little under the lighthouse along the cliffs at the bottom but the waves were so huge I came back.

I am happy to be able to offer a correction to my statement that Edson Glauber is to my knowledge the only visionary associated with an officially-approved apparition (i.e. Itapiranga) who is still purportedly receiving locutions/visions. There is a second one: Gladys Quiroga de Motta of San Nicolas in Argentina. The catechetical messages received by her during the period 1983-1990 (which run to nearly 700 pages in the Spanish original) have been fairly widely disseminated and can be consulted in English at http://www.virgen-de-san-nicolas.org/lm.asp?idx=2 . What is not so well-known is that in 2014 Bishop Hector Sabatino Cardelli re-launched the publication of the private ongoing messages to Gladys Quiroga with his personal approval: those received up until December 31, 2014 have now been published in Spanish and can be read online at https://www.scribd.com/user/256876196/Devotos-a-Maria-del-Rosario-de-San-Nicolas . This is major news to the extent that we now have a considerable body of church-approved messages from a contemporary seer, messages which, like those of Edson Glauber, offer the additional benefit of constituting a benchmark of sorts for the evaluation of other yet-to-be approved sources. Naturally it is a logical possibility that Bishop Cardelli could be mistaken, just as Bishop Carillo Gritti could be wrong about Itapiranga, Cardinal Erdö in his promotion of Elizabeth Kindelmann or Archbishop Picchieri of Trani that of Luisa Piccarreta ... etc., but my sense is that to argue along such lines is to take an unwarrantedly pessimistic view of the way in which God guides the Church today. So I hope to open a new thread shortly concerning San Nicolas once I begin studying this material.

Bishop Cardelli's prefatory words to the messages of Gladys Quiroga de Motta read as follows:

'In San Nicolas, the Most Blessed [Virgin] Mary, in private revelations entrusted to Mrs Gladys Motta, and in simple language adapted to the person of today, counsels us as a mother does with her son. Faced by a disordered world and the loss of the supernatural sense of life, She directs us, as a mother and teacher, recalling for us what Jesus said and inviting us to listen, accept and declare what He is saying to us. Praised be the Lord for the immense gift of his Mother, whom he entrusted to us as her children.'

    Mons. Hector Sabatino Cardelli
